Abstract

Good parenting is one of the basic needs of children, therefore parents are obliged to provide appropriate parenting styles for children suitable for the era, so that in the end, parents could form children’s characters with good attitude and intelligence that was honed fully. Based on this, the researcher tried to develop modules that could help parents developing good parenting styles. To answer these problems, researchers used research and development methods. This research produced a product in the form of a module entitled "My Great Child". Based on the results of the pretest and posttest data analysis conducted by researchers using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, there was zero negative rank data, there were 10 positive rank data, with no equal value before and after giving Islamic parenting material based on various intelligence. These results show that the average parenting style increase after the use of multiple intelligence-based Islamic parenting modules.

Abstract

Guidance for the elderly is an important aspect in caring for individual welfare and development in old age. Guidance aims to help seniors understand themselves, improve their quality of life, and overcome challenges they may face at this stage of life. Understanding that prayer is an obligation in Islam is very important, and many elderly people face difficulties or challenges in observing it. One of the conditions for valid prayer is ablution, whereas most elderly people neglect prayer because they are prevented from performing ablution due to their physical condition, such as having a stroke, not being able to maintain ablution easily, and having sore limbs when acting. In order for prayers to continue to be carried out, for elderly people who have difficulty performing ablution, they can use tayamum as a substitute for ablution to perform the prayer service. This research focuses on the stages of tayamum applied to the elderly. The research method used in this research is qualitative, with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The research subjects were elderly Muslims who lived in the Hargo Dedali nursing home in Surabaya. The results of this research show that there are elderly people who can carry out the stages of tayamum correctly, but there are elderly people who cannot do it because they are senile and forgetful and because they are physically unable to do so. Islamic guidance through tayamum activities has significant harmony in supporting the spiritual development of the elderly.

Abstract

This research aims to deepen the concept of honesty as the main foundation of Islamic counseling based on the Hadith narrated in Sunan Darimi, index number 2599. The Hadith narrated in Sunan Darimi, index number 2599, was chosen as the focus of this research because it contains elements related to honesty. This research uses qualitative research methods involving in-depth analysis of hadiths with a literature study approach and contextual understanding. The literature review focuses on the Sunan Darimi book and related literature from Google Scholar and Scopus. The research results indicate that honesty is not only an important value in daily life but also a fundamental basis in Islamic counseling that can build trust and enhance the effectiveness of counseling. These findings provide a solid foundation for Islamic counselors to conduct counseling practices with strong ethics, create an open environment, and integrate Islamic values in guiding individuals towards spiritual and psychological well-being. An honest counselor reflects Islamic integrity, in accordance with Hadith teachings that emphasize honesty as an important foundation.

Abstract

The Premarital Course Program (Suscatin) is a strategic government initiative aimed at preparing young couples for a mature and responsible marriage life. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Suscatin program after the Covid-19 pandemic at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) in Ujungpangkah District, Gresik Regency, using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. A descriptive qualitative method was applied, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that contextually the program aligns with community needs and government regulations. However, in its implementation, the program faces several challenges, including insufficient duration (only 4 hours, below the national standard), limited use of interactive teaching methods, and the absence of formal evaluation and follow-up mechanisms. The program also lacks deep integration of Islamic spiritual values. Nevertheless, Suscatin has improved participants’ basic knowledge of marital rights and responsibilities, reproductive health, and family psychology. This study recommends extending the program duration, enhancing interactive methods, conducting regular evaluations, and integrating Islamic values to optimize the program’s role in fostering sakinah, mawaddah, wa rahmah families.

Abstract

The phenomenon of bullying among adolescents is a social issue with serious implications for psychological, social, and emotional development, thus requiring appropriate and contextually relevant interventions. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of muhasabah therapy as a counseling approach to reduce bullying behavior among adolescents in Klakahrejo Village, Surabaya. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed, involving observation and in-depth interviews with individuals identified as perpetrators of bullying. Muhasabah therapy was implemented through a systematic process comprising problem identification, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, and evaluation. The therapeutic process focused on six main steps: goal setting (musyarathah), self-control (muraqabah), self-reflection (muhasabah), self-sanctioning (mu’aqobah), commitment to change (mujahadah), and desire management (mu’atabah). The findings indicate positive changes, including a decrease in verbal bullying behavior, enhanced self-reflection abilities, and improved peer relationships. These results suggest that muhasabah therapy is effective in helping adolescents manage negative behaviors, enhance spiritual awareness, and strengthen social responsibility. In conclusion, muhasabah therapy holds potential as a practical alternative strategy in Islamic counseling for addressing bullying behavior among adolescents.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve digital literacy among teachers and education staff at MTs and MA Salafiyah Kerek Tuban, who face challenges in online learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The main problem identified is the low quality of online learning, characterized by minimal student interaction, teachers’ difficulty adapting to technology, and a decline in students' learning interest. To address this, the implementation utilized the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, actively involving partners in planning, executing, and evaluating the program. Activities included training on digital literacy concepts, creating digital learning media, practicing the use of digital tools, preparing modules, and disseminating program results. The outcomes of this community service indicated significant improvements in two aspects: behavior and learning patterns. Behavioral changes were marked by an increase in students' interest in online learning, while changes in learning patterns were evidenced by teachers’ adoption of digital media, such as interactive presentations and videos, replacing conventional methods that relied solely on textbooks and homework. In conclusion, this training successfully enhanced digital literacy and the effectiveness of online learning at MTs and MA Salafiyah Kerek Tuban.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how the implementation of guidance and counseling at Islamic boarding schools, whether within formal education or outside of it, The study about it was part of a systematic literature review. Studiesprimary in this study were obtained from websites with the provisions of articles using Guidance and Counseling, Islamic Boarding Schools, published on range year 2014-2020, written by Indonesian and English, as well as the title or abstract in accordance with the research objectives. The results from the primary studies used in this research show that the implementation of guidance and counseling at Islamic boarding schools has been carried out in different ways at each school. Implementation and Guidance Counseling at Islamic Boarding Schools, which implement two curricula at once, namely formal education and non-formal, could be used side by side with the Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling program.
