Abstract

Language is the gate of knowledge, without it, the humans will not be able to communicate with other people and will not be able to exchange ideas with others, because language is a communication mechanism between them to achieve their goals. Arabic is rich in legitimate vocabulary related to religion, so there are several vocabularies or words that cannot be understood only by knowing the meaning of language, so Arabic students must know the meaning of terminology words, because the terminology words include sentences that are rarely used in conversation, so the students get difficulty in using it in daily conversation, because the terminology words are included in the intellectual sentence. The purpose of this study is to make it easier for learners of Arabic to know the terms in the book of Minhatu al 'Allam (fourth vol.) and help them choose vocabulary when speaking, writing, reading and listening. The study uses descriptive analysis methods, namely by tracing the terms in this book. This research proves the existence of the term sentence in the book of Minhatu al 'Allam (fourth vol.). The term sentence reaches 53 words. This study also formulated effective ways to enrich the language of the STIBA Ar Raayah students, namely by making a term sentence table by explaining each term etymologically and terminologically, and presenting it in the form of daily conversation and writing.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of the active learning method in strengthening Islamic values within Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMA PGRI Padang Cermin, in response to the gap between students’ cognitive understanding and the practical implementation of religious values. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the PAI teacher and students, classroom participatory observations, and document analysis of syllabi, lesson plans, and students’ reflective journals. The participants consisted of one PAI teacher and 32 tenth-grade students. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings revealed four major themes: the expansion of dialogical participation, the internalization of values through authentic experiences, the integration of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, and supporting and inhibiting factors in implementation. Discussion-based learning, simulations, and collaborative projects were found to facilitate moral reflection and the enactment of Islamic values such as honesty, responsibility, empathy, and cooperation. This study reinforces the constructivist perspective in value education and offers practical implications for instructional design and character-based assessment policies. Future longitudinal research is recommended to examine the sustainability of value internalization over time.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of using a scrapbook as a tool for teaching foreign vocabulary and its Arabic equivalents—based on a contextual approach—within the language exercises textbook for first-level students in the Language Education Department at Institut Muslim Cendekia. A quantitative research methodology was employed to assess the tool's effectiveness. Data collection methods included interviews, observation, questionnaires, document analysis, and testing. The study population consisted of first-level female students, with a sample size of 30. The researcher utilized SPSS 24 software for data analysis. The research yielded the following result Based on the results of the Paired Sample t-Test, the researcher obtained a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000, indicating that Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05, with a t-value of -6.360, degrees of freedom (df) of 29, and a t-table value of 1.699. Therefore, the absolute t-value (|t| = 6.360) was greater than the t-table value (1.699), indicating that H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted. This finding demonstrates that the developed media was effective for first-semester female students at the Institut Muslim Cendekia.

Abstract

Transitioning the teaching of Arabic syntax (Nahwu) from rote memorization to creative application is an urgent educational objective. In this context, this research aims to describe the design and assess the validity of a Nahwu workbook, supplementary to the textbook "Al-Qawa'id Al-Asasiyyah", based on Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). This initiative is a response to female students' weak ability to apply grammatical rules in language production and daily conversations. The study adopted a Research and Development (R&D) methodology utilizing the Borg & Gall model. The scope of the development procedures was limited to the first three foundational stages: needs analysis, preliminary prototype design, and expert validation of the product. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and validation questionnaires, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model for qualitative data and Likert scale percentages for quantitative data. The needs analysis, involving 30 purposefully sampled second-level female students, revealed that traditional textbook exercises were confined to the cognitive levels of remembering and understanding. This necessitated the development of a workbook targeting the levels of analyzing (C4), evaluating (C5), and creating (C6), in accordance with the Revised Bloom's Taxonomy. The quantitative results of the expert review confirmed the workbook's high validity (Language: 100%, Content: 100%, Design: 98%), establishing its content validity and the soundness of its cognitive construct. The research concludes that the developed workbook is a standardized educational product suitable for field implementation, effectively bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
