Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan melibatkan satu kelompok atau satu kelas yang dikenal dengan desain Pra Eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh metode Pair Check terhadap kemampuan pemahaman membaca peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 37 Tungka tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Skor rata-rata hasil pretest siswa kelas V adalah 48,3 dengan standar deviasi 16 dimana skor paling rendah yang diperoleh adalah 10 dan skor paling tinggi adalah 70 dari skor ideal 100. Sedangkan, skor rata-rata posttest siswa kelas V adalah 77,5 dengan standar deviasi 22 dimana skor paling rendah adalah 25 dan skor paling tinggi adalah 100 dengan skor ideal 100. Dari hasil tersebut diperoleh bahwa 12 siswa atau 80% telah mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) dan ini berarti ketuntasan secara klasikal tercapai. (2) Rata-rata persentase aktivitas siswa yaitu 80%, dengan kesimpulan aktivitas siswa telah mencapai kriteria aktif, sehingga dapat disimpulkan Metode pembelajaran pair check memberikan pengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemahaman membaca siswa kelas V SDN 37 Tungka Kabupaten Enrekang.

Abstract

Salah satu bidang yang telah dipengaruhi secara signifikan di era pandemi C-19 adalah pendidikan di semua jenjang. Saat ini, banyak akademisi tidak memahami nilai pembelajaran online atau berusaha menjadi dosen online yang lebih baik. Dosen terkadang menemukan kegagalan dalam membuat hubungan antara apa yang kita lakukan di kelas fisik dan apa yang kita lakukan di kelas online. Padahal kelas online akan terus berkembang dari tahun ke tahun. Banyak akademisi tampaknya percaya bahwa mahasiswa harus dapat berjalan sendiri melalui pembelajaran online tanpa perlu bimbingan, itu merupakan suatu bencana. Pengajaran daring yang baik mengharuskan dosen melakukan upaya ekstra untuk membantu mahasiswa bertahan, belajar secara mendalam, dan mengalami transformasi sebagai hasil dari kelas daring. Hal itu membutuhkan kesadaran akan tantangan pendidikan online dan membutuhkan pemikiran yang cermat dan perencanaan yang baik. Makalah ini bertujuan untuk mendorong akademisi untuk berusaha merumuskan bagaimana menjadikan pedagogi online seefektif mungkin di era new normal dengan berusaha menerapkan dan membawa prinsip pembelajaran tatap muka ke kelas online. Semoga makalah ini, mampu membawa semangat kita dari ruang kelas fisik ke ruang kelas online dengan baik. Karakateristik pengajaran yang baik adalah keinginan untuk terus menjadi lebih baik.

Abstract

This class action research aims to improve the learning outcomes of Civics Education of third grade students of SD Negeri 292 Pinrang through the application of the Discovery Learning model assisted by visual media on the material of State Emblems and Their Meanings. The research methodology used a class action research design with two cycles, involving 28 students as research subjects. Data collection techniques used observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation. Data analysis was done descriptively quantitatively by comparing the average value before and after the action. The research instruments were teacher and student activity observation sheets, multiple choice and description test questions, and scoring rubrics. The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II. In the initial condition, learning completeness only reached 42.8% with an average score of 68.5. After the implementation of cycle I, the completeness increased to 67.8% with an average of 75.2. In cycle II, the completeness reached 89.2% with an average of 82.7. Student learning activities also increased from the moderate category to very good. Visual media in the form of pictures, posters, and interactive videos proved effective in helping students understand the meaning and philosophy of the Garuda Pancasila state symbol. The Discovery Learning model facilitates students to discover for themselves important concepts about national identity through a guided investigation and exploration process. The conclusion of the research shows that the application of the Discovery Learning model assisted by visual media can significantly improve students' Civics learning outcomes and create more meaningful and enjoyable learning.

This classroom action research aims to improve student learning outcomes in Pancasila and Civic Education through the implementation of the Active Student Learning Approach in grade V at UPT SDN 262 Pinrang. The research method uses a classroom action research design implemented in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects involved 32 fifth-grade students with data collection techniques through learning outcome tests, student activity observation sheets, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted descriptively both quantitatively and qualitatively to measure the improvement in learning outcomes and student activities during the learning process. The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes from the pre-cycle with an average score of 65.78 increasing to 73.44 in cycle I and reaching 82.19 in cycle II. The percentage of classical completeness also increased from 46.88% in the pre-cycle to 71.88% in cycle I and reached 87.50% in cycle II. Student learning activities showed improvement from the moderately active category to very active. The research conclusion indicates that the implementation of the Active Student Learning Approach is effective in improving learning outcomes and student activities in Civic Education subject in grade V at UPT SDN 262 Pinrang.

