Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to examine the effect of the Means Ends Analysis model assisted by audio-visual media on the mathematical problem solving ability of class V SD Negeri 012 Gading Sari, Tapung District. This type of research is quantitative with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The experimental class is class VA and the control class is class VB at SD Negeri 012 Gading Sari. Collecting research data using observation, tests and documentation. The results showed that the mathematical problem solving ability with the Means Ends Analysis (MEA) model assisted by audio-visual media is higher than the ability to solve mathematical problems with conventional models. This can be seen from the results of the t-test with a significance level of 5%, the value of sig (2-tailed) (0.000) < (0.05). This shows that the effect of the Means Ends Analysis (MEA) model audio-visual media assisted is better than conventional models, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the model Means Ends Analysis assisted by audio-visual media. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan membaca siswa di kelas I SDN 009 Pulau Jambu Kecamatan Kuok Kabupaten Kampar. Salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi masalah ini adalah dengan menggunakan metode structural analitik sintetik (SAS). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa dengan menggunakan metode structural analitik sintetik (SAS) pada siswa kelas I SDN 009 Pulau Jambu. Metode penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan dan empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini siswa kelas I SDN 009 Pulau jambu yang berjumlah 20 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan berupa observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan membaca permulaan kelas I SDN 009 Pulau Jambu pada siklus I siswa yang tuntas 12 siswa atau 60%, dan pada siklus II siswa yang tuntas secara keseluruhan adalah 17 siswa atau 85%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan metode structural analitik sintetik (SAS) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan kelas I SDN 009 Pulau Jambu.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low initial reading skills of students. One of the efforts offered to improve students' initial reading skills is to use Pop up book learning media facilities. This study aims to determine the effect of Pop up book- based learning media on the initial reading skills of students in class 1 Salafiyah Ula Ibnu Jarir. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The data collection techniques for this study were in the form of observation, tests, and documentation. The experimental class was class 1 Banat and the control class was class 1 Banin Salafiyah Ula Ibnu Jarir. The data analysis technique to test the hypothesis used the t-test formula which was preceded by a normality test and homogeneity of variance. The results of this study indicate that the ability to read beginning using Pop up book media is higher than the ability to read beginning using the conventional model. With the results of the t-test at a significance level of 5%, the sig value (2-tailed) (0.00) <a (0.05) was obtained. This shows that the influence of interactive media based on pop-up books is more effective than conventional learning models. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of pop-up book-based learning media on the initial reading ability of grade 1 Salafiyah Ula Ibnu Jarir students.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the snowball throwing learning model assisted by audio-visual media on improving the reading comprehension skills of fourth grade elementary school students. This research is classified as quasi-experimental research with samples taken using a purposive sampling technique. The research sample was students of class IVA and IVB at UPT SD Negri 035 Indrapuri. The instrument of this research is a test question. Statistical analysis was carried out using the Normality test, Homogeneity test, Independent Sample t-test. Based on the research results, data obtained with a value of tcount = 13.205 and ttable = 2.093 so that H1 can be accepted because the value of tcount > ttable. This shows that the reading comprehension skills for class IV elementary school with the snowball throwing model assisted by audio-visual media are higher than with the conventional learning model and it can be concluded that there is an influence of the snowball throwing model assisted with audio-visual media on improving reading comprehension skills for class IV elementary school.

Abstract

The study investigates the application of the Circle and Quick on the Draw learning model in IPAS (Science, Social Studies, and Arts) lessons. The primary objective is to enhance students' collaboration skills within this subject this research is a classroom action research conducted in Class V at SD Negeri 010 Ratu Sima Dumai. This model is a group work model that emphasizes speed in activities such as thinking, reading, speaking, writing, and answeringquestions It aims to encourage active learning by having students work together to find, answer, and report information from various sources in agame-likesetting. Student collaboration is crucial as it involves working together to achieve common goals, respecting differing opinions, and fostering mutualsupport. It helps students develop social skills, manage conflicts constructively, and prepare for future professional life. ndicators of collaboration include communication, contribution within the group, respecting individual differences, encouraging participation, and completing tasks on time. Based on pre-action data, the collaboration skills of students in Class V at SD Negeri 010 Ratu Sima Dumai were low, with only 33.33% of students achieving the mastery criterion. Following the implementation of the Circle and Quick on the Draw model through two action cycles, a significant improvement in student collaboration skills was observed. In Cycle I, Meeting I, the percentage of students who achieved mastery in collaboration was 37.5%, increasing to 37.5% in Cycle I, Meeting II, 66.67% in Cycle II, Meeting I, and reaching 83.33% in Cycle II, Meeting II. This improvement indicates that the Circle and Quick on the Draw learning model is effective in enhancing student collaboration skills, successfully meeting the classical mastery target of 80%. concludes that the use of the Circle and Quick on the Draw learning model effectively improved student collaboration skills in IPAS lessons in Class V at SD Negeri 010 Ratu Sima Dumai.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low critical thinking skills of students in grade III of UPT SDN 019 Muara Uwai. The failure to achieve critical thinking indicators can be seen from the tendency of students to be passive, difficulty in expressing opinions, and inability to analyze and solve problems logically. This study aims to improve the critical thinking skills of grade III students of UPT SDN 019 Muara Uwai through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by audio-visual media. This study uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach which is carried out in two cycles, with stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 25 students. Data collection instruments include observation sheets, critical thinking ability tests, and documentation. The results of this study can be concluded that students' critical thinking skills have increased in each cycle, as indicated by an increase in the percentage of students in cycle I meeting I reaching (44%), meeting II increasing to (52%), while in cycle II meeting I (76%) and meeting II increasing to (84%). Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the PBL model assisted by audio-visual media can improve students' critical thinking skills on the material of my school rules in class II of UPT SDN 019 Muara Uwai.
