Abstract

The purpose of this study is to take an inventory of Tana Luwu's special food, the factors that cause the absence of Tana Luwu's special food that is registered with geographical indications and to describe the efforts that can be made by the Local Government in Tana Luwu in providing protection for Geographical Indications of Tana Luwu's Products. The method used in this research is empirical research. The informants in this study are food businesses in Tana Luwu and the government from the Cooperatives and MSME service in Tana Luwu. Research data was obtained by conducting observations, interviews, and documentation and then processed qualitatively. In Tana Luwu, there are no special foods that receive geographic indication protection, due to several factors, including the absence of data related to typical foods in the Tana Luwu area, and the lack of socialization related to the importance of legal protection of geographical indications for typical foods. Cooperation is needed between the Government, typical food entrepreneurs, and academics in providing legal protection for geographical indications for typical foods in the Tana Luwu area.

Abstract

Digital wallets offer convenience in making transactions because they are cashless, but behind the convenience offered by digital wallets there is a content that is quite crucial, which is related to the collection of personal data for digital wallet users. This study uses a normative method with data collection techniques, namely literature. The results show that when registering a digital wallet and the user agrees to the terms and conditions offered by OVO, OVO has the rights to the user's personal data. In addition, there is no law that specifically regulates the protection of personal data.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the condition of the Baha'i community in Palopo during the COVID-19 pandemic and the strategies practiced by the Baha'i community in Palopo to overcome the impact they felt during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The research informants are the Baha'i community in Palopo City, the Ministry of Religion of Palopo City, the Population and Civil Registration Office of Palopo City, and the Palopo City Religious Communication Forum. Research data shows that the Baha'i community feels the impact of the pandemic in two aspects, namely (1) a decrease in income and employment and (2and ) psychological aspects in the form of stress due to physical distancing policies that limit interaction and congregational worship. For this impact, the Baha'i community uses several strategies, namely (1) family intimacy, (2) Social networks and trust relationships (3) technological adaptation and spiritual piety.

Abstract

The participation of women in the farming family in helping the families welfare is very important, especially farmer women's group in Battang Urban Village, Palopo City. This service activity aims to empower farmer wives who are members of the women farmer groups to help their families' welfare through the PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) method. The method was directed at strengthening the capacity of KWT Mandiri members in the Battang Village, Palopo City to prepare their plans, funding, schedules, take action, and carry out monitoring and evaluation. Through this method, the farmer's wife who is part of a woman farmer group can help their family's welfare by selling ornamental plants. This service activity can be said to be successful because the farming family becomes more prosperous and empowered.
