Abstract

This research consists of two independent variables, the disaster knowledge and environmental culture, and a dependent variable of disaster preparedness behaviour. The objective is to determine the relationship between disaster knowledge and environmental culture with disaster preparedness behaviour, as well as the relationship between both of the together with disaster preparedness behaviour. The study was conducted through 166 students of three senior high schools in the District of West Karawang, West Java, which taken by proportional random sampling. The method of survey was employed in this study and the data analyzed by statistical test of correlation and simple linier regression as well as multiple linear correlation and regression, which was conducted at significance level of α = 0.01 and α = 0.05. Based on the results, it was found that there was a positive and significant relationship between disaster knowledge and disaster preparedness behaviour with a correlation coefficient value of ry1 = 0.22 and a coefficient of determination value of (r2) = 0.049. There is a positive and significant relationship between environmental culture and disaster preparedness behaviour with a correlation coefficient value of ry2 = 0.25 and a coefficient of determination value of (r2) = 0.064. There is a positive and significant relationship between disaster knowledge and environmental culture together with disaster preparedness behaviour with a correlation coefficient value of ry12 = 0.32 and a coefficient of determination value of (r2) = 0.097. Thus, it can be concluded that student’s disaster preparedness behaviour can be improved through either disaster knowledge and environmental culture.Penelitian ini terdiri atas dua variabel bebas, pengetahuan kebencanaan dan budaya lingkungan, serta satu variabel terikat yaitu perilaku siaga bencana. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan kebencanaan, budaya lingkungan dengan perilaku siaga bencana, serta hubungan keduanya secara bersama-sama dengan perilaku siaga bencana. Penelitian dilaksanakan melalui 166 siswa di tiga sekolah menengah atas, Kecamatan Karawang Barat, yang diambil secara proporsional random sampling. Metode survey digunakan dan data dianalisis dengan uji statistik korelasi dan regresi sederhana serta korelasi dan regresi linear ganda, dilakukan pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,01 dan α = 0,05. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara pengetahuan kebencanaan dengan perilaku siaga bencana dengan nilai koefisien korelasi ry1 = 0,22 dan koefisien determinasi (r2) = 0,049. Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara budaya lingkungan dengan perilaku siaga bencana dengan nilai koefisien korelasi ry2 = 0,25dan koefisien determinasi (r2) = 0,064. Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara pengetahuan kebencanaan dan budaya lingkungan secara bersama-sama dengan perilaku siaga bencana, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi ry12 = 0,32 dan koefisien determinasi (r2) = 0,097. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perilaku siaga bencana siswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui pengetahuan kebencanaan dan budaya lingkungan.

Abstract

Research on the Effectiveness of Interpersonal Communication and Work Motivation with Teacher Job Satisfaction aims to examine the relationship between two independent variables, namely the Effectiveness of Interpersonal Communication (X1) and Work Motivation (X2), the dependent variable is Teacher Job Satisfaction (Y). The population of this research is all Private School of Madrasah Aliyah teachers who were civil servants in the district Sukabumi. The samples in this study were drawn from a population of 104 teachers. There is a positive and highly significant relationship between the Effectiveness of Interpersonal Communication and Work Motivation working together with Teacher Job Satisfaction with the regression equation ? = 22,565 + 0,414X1 + 0,359X2.Keywords: Effectiveness of Interpersonal Communication , Work Motivation, Teacher Job Satisfaction

Abstract

The research can be classified into a correlational research consist of two independent variables, namely principals transformational leadership and organizational culture, and a dependent variable, namely teachers work motivation. The research was conducted in the private vocational school at Cibadak Commissariat, Sukabumi District, West Java Province in 2014 with amount of sample 126 taken by proportional random sampling.The research used survey method and data analysis technique used single and multiple linear correlation and regression. Hypothesis testing conducted at the 0.05 significance level. The research has three conclusions namely (1) there is positive and highly significant correlation between principals transformational leadership with teachers work motivation, with correlation coefficient, ryl = 0.744 and regression equation ? = 44.505 + 0.697X1. (2) There is positive and highly significant correlation between organizational culture with teachers work motivation, with correlation coefficient, ry2 = 0.843 and regression equation ? = 25.164 + 0.885X2. (3) There is positive and highly significant correlation between principals transformational leadership and organizational culture simultaneously with teachers work motivation, with correlation coefficient, ry12 = 0.873 and regression equation ? = 15.774 + 0.290X1 + 0.661X2. Based on the conclusions, they have some implications that teachers work motivation can be increased through principals transformational leadership and organizational culture.Keywords : Transformasional Leadership, Organizasional Culture, Work Motivation

Abstract

This research can be classified in a correlational study that consists of two independent variables, namely the Principal Leadership and Organizational Culture and one dependent variable, namely Teacher Job Satisfaction. This study was conducted at five state Senior High Schools at South Tangerang City in 2012 with total sample of 129 people taken with proportional random sampling technique. The method used is survey and data analysis techniques using correlation and regression statistical. The hypothesis testing performed on the significant level of 0.05 and 0,01. The results of the study showed that: First, there is positive and highly significant correlation between principals leadership with teachers job satisfaction with correlation coefficient, ry12 = 0,3329 and regression equation ?= 42,392+0,681X1. Second, there is positive and highly significant correlation between organizational culture with teacher job satisfaction, with correlation coefficient ry22=0,34,5, and regression equation ?=45,739+0,655X2. Third, there is positive and highly significant correlation between principal leadership and organizational culture all together with teacher job satisfaction with correlation coeficient ry.122 = 0,475, and regression equation, ?=24,757+0,468X1+0,305X2. Based on the result above it can be concluded that teachers job satisfaction can be improved through principal's leadership and organizational culture.Keywords : teachers job satisfaction, principal's leadership and organizational culture .

