Abstract

Racism is a type of discrimination against someone based on their race or it could be their ethnicity. Racism happens often because of the differences that we have between us, especially caused by physical appearance, since the race is also deeply related to physical appearance and also, in fact, based in Sociology, three main races in this world are divided into three, each characterized by their own skin color. The goal of this program is to educate society especially the young generations through Podcast media. The effect that we hope we can give with this program is the pluralism harmonization in the society of Indonesia, in the hope to materialize the third Pancasila precept which is the unity of Indonesia. With the unity in the society, Indonesia is a multicultural country that can focus to move forward together, just like the saying, united we stand, divided we fall.

Abstract

Development of sophisticated information technology in addition to facilitating community activities, also has bad impact to human’s behaviour, one of them is using technology to commit crimes by disseminating incorrect information related to Covid-19 vaccination using mobile phones via Short Message Service. This is stated to have been experienced by many people in Indonesia, so that is why the problem must be immediately addressed legally for the security of people's personal data. This research aims to know about criminal liability for perpetrators of fraudulent Covid-19 vaccination via SMS in Indonesia and legal protection to victims of the criminal act of fraudulent Covid-19 vaccination via SMS in Indonesia. The problems in this research is examined using normative research methods that analyzed qualitatively descriptively using secondary data from primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. Result of this research is indicate that the legal rules regarding fraudulent acts of disseminating information through telecommunication media are applied in Indonesia, so it is necessary to update stricter legal rules for perpetrators of fraudulent acts of spreading hoax information via SMS, so victims who experienced that problem will get proper legal protection.

Abstract

Kegiatan PkM (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat) ini dilakukan berdasarkan permasalahan hukum yang dihadapi oleh pengusaha UMKM di Kota Batam yang bernama D’Cute. Permasalahan hukum tersebut diperoleh dari hasil observasi dan wawancara dengan pemilik UMKM D’Cute. Data-data yang dijadikan sebagai data pendukung dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini diperoleh dari data primer yang bersumber dari hasil observasi ke lokasi mitra serta wawancara secara langsung dengan pemilik UMKM D’Cute. Dimana berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara tersebut, ditemukan bahwa minimnya informasi atau pengetahuan pemilik UMKM D’Cute mengenai arti penting dan tujuan dari pendaftaran hak merek itu sendiri serta tidak mengetahui bahwa pendaftaran hak merek dapat dilakukan secara online. Adapun data sekunder yang digunakan dalam penyusunan artikel kegiatan PkM ini, yaitu diperoleh berdasarkan studi kepustakaan dari berbagai literatur, seperti jurnal-jurnal hukum, buku, serta peraturan perundang-undangan yang relevan dengan pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM ini. Tujuan dilaksanakannya kegiatan PkM ini ialah meningkatkan wawasan pemilik UMKM D’Cute mengenai pentingnya pendaftaran merek dagang melalui DJKI. Hasil implementasi kegiatan PkM ini ialah meningkatnya wawasan pada pemilik UMKM D’Cute mengenai mengenai tata cara pendaftaran hak merek dagang melalui DJKI, maksud dan tujuan dari pentingnya pendaftaran hak merek melalui DJKI, perpanjangan masa perlindungan hak merek, serta jangka waktu perlindungan hak merek itu ada diatur dalam peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku di Indonesia, yaitu UU MIG. Selain itu, juga menghasilkan luaran kegiatan yang bermanfaat bagi pemilik UMKM D’Cute berupa materi sosialisasi dalam bentuk file pdf mengenai pentingnya dari pendaftaran hak merek melalui DJKI serta bukti tanda terima permohonan pendaftaran hak merek dagang D’Cute melalui DJKI.
