Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of variations of coconut shell charcoal and bamboo charcoal on briquette characteristics, thus obtained optimum composition that produces briquette with the best characteristic. This research is a laboratory experimentation study, with free variables being charcoal compositions, and bound variables are characteristic briquettes consisting of: Heat value, moisture content, and ignition length. The results showed that variations in the composition of briquette from coconut charcoal and bamboo charcoal influenced briquette characteristics, moisture value, moisture content, and the length of time of ignition. The highest heat value is obtained on the composition of 10% of bamboo charcoal and 90% of coconut shell Charcoal is 7110.73 cal/G with a water content of 4.82% and the length of time of 150.45 minutes.

Abstract

The research on corrosion rate analysis of concrete iron with swampsoil medium has been conducted. The aims of this study were to determine thecorrosion rate and the types of corrosion that occurred in concrete iron withswamp soil medium. The methods of this study are Weight Loss method, AtomicAbsorption Spectroscopy (AAS) test, and Scanning Electron Microscope-EnergyDispersion X-Ray (SEM-EDX). This study used a different immersion timevariant, such as 20 days, 40 days, 65 days, and without medium for 65 days. Theconcrete iron used in this study is concrete U-24 or plain concrete iron 10. Thecorrosion rate that occurs in iron concrete with swamp soil medium at 20 daysimmersion is 20977.5868 mmpy, 40 days immersion is 17721.9174 mmpy, 65days immersion is 16932. 9071 and 65 days without a medium are 3023.3793mmpy. The more time, the rate of corrosion become more slowly due to theinfluence of corrosion products that have occurred. The corrosion rate without themedium is slower than the corrosion rate with the medium. The types of corrosionthat occurs in concrete iron with swamp soil medium are crevice corrosion andpitting corrosion.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare the corrosion rate of concrete nails with the medium of PDAM water and AC wastewater. The method used is the weight loss method. Immersion of the sample is carried out for 30 days and measurements are carried out and corrosion rate analysis is carried out every 10 days. Nail corrosion rate with PDAM water medium was obtained at 4.06 × 10-7 mm / year, while the corrosion rate of nails with AC wastewater medium based on variations in PK size and temperature size regulation on each AC obtained the largest corrosion rate on AC PK 1 ½ with a temperature of 18oC 4 × 10-7 mm / year, a temperature of 190C 2.66 × 10-7 mm / year, 20oC, 5.77 × 10-7 mm / year and a temperature of 21oC, 5.88 × 10-7 mm / year. AC PK 2 with a temperature of 19oC, 5.26 × 10-7 mm / year, a temperature of 20oC, 7.97 × 10-7 mm / year, a temperature of 21oC, 4.95 × 10-7 mm / year and a temperature of 22oC 3.49 × 10 -7 mm / year. For AC PK 1 with a temperature of 20oC, 3.77 × 10-7 mm / year, a temperature of 21oC 5.74 × 10-7 mm / year, a temperature of 22 oC, 8.11 × 10-7 mm / year and a temperature of 23oC 8.96 × 10-7 mm / year.

Abstract

Has conducted research entitled "Quality Testing Materials Aluminum Pots Compiler Based on corrosion rate". This study aims to determine the type of material and type of constituent aluminum pan aluminum pot that has good quality based on the corrosion rate. In the community known as rust corrosion. All metal objects both ferrous on ferrous maupucan experience corrosion. Basically, the test can be performed simulative corrosion the laboratory or directly in the field. The solution is used to accelerate the corrosion rate in this study are HCl, HNO3, and NaCl. In testing the corrosion rate used methods of mass reduction, and material composition testing pans were observed by using XRF (X_Ray Florescence). From the test results it is known that the corrosion rate have Java pan corrosion rate faster than the pot Orchid and Eagle brands. While the observation of the authors of each aluminum pan on the market is almost the same, its components such as Al, Fe, Ag, Ga, Nb, Mn, Ni, V, and Hf.

