Abstract

This study aims to obtain aesthetic data on five tote bag products with slashing technique decoration applications which include three aspects of assessment, namely the form or form aspect which includes the application of design elements and design principles, the weight or content aspect which includes the delivery of ideas or ideas, and the appearance or presentation aspect which includes the application of means or media. The research method uses quantitative with a pre-experimental design of one shot case study type. The data collection technique used a mixed questionnaire. The instrument in this study consisted of 18 statements with a rating scale measurement scale distributed to 5 expert panelists in their fields. The results of the research on the aesthetics of slashing techniques on tote bag products obtained an overall score of 91.4 which is included in the very good category. The aesthetic aspect that gets the highest score is the appearance or presentation aspect with a score of 93.3 which is included in the very good category. While the product that received the highest score was product 2 with a score of 92.2% which is included in the very good category. This shows that the aesthetic aspects of form or appearance, weight or content, and appearance or presentation in accordance with A.A.M Djelantik's aesthetic theory are very good in their application to tote bag products with slashing techniques.

Abstract

The fashion industry requires Technopreneur fashion design to face the challenges of the technology and digitalization era in preparation for the 5.0 industrial age. Entrepreneurship dimensions, namely autonomy, innovativeness, risk-taking, proactive, and technology proficiency, are confident insufficient for Technopreneur ship due to their limited resources and lack of knowledge and access to foreign Technopreneur ship in fashion design. This study identifies and reviews the literature on Technopreneur ship orientation fashion education in Scopus between 2010 and 2025. This study identifies and reviews literature on technopreneurs’ orientation from scientific domains: entrepreneurial dimensions and entrepreneur-based technology drivers in fashion design. A systematic approach was adopted, recognizing 25 relevant articles from published journals indexed by Scopus collected from 2010 to 2025. The lack of literature on the technopreneur dimension has resulted in 10 dominant and representative articles originating from Scopus indexed journals and other related journals indexed by Google Scholar collected from 2002-2025. This study consists of two essential parts: 1) descriptive analysis, discussing the characteristics of the related articles, the country of the study, and the methods used. 2) thematic analysis, discussing the six essential categories of drivers in the adoption of technopreneurship and more deeply. The results regarding creating future ideas mean the same as autonomy, business innovation is innovation in the entrepreneurial dimension, seeking opportunities means being proactive, creating new businesses means the same as risk-taking, and technological proficiency are common expressions from several literatures regarding views on technopreneurship itself that do not originate from the entrepreneurial orientation that exists in the previous literature. This study proposes a conceptual framework of technopreneur orientation in fashion design education to develop a sustainable fashion design curriculum in the future.

Abstract

This article describes the development and validation of the sustainable fashion design curriculum through technopreneur orientation. This quantitative 98-item scale measures Indonesian university fashion design students'(80) toward sustainable fashion design curriculum. The validity and reliability of the scale was statistically tested by calculating the Corrected Item-Total Correlation, Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin Measure of Sampling Adequacy (KMO MSA) via an Exploratory Factor Analysis, descriptive statistics, Cronbach's Alpha, and a con?rmatory factor analysis. The results of the principal component factor analysis indicate that the scale consists of the following four dimensions: entrepreneurial orientation, technopreneur orientation, fashion sustainability and sustainable fashion design curriculum. The reliability test evaluated the ninety-eight (98) items in the study that were divided into five (4) constructs Entrepreneur Orientation (EO), Technopreneur Orientation (TO), Fashion Sustainability (FS), and Sustainable Fashion Design Curriculum (SFDC). The measurement of the scale are con?rmed by the CFA. Internal reliability was found using the total item correlation value corrected for all items 0.3, Cronbach's Alpha values are more significant than 0.6 and KMO MSA value above 0.5. Cronbach's Alpha coefficients for all constructs showed excellent reliability, with Technopreneur Orientation (TO) having the highest at 0.775 and the lowest at 0.832. Technopreneur Orientation (TO) had the most significant score of 0.832, while Sustainable Fashion Design Curriculum (SFDC) had the lowest score of 0.775. The findings revealed that all 98 items in the four (4) constructs had a considerable internal disagreement. As a result of the pilot investigation, the items in this study's questionnaires were well-founded in previous literature and highly trustworthy and appropriate for study inferences. The results confirm the reliability and validity of the faces of the adapted instrument in the pilot study.
