Abstract

Health Care Associated Infections (HAIs) are infections caused by microorganisms and bacteria that are obtained when patients are treated 3x24 hours not only in hospitals but also in other health care facilities and are not limited to infections only in patients, but also infections in health workers who obtained at the time of performing patient care procedures. The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of the HAIs Infection Prevention and Control Program at the Kendari City Regional General Hospital (RSUD). This research is qualitative research. Sampling procedure using purposive sampling technique, data collection was carried out by in-depth interviews, observation and focus group discussions (FGD). Participants in this study consisted of 4 men and 2 women. Data was collected by means of in-depth interviews, observation and focus group discussions (FGD). The qualitative research instrument is the researcher himself. Data analysis, using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) according to (Smith, Flowers et al. 2009) which consists of Reading and re-reading, Initial noting, Developing themes, Searching for connection across emergent themes, Moving the next cases, Looking for patterns across cases, Taking Interpretations to Deeper levels. The validity of the data includes Credibility, Transferability, Dependability, Confirmability. The results of this study discuss the input process: Leadership, process components: Implementation of committee work programs and output An overview of the incidence of Health Care-Associated Infections (HAIs) at the Kendari City Hospital.

Abstract

The total population is 287.70 million people, people who practice open defecation are 30, 31 million people. Access to sanitation nationally reached 81% with 30,636 ODF villages/Kelurahan. In Southeast Sulawesi, the realization of the number of villages/kelurahan that implemented STBM only reached 46.60%, not yet reaching the national average of 60.99%. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the Community-Based Total Sanitation Program (STBM) in Controlling the Community Environment in the Work Area of ​​the Bombana District Health Office, Southeast Sulawesi Province in 2021. This type of research was a qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive design. Informants in this study included: Head of Public Health Division and Head of Environmental Health Section and sanitarian Puskesmas and STBM managers, village officials. Human resources include community elements (local Village Government) as coordinators and community mobilizers; The Bombana Health Office through the public health sector, the environmental health section, acts as a verifier and mentoring staff from the Public Health Center in the Public Health sector as mentoring staff for triggering the STBM program. The availability of infrastructure that triggers the STBM program is still lacking. The policy from the Health Office is to increase the achievement of the STBM program through budget allocations from DAK and DAU which are given to village work areas that declare STOP open defecation (ODF). The planning process involves community elements as program targets through internal village meetings and Musrenbang level. Monitoring and monitoring activities are carried out by the Health Office as a verifier and sanitarian officer of the Puskesmas. The achievement of STBM indicators has not met the target, which is still reaching 40% of the National target of 75% of all STBM indicators. It is necessary to set a definite time target for the STBM program to be able to run according to the target set and it is hoped that there will be assistance and participation of the community and the Health Office in sending STBM reports.

Abstract

The general purpose of this study was to analyze the factors related to medication adherence of patients with diabetes mellitus in the working area of ​​the Rumbia Public Health Center, Bombana Regency. This research is an analytical survey research using a cross sectional design. The population in this study were all patients diagnosed with diabetes mellitus who were on an outpatient basis and registered/ domiciled in the working area of ​​the Rumbia Health Center, namely 196 people. The number of samples in this study were 85 people. The results of testing factors related to medication adherence of people with diabetes mellitus in the working area of ​​the Rumbia Health Center are as follows: There is a relationship between medication adherence of people with diabetes mellitus with knowledge (ρ = 0.000), attitude (ρ = 0.012), motivation (ρ = 0.000), family support (ρ = 0.000), support from health workers (ρ = 0.000), and the most dominant variable related to medication adherence of people with diabetes mellitus in the working area of ​​the Rumbia Public Health Center, Bombana Regency, was family support with Exp(B) or OR= 82,352 and the value of is 0.008. so it is recommended to further improve the prevention of complications by increasing patient compliance. For further researchers, this research is a contribution of thought which is expected to be used as reference material for other researchers who want to develop methods and studies related to diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

