Abstract

Abstract This study explores the use of Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) of the cooperative learning model to improve students' learning outcomes on the shahada sentence material in primary education. The study was conducted at SD Negeri 58 Ulo in Bone Regency using a quantitative approach using Class Action Research (CAR) and involved 15 grade 1 students. Data were collected through observation and learning outcome tests. The findings indicated that the application of the STAD cooperative learning model improved learning outcomes on the shahada sentence material. This research highlighted the importance of effective teaching methods in Islamic education at the primary school level. The results contribute to the development of more beneficial approaches in the field of primary education.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and synthesize various literature related to education policy and education personnel in Indonesia through a systematic literature review approach. The focus of the study covers three main aspects: (1) implementation of national education policies, (2) development of the competence of education personnel, and (3) effectiveness of policies in improving the quality of education. The research method uses a systematic literature review by analyzing scientific articles, policy documents and research results published in the 2018-2023 period. A literature search was carried out through the Google Scholar, SINTA and Garuda Portal databases using relevant keywords. Of the total of 150 articles identified, 50 articles that met the inclusion criteria were analyzed in depth. The research results show several important findings: First, there is a gap between the formulation and implementation of education policies in the field. Second, developing the competence of educational staff still faces various structural and technical challenges. Third, the effectiveness of education policies is strongly influenced by leadership factors, organizational culture and stakeholder support. This research provides recommendations for improving education policies and developing education personnel in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan manajemen tenaga pendidik dalam membentuk karakter religius di Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu Wahdah Islamiyah Kab. Gowa yang mencakup aspek perencanaan, rekrutmen, seleksi, penempatan, pembinaan, dan evaluasi. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dari informan utama yaitu kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum, guru agama, dan guru program keagamaan, lalu dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan manajemen tenaga pendidik berjalan cukup baik, didukung oleh seleksi berbasis kompetensi akademik dan religiusitas, penempatan sesuai bidang keahlian, serta program pembinaan dan evaluasi yang dilakukan secara rutin. Namun, pelaksanaan masih menghadapi kendala berupa tingginya beban kerja guru, ketidaksesuaian latar belakang pendidikan dengan mata pelajaran yang diampu, serta kurangnya komunikasi antara guru dan orang tua. Implikasi penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pembentukan karakter religius dapat dicapai melalui penguatan pembinaan berkelanjutan, evaluasi sistematis, penempatan yang tepat, serta kolaborasi intensif antara pihak sekolah dan orang tua, sehingga hasilnya dapat menjadi rujukan praktis bagi lembaga pendidikan Islam lainnya.

Abstract

This study discusses the management of strengthening students’ character at Madrasah Tsanawiyah of Pondok Pesantren Modern Tarbiyah Takalar. The study aims to analyze management planning and character-strengthening programs, the factors influencing their success, and the impacts of their implementation. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, with data sources including the principal, vice principal, teachers, and dormitory supervisors. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results show that character-strengthening management planning is implemented in a structured, systematic, and sustainable manner by involving all school stakeholders and is realized through three flagship programs, namely Tahfiz, Language, and Dai-daiyah. Program implementation is carried out through daily, weekly, monthly, and annual activities, such as Qur’an memorization, language practice and tests, competitions, and da’wah activities, which aim to instill the values of discipline, responsibility, religiosity, self-confidence, leadership, politeness, and noble character. The success of the programs is influenced by the exemplary behavior of teachers and mentors, consistency in habituation methods, comprehensive supervision, and the dormitory environment as the main medium for character formation. The character-strengthening programs have a positive impact on students’ attitudes and behavior, as indicated by improvements in discipline, responsibility, ethics, obedience in worship, emotional control, and cooperation. In the long term, these programs are expected to produce students with integrity, independence, and strong moral foundations. These findings indicate that pesantren-based character-strengthening management can serve as an effective alternative model for building students’ character in a sustainable manner.
