The background of the community service program is to provide awareness for young priests in the Surabaya Diocese about the importance of data. Data is an important thing that can be used as a basis for decision making. Therefore, it is necessary to provide an understanding of a data and how to read the data. The methods used in this community service are 1) teaching about research methodology, and 2) training in data processing and reading data using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The result of this community service program is that young priests in the Surabaya Diocese become more aware, understand, and can make decisions based on data so that they are able to carry out data-based parish services.

Chinese philosophy, specifically Confucianism gave color to the lives of Chinese people in Indonesia. This paper will try to describe the teachings of Confucius in pursuing the bonum commune through the main principle “zheng ming” （证明） as a basis for achieving that. However, in explaining this main principle, this paper will try to explore the concept of “datong” as a concept of harmony dreamed of by Confucius, and after that the author will explain some concepts that need to be possessed in order to materialize. Finally, this paper will reflect on how filial piety played as the key to the realization of “zheng ming” in building a harmonious society (datong) in Indonesia

The Second Vatican Council (1962-1965) has brought change into the Roman Catholic Church. Since that day, various changes has taken place within the Roman Catholic Church. Furthermore, the Roman Catholic Church which has always been associated with the Western world, especially European and North American countries, is and will face the "Global South" phenomenon. Some recent studies have shown this real shift. This study will try to present how the “Global South” phenomenon occurs, and what’s the role of the Roman Catholic Church and also local Church, as well as the opportunity to grow and developed more. Discussing also how the Roman Catholic Church which has been built from a fairly long tradition for around two millennia will face the situation of its universality and also at the same time its diversities and localities as the Church becomes increasingly dominated by Catholics in the Global South region. Some of ideas are the Church should embraces Global South, increasingly develop the spirit of renewal and openness, and the most important thing is to involving the participation of local Church in South Countries to overcome social issues that occurs or we called it a Participatory Church.

Trinity is the root of Christian faith. People of God have a calling to embody it in their community. So that, this article would like to explain how the communion of the Holy Trinity can be initiated through the Christian family as the basic cell of community. It will analyse first the Holy Trinity as the origin of the Church for indicating the relationship between the Holy Trinity as the community and the Christian family as the miniature of the Church (ecclesia domestica). Afterward, it will demonstrate how the Christian family can endevour to live according to the spirit of the Holy Trinity and also how the Church seeks to its pastoral ministry to accompany the Christian family to be able to express her identity as the image of the Holy Trinity.

Gereja merupakan suatu organisasi yang memiliki sistem sehingga dibutuhkan suatu kemampuan manajerial bagi para pelaku yang bekerja di dalamnya, terutama para pemimpinnya (Pastor). Kemampuan manajerial tersebut diantaranya adalah pengelolaan keuangan, keorganisasian, dan sistem informasi manajemen. Kegiatan pengabdiaan masyarakat berupa lokakarya ini bertujuan memberi keterampilan bagi para pastor balita agar terampil dalam menyusun dan mengelola keuangan, keorganisasian, dan sistem informasi manajemen yang baik dalam karya pastoral. Sebagai bentuk evaluasi kegiatan lokakarya ini, para peserta diberi tugas merancang pengelolaan keuangan, keorganisasian, dan sistem informasi manajemen di paroki tempat karya masing-masing dan diberi masukan sebagai bentuk mengukur kemampuan peserta setelah lokakarya. Hasil kegiatan memperlihatkan semua peserta memiliki kemampuan dalam mengelola keuangan, keorganisasian, dan sistem informasi manajemen di paroki tempat kerja masing-masing dengan baik. Dalam jangka panjang diharapkan keterampilan tersebut menjadi salah satu faktor kemampuan manajerial bagi para pastor balita.

Encountering with Christ as Christians brings Christian acts as Christ’s acts because Christians’ acts are always act of faith. This cannot be separated from the role of conscience in human heart which relates to Magisterium. However, some Christians and theologians thought that Christians, in some of their human acts, do not need Magisterium because of the conscience in human heart that God has given show them to do good and avoid evil directly. Indeed, this opinion is not true. Christians always need Magisterium to act properly as the followers of Christ. Conscience is not individual truth but conscience is the voice of God which exists in human heart with Christian faith. Thus, Christians when they act something with their faith, they need Magisterium because knowing Christ is never knowing an idea of Christ but a personal faith experience to encounter with Christ. That’s why Christians have a relationship with Magisterium though conscience carries them to Jesus.

Catechesis is the soul of the Church. Every priest has a responsibility to secure his faithful to get to know well about his faith. A priest not only celebrates the sacraments but also teaches the truth of christian faith. Therefore, priests as “the catechesist of catechesists” must develop the pastoral of catechesis in their parishes. But, it is not easy to develop it without a good planning. Priests need to know which subjects and also how this duty can be indicated well. In order to estabilish that, priests have to look at all oppurtunities in their parishes until they find the posibility to indicate a good pastoral of catechesis.

It is quite often that obedience is misunderstood in moral life. Most people, including Catholics, argue that someone who inclines to obedience is not free. Morevover, some Catholics do not agree that they must obey to the Magisterium because it is frequently seen as human institution. Because of that, this paper wants to scrutinize that obedience is not contrary to human freedom. It clarifies that obedience to God is an obedience to the Magisterium, the teaching of the Church. And it wants demonstrate the truth of the role of the Holy Spirit which guarantees all Christians who obey to God are having moral freedom.

As a follower of Christ, the life of Christians must reflect on their daily reality. However, it is not always easy to achieve. Often, Christian families live in an environment that does not support them living their faith. Contraception and contraceptive mentality are flourished robustly in the society. In such situations, the Church gives directions to the faithful through its official teachings. Everything is returned to the divine plan that Christ has revealed to the Church. Documents from Casti Connubi to Amoris Laetitia show this thing.