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of motivation on employee performance employee Village Community Empowerment Board Governance Dispenda Bogor and Bogor City. The study population was all employees Dispenda Bogor City with samples are 114 employees and employees of the Agency for Community Empowerment Bogor Regency Village Government with a sample of 121 employees. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Collected data is processed using correlation analysis technique.The results show that: of First, the relationship between work motivation and performance korelasiry.2 coefficient = 0.507 rtabel (rtabel = 0.176 at ? = 0.05 and rtabel = 0.230 at ? = 0.01). Relations were significant for Sig = 0.000 This value is identical to the p-value, where the p-value is smaller than ? (0.05). That is, there is a positive and significant relationship between motivation and employee performance Employees Community Empowerment Board Bogor Regency Village Government.Secondly there is a relationship work motivation and performance of employees, the value of the relationship is 0.673. The direction of the relationship is 'positive' and the degree of relationship 'strong' as the value of the relationship is between the value of the relationship 0.673 from 0.60 to 0.799. Figures probability or Sig. (2-tailed) was 0,000 less than 0.05, which means the relationship work motivation and employee performance employee Revenue Bogor City is 'significant' at a significance level of 0.01 or 0.05 or 99% and 95%.Keywords: Work Motivation and Employee Performance

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the transformational leadership and discipline of work on job satisfaction of employees in the district of East Bogor.The study population was all employees in Bogor subdistrict East by as many as 105 employees and sample as many as 83 employees of people using slovin. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Collected data is processed using correlation analysis technique.The results show that: 1. There is a positive and significant relationship between transformational leadership and job satisfaction with a correlation coefficient (r) between transformational leadership and job satisfaction of 0.658, meaning that value indicates that there is a relationship strong unidirectional linearity. 2. There is a positive relationship between the discipline of working with employee satisfaction being that the correlation coefficient of 0.421.Keywords: Transformational Leadership, Work Discipline and Job Satisfaction

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the relationship between Transformational Leadership, Discipline and Work Motivation to Performance Civil Servants. Samples in this study as many as 153 employees of a total population of 246 employees Satpol-PP Bogor City. The sampling technique used was simple random sample (Simple Random Sampling). Data were analyzed using regression analysis. The results show that: First, the closeness of the relationship between transformational leadership with employee performance obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.592 that is in the category of the relationship is. The magnitude of the coefficient of determination between transformational leadership on employee performance that is equal to 35.1%. Second, the closeness of the relationship between the Discipline Working with employee performance showed the correlation coefficient (r) of 0.614 which is in the category of strong relationships. The magnitude of the coefficient of determination between Discipline Working with employee performance amounted to 40.8%. Third, the closeness of the relationship between work motivation with employee performance correlation coefficient of 0.564 that is in the category of the relationship is. The magnitude of the coefficient of determination between work motivation with employee performance that is equal to 31.9%. Fourth, the closeness of the positive relationship between Transformational Leadership, Discipline and Work Motivation simultaneously with employee performance obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.599 which has the power of the closeness of the relationship was. Abstract

This research aims to find strategies to improve performance by analyzing the influence of organizational culture, servant leadership, personality, and work motivation. The research method used is quantitative. The sample consisted of 124 people from a population of 178 spread across twelve study programs using the proportional random sampling method. Path analysis and SITOREM are used in data analysis methodologies. Based on the analysis’s results, it was concluded that a) Organizational culture directly affects performance by 19.9%; b) Servant leadership directly affects performance by 14.4%; c) Personality directly affects performance by 10.6%; d) Work motivation directly affects performance by 6.9%; e) Organizational culture directly affects motivation at work by 23.1%; f) Servant leadership directly affects workplace motivation by 40.3%; g) Personality does not directly affect workplace motivation by 25.1%; h) Organizational culture has a 1.6% indirect impact on performance through work motivation; i) Servant leadership has a 2.8% indirect impact on performance through work motivation; and j) Personality has a 1.7% indirect impact on performance through work motivation.

Abstract

In the world of education, teachers have a very large and important role in teaching and learning activities because teachers are educators who are directly in contact with students, so teachers are required to have good performance in order to teach students who also have good quality. One of the educational problems faced by the Indonesian nation is the quality of education at every level and education unit, especially elementary and secondary education. Various efforts have been made to improve the quality of education, including through various training and improving teacher qualifications, procuring books and teaching tools, improving facilities and infrastructure, and improving the quality of school management. The research method used in this study is quantitative through path analysis and SITOREM analysis. The results of this study are that there is a positive relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable when viewed from the path analysis, then the relationship is a functional relationship where teacher performance (Y) is formed as a result of the functioning of organizational culture functions (X1), transformational leadership (X2), self-efficacy (X3) work motivation (X4)