Abstract

The increasing complexity of environmental problems requires learning approaches that connect knowledge, literacy skills, and responsible environmental behavior. However, classroom practices often remain focused on cognitive achievement and have not sufficiently linked language learning with students’ real-life ecological actions. This study aimed to examine the integration of ecological literacy in Indonesian language and literature learning to improve students’ literacy skills and promote pro-environmental behavior. The study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design involving 30 fourth-grade students at a resource-limited primary school in Enrekang Regency, Indonesia. Data were collected through reading comprehension tests, essay writing tests, ecoliteracy questionnaires, classroom observations, document analysis, and teacher interviews. The intervention integrated ecological values into reading, writing, and literary activities through Project-Based Learning, Problem-Based Learning, and Experiential Learning. The results showed that students’ reading comprehension increased from 4.80 to 6.87, with a significant improvement based on the Wilcoxon signed-rank test (p < .001; r = 0.92). Students’ essay writing skills also improved from 11.23 to 15.73, with a significant difference based on the paired-sample t-test, t(29) = 18.15, p < .001, dz = 3.31. Classroom observations further indicated increased ecological awareness and participation in school-based environmental practices. These findings suggest that ecoliteracy-based Indonesian language and literature learning can create meaningful, contextual, and action-oriented learning experiences that support both literacy development and pro-environmental behavior.

Abstract

Background. The science of reading emphasizes explicit, systematic, and cumulative early literacy instruction, yet gaps often persist between teachers’ conceptual knowledge and classroom practice, especially in rural schools. Purpose. This study examined teachers’ knowledge alignment with the science of reading, the quality of structured literacy implementation, and the relationship between both constructs. Methods. Using a quantitative correlational design, data were collected from 14 early-grade teachers in two rural public elementary schools in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Teachers completed a science-of-reading-aligned knowledge assessment, and their instruction was observed twice using a structured literacy observation rubric. Descriptive statistics and Pearson correlations were used for analysis. Results. Teachers showed moderate overall knowledge alignment, with strengths in phonics and orthographic knowledge but weaknesses in phonological and phonemic awareness. Classroom observations also indicated moderate structured literacy implementation, marked by relatively strong explicit instruction but weaker integration of reading components and limited instructional responsiveness. A significant positive relationship was found between teacher knowledge alignment and instructional quality, especially for explicitness and systematic sequencing. Conclusion. Teacher knowledge alignment mediates the connection between evidence-based reading theory and classroom practice; therefore, stronger teacher preparation and sustained professional development are essential for improving

Abstract

The gap between academic coursework and publication readiness remains a significant challenge in higher education, where students often produce high-quality research assignments but lack the skills, confidence, and guidance to transform them into publishable manuscripts. This article introduces the Bridging Coursework and Publication model, a constructivist and publication-oriented pedagogical framework designed to guide students from coursework completion to manuscript submission. The model integrates scaffolded writing stages, peer review, publication simulation, reflective portfolios, and digital tool utilization to enhance students’ academic writing competence, publication literacy, and scholarly identity. A pilot implementation with undergraduate students in a research methodology course demonstrated substantial improvements in manuscript preparation, submission rates, and student engagement. The findings suggest that embedding publication-focused scaffolding within coursework can effectively bridge the gap between academic assignments and scholarly dissemination, fostering a culture of research and publication within higher education institutions. The model offers a replicable framework for curriculum designers, instructors, and policymakers aiming to enhance student research productivity and publication readiness.

Abstract

Rendahnya retensi memori dan motivasi belajar siswa kelas rendah sekolah dasar merupakan persoalan yang belum terselesaikan secara menyeluruh, khususnya di wilayah yang memiliki kekayaan kearifan lokal namun belum mengoptimalkannya sebagai basis media pembelajaran formal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas media lagu anak berbasis kearifan lokal Enrekang dalam meningkatkan retensi memori dan motivasi belajar siswa Kelas I SD Negeri 79 Gura Kabupaten Enrekang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental (one group pretest-posttest design) pada 20 siswa. Validasi instrumen menunjukkan seluruh butir memperoleh nilai CVR = 1,00 dengan koefisien reliabilitas Cronbach’s Alpha α = 0,84 (retensi memori) dan α = 0,87 (motivasi belajar). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan: (1) retensi memori meningkat signifikan dari rata-rata pretest 10,55 menjadi posttest 20,00 dengan nilai N-Gain = 0,71 (kategori Tinggi); (2) motivasi belajar meningkat dari rata-rata pretest 47,95 menjadi posttest 67,40 dengan N-Gain = 0,60 (kategori Sedang). Uji paired sample T-Test menghasilkan nilai t = 18,73 (p = 0,000) untuk retensi memori dan t = 14,58 (p = 0,000) untuk motivasi belajar, sehingga H₀ ditolak pada kedua variabel. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa media lagu anak berbasis kearifan lokal Enrekang efektif secara statistik dalam meningkatkan retensi memori dan motivasi belajar siswa.
