Abstract

Various studies have analyzed that micro and small industries (IMK) play a strategic role in the economy, grow, and have various weaknesses that cause them to become targets of crime, but have not analyzed the crime level that threatens IMK's performance. The purpose of this research is to study the crime level, crime that threatens IMK, and IMK’s performance threatened by crime. The research method is panel data regression equation modeling of the crime extended IMK Cobb-Douglas production function. The variables are total production, value added, total production per worker, value added per worker, number of companies, number of workers, inputs, and expenditures for workers. The criminality variables are the amount of crime and the risk of the population becoming victims of crime. The data used are IMK and criminality data for all provinces in Indonesia from 2017 to 2020. The result shows that all models depict IMK as threatened with low-level crime because only the crime’s number affects the IMK’s performance. The IMK’s performance threatened by crime is the value added per worker. Based on these results, it is recommended to prevent the crime level increasing by reducing the number of crimes, increasing value added and productivity of IMK.Keywords: micro and small Industries, production function, crime levelAbstrakBerbagai penelitian telah menganalisis bahwa industri mikro dan kecil (IMK) berperan strategis dalam perekonomian, berkembang, dan memiliki berbagai kelemahan yang menyebabkan menjadi sasaran kriminalitas, namun belum menganalisis tingkat kriminalitas yang mengancam kinerja IMK.

Abstract

Poverty is a condition when a person cannot fulfill their basic needs or live a decent life. Poverty basically arises due to many factors such as difficulty finding work, limited capital, low quality of education and other factors. This research aims to study how the GRDP rate, unemployment rate, and human development index affect the poverty rate of 10 cities/districts in West Nusa Tenggara in the period 2017-2022. Secondary data is used in this technique and uses panel data regression to analyze the data. The model selection test results show that the Fixed Effect Model is the best. According to the partial significance test results, the human development index affects the poverty rate at alpha α (0.05). The coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.994, which means that the simultaneous contribution of the independent variable to the dependent variable is 99.4 percent. Other additional variables not included in the model affect the remaining part.

Abstract

The main issues of this research are the determinants and impact of the government capital funding on mixed-use bus station. These issues raise research objectives about the definition of mixed-use bus station, the determinants of government capital funding on bus station, and its impact to bus station production. To achieve the objectives, two methods are employed. The first is the description method that applies Cartesian Diagram to define mixed-use bus station. The second is the association methods that applies the government capital funding determinants and impact econometric models. The variables for the first method are passengers and buses arrived at and departed from monitored bus station during 2023 Eid Al-Fitr holidays, while the variables for the second method are government capital funding on bus station, bus station production, bus station usage partnership, type of bus station, and local economy. The results show that twenty-four bus stations are mixed-use bus station, the determinants of government capital funding are mixed-use type and bus station usage partnership, and the impact of government capital funding is bus station production that is suffered by local economy.

Abstract

Muslims conduct more and harder worship during Ramadan than non-Ramadan. Studies show positive effects indicating Ramadan hard worship as rational. However, no studies discuss Ramadan worship based on the rational choice approach although this approach can reveal what, why, and how a decision is rational. Based on the rational choice approach, this study aims to demonstrate graphically Ramadan worship and general activity combination, relative price, constraint, and equilibrium. This paper employs the rational choice graphical modelling that consists of the Ramadan worship indifference curve graphing, relative price setting, constraint line graphing, and equilibrium graphing. Four results are found. Firstly, the worship indifference curves reveal that worship perfectly complements to general activity. Secondly, the worship relative price decreases from non-Ramadan to Ramadan. Thirdly, the worship constraint lines rotate up caused by decreasing worship relative price. Fourthly, the Ramadan equilibrium demonstrates that Muslim is satisfied by a relative price-decreasing-caused Ramadan hard worship that exploits physical capability but without general activity interfering

Abstract

This study focuses on understanding the influence of financial ratios such as current ratio, capital structure (DER), and Firm Size on the stock prices of consumer goods industry companies from 2015 to 2022. Additionally, the stock prices of these companies will be correlated with inflation. The independent variables in this study include current ratio, capital structure (DER), and Firm Size, while the variables correlated with inflation and the dependent variable are the Stock Prices. The sampling method employed is purposive sampling, gathering a sample of 100 instances from 40 companies. The methodology used involves panel data regression utilizing the Random Effect model. The analysis results indicates that the independent variable Current Ratio significantly affects Stock Prices. However, variables like Capital Structure (DER) and Firm Size do not exhibit a significant influence on Stock Prices. Furthermore, Inflation has a significant negative impact on Stock Prices.

Abstract

Following the government's commitment in the state asset utilization, Indonesian bus stations management develops their commercial assets as a public activity center and a non-tax contributor. The problem is the bus station commercial asset management knowledge and skill should be improved through a specific training. The analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) approach for the bus station commercial asset management training is essential. The training improves bus station commercial asset management knowledge ans skills by hierarchical expertise and suitable selection. Conducted in the Tirtonadi bus Station located in Indonesian Surakarta city, three stages run the AHP training: Bus station commercial asset management hierarchical expertise and proper selection development, AHP software simulation, and AHP-based test. To create training attractiveness, two treatments are imposed: Asset utilization combination and group division. The training successfully improves bus station commercial asset management knowledge and skill on the hierarchical expertise and suitable selection. In addition, the training raises the bus station management's intention to analyze in general the bus station commercial asset management, readiness to organize the bus station commercial asset management training based on the AHP method, and readiness to become the bus station research key respondent based on the AHP method.

Abstract

The institutional capacity is a part of the institutional economics. There are two standards of the institutional capacity. The first standard is the optimality capacity of micro, mezzo, and macro levels. The second standard is the criteria of expertise, specificity, and incentives. However, analysis on the concept of institutional capacity is limited. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the application of the institutional capacity in Surakarta city local government and to obtain empirical facts of the optimal capacity of micro, mezzo and macro levels and its correlation with the institutional criteria. Descriptive method was applied to measure the capacity optimization in the micro, mezzo, and macro levels and to describe its correlation with the institutional criteria, namely expertise, specificity, and incentives. To examine the level of the capacity optimization, the percentage of the expected and prevailed was analyzed, whereas the dynamics of each criterion since 2005 to 2011 was analyzed to illustrate the correlation with the institutional criteria. The study indicated the overall capacity of Surakarta city government has not been optimal, due to their suboptimal mezzo and macro levels capacity. In addition, the capacity of micro, mezzo and macro level of Surakarta government turns to have correlation with the institutional criteria. The micro level correlates with the expertisecriterion, the mezzo level with the specificity in authority and incentives criteria, andthe macro level with the specificity in responsiveness criteria.
