Abstract

Rias Village is one of the villages in the South Bangka Toboali Subdistrict which was established by the Bangka Belitung Provincial Government as a rice barn. The government through the South Bangka Regent chose Rias Village as an area of food security and planned to build an agricultural market as an effort to increase the welfare of citizens. This study aims to analyze the impact of the government's purchase price policy on grain demand and supply in Rias Village, Toboali Subdistrict, South Bangka Regency and analyze the effectiveness of government purchase price policies compared to government purchase price policies that previously applied to grain sales at farm level. This research was conducted in September 2018 until July 2019 in Rias Village, Toboali Subdistrict, South Bangka Regency. The research method used is the survey method. The sampling method used is quota sampling with samples of lowland rice farmers. The number of samples of paddy rice farmers is 98 people. Data analysis method uses qualitative analysis (Paired Sample t Test). The results of the study show the policy of purchasing government grain before 2015 and after 2015 through Presidential Regulation No.5 of 2015 did not have a significant impact or difference on the demand and supply of grain in the Rias Village of Toboali Sub-District. The policy of purchasing government grain through Presidential Regulation No.5 of 2015 gives a difference to the selling value of farmers despite a decline in production levels after 2015 due to pest and disease attacks on rice farmers so that the policy can be said to be effective and useful for farmers to guarantee prices grain at the farmer level.

Abstract

The purpose of this research describe patterns of sale of a commodity rice paddy fields in the village of the District Rias Toboali South Bangka Regency, to analyze factors influencing farmers decision in choosing the pattern of sales of commodities in the form of paddy rice grain and rice in the village Rias Toboali District of South Bangka district, analyze the differences in the income of farmers who chose the sales pattern in the form of grain and rice in the village Rias Toboali District of South Bangka Regency. The research was conducted on In June 2019 until January 2020 Village Rias Toboali District of South Bangka Regency. The method used is survey method. The sampling method used is incidental sampling with a sample of two groups of farmers who undertake different sales pattern (grain and rice). The number of samples in the form of farmers who sell grain as many as 35 people and the number of samples in the form of farmers who sell rice about 35 people. Methods of data analysis using Descriptive statistics, quantitative analysis (binary logistic regression, Compare independent samples t-test), The results showed patterns of sale of a commodity rice paddy fields in the village of the District Rias Toboali South Bangka Regency in the form of paddy rice grain and rice. The variables influencing the farmer's decision to choose the pattern of sales of grain and rice that age, the level of producer prices and capital owned with a value of Nagelkerke R Square 84,2%. There are differences in income average grain Rp.4,725,751.43 and income of rice farmers Rp.13,040,380.00 with margin ranges of grain and rice sales revenue in the amount of Rp.8.314.629.

Abstract

The productivity of red chili in the Central Bangka Regency is still below its genetic potential, where the genetic potential of curly red chili per hectare is 200-220 quintals. This condition raises the assumption that the production of red chili in the Central Bangka Regency is not optimal. The purpose of farmers doing red chili production activities is to make a profit. Still, if the production of red chili is not optimal, it will affect the actual profits obtained by farmers. Therefore, it is important to research the optimization of red chili production in the Central Bangka Regency. This study aimed to analyze the effect of red chili production on the total cost of red chili farming and the optimal amount of red chili production by farmers in the Central Bangka Regency. The research method used is the survey method. The sampling method is simple random sampling with a sample of 34 people. The data analysis method used in this study uses inferential statistical methods. The formulation and objectives of the first research will be answered using the total cost function in cubic form. Furthermore, to answer the formulation and objectives of the second study, an analysis will be carried out using the abc formula (quadratic formula). The analysis results show that the amount of red chili production significantly affects production costs in red chili farming in Central Bangka Regency. Still, the amount of red chili production in Bangka Regency Middle is not optimal. So that farmers can achieve the optimal amount of red chili production, farmers should be able to use production inputs efficiently in their farming.