In the implementation of vaccination, not all elderly groups can be vaccinated, these groups are comorbid groups and Covid-19 survivors. Preliminary studies conducted note that there is still a negative perception of the Covid-19 vaccine. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the implementation of Covid-19 vaccination in the elderly in Kendari City. The data were analyzed using the chi square test analysis. The results showed that the knowledge of the elderly respondents in Kendari City, respondents who had good knowledge were 65 respondents (65.0%) while respondents with less knowledge were 35 respondents (35.0%). Respondents who have a good attitude there are 60 respondents (60.0%) while respondents with less attitude are 40 respondents (40.0%). Respondents who received support in the good category were 67 people (67.0%) while respondents with less family support were 33 people (33.0%). Respondents who assessed the waiting time for vaccination services in the good category were 56 people (56.0%) while the respondents who rated the waiting time for vaccination services in the poor category were 44 people (44.0%). There is a relationship between the implementation of vaccines in the elderly with knowledge (P-value < 0.000), attitude (P-value < 0.000), family support (P-value < 0.000), waiting time for services (P-value < 0.000). The conclusion in this study is that there is a significant influence between knowledge, family support and affordability of covid-19 vaccination in the elderly in Kendari City.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is a disease that has a rapid course of disease and can cause death in a short time, and often causes Extraordinary Events (KLB). The aims of study was to identify the implementation of the prevention and control program for Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (P2DBD) Kendari City through three aspects, namely the input system, process system and output system. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with in-depth interview method. The informants in this study were P2M Programmers who worked in Public Health Center which consisted of 5 Nursing Health Centers in Kendari City. Data collection techniques with in-depth interviews (in depth interviews) and document review. The results showed that in general the implementation of the P2DBD Program in Kendari City had been carried out well. In the input aspect, human resources are available at the Public Health Center, there is a division of tasks according to their respective fields and training is provided in order to maximize P2DBD. Facilities such as fogging machines, ambulances and Abate powder are available from the Kendari City Health Office. The budget used comes from the available BOK funds and is sufficient to finance the implementation of P2DBD. The method of implementing P2DBD comes from the Technical Instructions issued by the Ministry of Health. In the process aspect, epidemiological investigations are carried out directly to locations that have confirmed dengue cases. Fogging is carried out at locations and areas around locations where cases are confirmed. Coordination is carried out across sectors in locations such as the RT/RW Village Head. Abate powder distribution and health education were carried out by the Public Health Center together with Jumantik Cadres through the Mosquito Nest Eradication (PSN) program. On the aspect of Output. said to be successful after reaching 100% or has been under control. Reports related to the implementation of P2DBD are provided by the Public Health Center to the Kendari City Health Office.

Abstract

The problem of nutrition is one of the determinants of the quality of human resources. Malnutrition will cause failure of physical growth and development of intelligence, reduce body resistance which results in increased morbidity and mortality. This study aims to determine the toddler's weight before and after the provision of Recovery Food Supplement (PMT-P) in North Buton District. This type of research is descriptive observational using a survey design involving 75 mothers under five in the working area of ​​the North Buton District Health Office selected by purposive sampling. The results showed that the body weight before the Recovery Supplementary Food (PMT-P) was bad (100%), the body weight after the Recovery Supplementary Feeding (PMT-P), there were still 23 respondents in the bad category. The conclusion of the study is that there is an increase in the weight of toddlers with growth under the red line after giving additional food for recovery in North Buton Regency.

Abstract

North Buton Regency in 2019 is one of the districts that has the lowest complete Basic Immunization coverage in Southeast Sulawesi with a percentage of 73.70%. This research was carried out in the work area of ​​the Kulisusu Health Center, North Buton Regency. The analysis used in this study gradually included univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded: There is no relationship between age and complete basic immunization during the COVID-19 pandemic; There is a significant relationship between low education and complete basic immunization during the COVID-19 pandemic; There is a significant relationship between lack of knowledge and complete basic immunization during the COVID-19 pandemic; There is a significant relationship between work and the completeness of basic immunization during the COVID-19 pandemic; There is a significant relationship between non-facility delivery places and complete basic immunization during the COVID-19 pandemic; There is a relationship between non-medical birth attendants and complete basic immunization during the COVID-19 pandemic; There is a significant relationship between the role of health workers who are not good with complete basic immunization during the COVID-19 pandemic; Factors that have a moderate relationship with complete basic immunization during the COVID-19 pandemic
