Abstract

The implementation of the POAC management model (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling) in Islamic educational programs effectively supports structured and value-based learning environments. In programs like the "Family Quran School" based on Thematic Tafsir of Q.S. Luqman, POAC facilitates systematic planning of curriculum and activities aligned with Islamic teachings, clear organization of roles and responsibilities, active mentoring and exemplary leadership, and continuous evaluation through monitoring and reflection. Studies in Islamic boarding schools and Quranic education institutions demonstrate that POAC enhances religious character development, teacher professionalism, and program quality by integrating Islamic values with modern management principles. Planning involves designing vision, mission, and thematic content; organizing ensures task delegation and collaboration; actuating emphasizes habituation and role modeling; and controlling includes regular assessments and behavioral monitoring. This model helps maintain religious identity while addressing contemporary educational challenges, fostering independent and moral character among students. Thus, POAC offers a practical and culturally contextualized framework for managing Islamic educational programs like the "Family Quran School" effectively

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of digital communication psychology in shaping the self-control of Gen Z students and the mechanism of fear of missing out (FOMO) on social media. The study uses a phenomenological qualitative approach with subjects aged 18–23 years who actively use social media. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation of digital habits, and documentation, then analyzed thematically. The results of the study show that FOMO is formed through a cycle of stimulus–meaning–response: digital notifications and posts trigger interpretations based on affiliation needs, giving rise to anxious emotions, which then encourage compulsive behavior that is reinforced by platform algorithms. FOMO affects three dimensions of self-control, namely attention and priority disruption at the cognitive level, social anxiety at the emotional level, and impulsivity and task procrastination at the behavioral level. Students develop multidimensional coping strategies including technical restrictions on device use, cognitive reframing of content meaning, strengthening face-to-face relationships, and spiritual practices. These findings confirm that self-control in the digital age is not solely a personal capacity, but rather the result of a negotiation between individual agency and the structure of communication technology. The research implies the importance of digital communication psychology literacy in higher education to strengthen students' emotional regulation and attention management. This study contributes to enriching communication psychology studies by offering a conceptual model of FOMO based on the process of meaning-making and contextual self-control practices among Indonesian students.

Abstract

The transformation of religious social programs has become an urgent need amid the social dynamics of society and the increasing complexity of family and religious issues at the local level. This community service focuses on assisting the management of humanistic da'wah at PC Muslimat NU in Nganjuk Regency with the aim of strengthening program management to be more focused, collaborative, and impactful. The activity was carried out in early September 2025 using a participatory action research (PAR) approach through the stages of situation analysis, participatory planning, management workshops, guided implementation, and reflective evaluation. The results of the community service showed structural changes in the form of the preparation of integrated work plans and program evaluation indicators, cultural changes in collaborative work patterns, and the strengthening of women's participatory leadership. The integration of humanistic values and professional management systems has proven to encourage the sustainability of religious social programs as instruments of social transformation based on women's organizations.