Abstract

Research about Study of Determination Calorie Value in Durian Fruit (Durio zibethinus) has done. This study aims to determine the calorie value of all the materials used. The materials used are durian fruit. Materials will be determined calorie performed on ripe fruit or fresh fruit and fruit that have been dried under the sunlight. Determination of calorie value using two methods: the first method: determination of calorie value by Cobra3 and method II: determination of the calorie value by joule calorimeter. The higher specific heat and heat capacity accordingly calorie value would be even higher.

Abstract

Bioplastik merupakan alternatif pengganti plastik komersial yang dapat merusak lingkungan. Bioplastik dibuat untuk mempermudah degradasi. Salah satu bahan yang potensial adalah ubi ungu karena memiliki komponen pati yang paling tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari kualitas film bioplastik dari pati ubi ungu (Dioscorea alata) dengan dan tanpa penambahan kitosan, dan gliserol sebagai plasticizer terhadap sifat mekanik (uji kuat tarik, elongasi dan ketahanan air). Hasil yang diperoleh dengan variasi kitosan 0% dan 3%, nilai kuat tarik terbesar diperoleh dengan konsentrasi kitosan 0% (tanpa penambahan kitosan) sebesar 1,5369 MPa, nilai persentase elongasi pada kitosan 3% yaitu 14,50 % dan nilai ketahanan air maksimum pada konsentrasi kitosan 0% yaitu 91,57%. Dimana hasil yang diperoleh mendekati standar yang ada.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of fiber size of the sound absorption coefficient of acoustic material of banana. In this study, the size of the fiber used is 10 mesh, 20 mesh, and 40 mesh wi th a board thickness of 1cm. The value of the frequency used is 125 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 1000 Hz, and 2000 Hz. The result showed that the smaller the size of the fiber, the more high sound absorption coefficient is generated. Good sound absorption coefficient is the mesh size of 40 with a frequency of 125 Hz at a thickness of 1 cm is equal to 0.255. This suggests that the acoustic boards made of banana can be used as a silencer because it meets the ISO 11654 standard.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of thickness variations on the sound absorption coefficient of acoustic material from corn stalks. The study was conducted by making acoustic board samples from corn stems with Polyester Resin adhesive. In this study the thickness of the acoustic boards used were 0.7 cm, 1 cm, and 1.5 cm. The amount of frequency used is 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 1000 Hz, 2000 Hz. Based on the results of the research, the absorption coefficient value is proportional to the thickness, where the greater the thickness of a material, the lower the coefficient value produced. In the thickest sample with a thickness of 1.5 cm for a frequency of 250 Hz, the absorption coefficient value is 0.177, while at the frequency of 2000 Hz the absorption coefficient value is 0.084.

Abstract

The use of quadrotors in various applications has made development and research in the field of drones grow rapidly. In the research and development process, a testing phase is needed to determine the flying attitude of the quadrotor. Live testing can be risky if something goes wrong. With Hardware in The Loop Simulation, it can be used as a way to minimize the occurrence of these errors. Hardware in The Loop Simulation is a combination of software and hardware simulation. The jMAVSim simulation software is connected to the Pixhawk autopilot and ground control station. The simulation results that have been obtained make it possible to carry out direct testing on the Pixhawk autopilot. From this study, the results of the quadrotor flying attitude during take-off and landing simulations show that the quadrotor is still in a stable condition with changes in pitch and roll angles of less than 1 degree.

Abstract

The research of the Saddang fault pattern based on the level of seismicity and focal mechanism (a case study in January 2010- July 2020) aims to determine the level of seismicity in the Saddang fault area and the Saddang fault focal mechanism in the 2010-2020 earthquake. The data which were used were secondary data from the BMKG catalog from January 2010 - July 2020. The coordinating limit is 118.50 ° East Longitude 120.60 ° East Longitude and (-2.60 ° South Latitude) - (-5.70 ° South Latitude) there were 1425 earthquakes. This research used ArcGis application to measure seismicity distribution map and seiscomp3 to measure focal mechanism. Furthermore, the focal mechanism divides the region into three regions. The results which obtained from the seismicity map obtained a high level of seismicity with a shallow depth. Which was caused by the lack of factors from the active Saddang fault and Sulawesi who had four plate junctions. The results of the focal mechanism in each region had the whole type of shear fault or horizontal. Keywords: Earthquake, geology software ArcGis, software seisco
