Abstract

Kalisari Village, which is located in Banyumas Regency, is a well-known tofu industrial center area, and tofu has become the economic foundation of the Kalisari village community. The number of tofu producers also makes a lot of waste generated. With the PPKM in progress during this pandemic, tofu production and people's incomes have decreased. Therefore, the author organizes a service program in the form of hydroponic training as a solution to present new economic opportunities while reducing waste in Kalisari village. This training is expected to increase public interest in cultivating hydroponic plants. This training is expected to increase public interest in cultivating hydroponic plants. This training activity was carried out on Friday, August 13, 2021 at the hydroponic management @djiwatani. The methods used in this training are the wick system and the nutrient film technique system (NFT). The results of the training show that the people of Kalisari village are interested in cultivating hydroponic plants, besides that this hydroponic cultivation can later become a new source of income for the community and is proven to be environmentally friendly because it does not use pesticides and does not cause waste.Desa Kalisari yang terletak di Kabupaten Banyumas merupakan daerah sentra industri tahu yang sudah terkenal, dan tahu sudah menjadi tumpuan ekonomi masyarakat desa Kalisari. Banyaknya produsen tahu juga menjadikan banyak limbah yang di hasilkan. Dengan berlangsungnya PPKM dimasa pandemi ini menyebabkan produksi tahu dan pendapatan masyarakat menjadi menurun. Oleh sebab itu penulis menyelenggarakan program pengabdian berupa pelatihan hidroponik sebaga usaha pemberdayaan masyarakat serta solusi untuk menghadirkan peluang ekonomi baru sekaligus mengurangi limbah di desa Kalisari. Adanya pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan minat masyarakat untuk membudidayakan tanaman hidroponik. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dilaksanakan pada hari Jum’at tanggal 13 Agustus 2021 bertempat di pengelolaan hidroponik @djiwatani. Metode yang digunakan pada pelatihan ini adalah wick system dan nutrient film technique system (NFT). Hasil dari pelatihan menunjukan bahwa masyarakat desa Kalisari tertarik untuk membudidayakan tanaman hidroponik, selain itu pembudidayaan hidroponik ini nantinya dapat menjadi sumber pendapatan baru bagi masyarakat dan terbukti ramah lingkungan karena tidak menggunakan bahan pestisida serta tidak menimbulkan limbah.

Abstract

Covid-19 kini tengah menjadi permasalahan nomer satu di segala penjuru dunia. Penyebaran yang begitu cepat serta belum di temukannya obat penangkal yang tepat membuat setiap orang takut terhadap paparan virusnya, terlebih ketika mengetahui bahwa sistem imunitas tubuh lah yang menjadi mangsanya. Upaya vaksinasi saja belum cukup untuk dijadikan jalan utama dalam penyelesaian masalah pengobatancovid-19. Salah satu cara yang efektif adalah dengan menengok kebelakang membuka tabir sejarah pengobatan tradisional berbahan tanaman herbal yang digunakan oleh nenek moyang, bisa menjadi opsi obat pencegah covid-19. Wilayah dengan tanah yang cukup subur dan di tumbuhi lumayan banyak tanaman herbal adalah Desa Cilongok. Namun pemanfaatan tanaman herbal di desa tersebut masih sangat minim. Dari permasalahan tersebut, maka penulis bermaksud mengadakan kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan obat herbal (jamu) pencegah gejala fisik covid-19 penambah imunitas tubuh sebagai upaya perlindungan diri terhadap bahaya covid-19. Serta edukasi mengenai materi seputar covid-19 untuk menumbuhkan sikap perhatian terhadap kesehatan diri disaat pandemi. Adapun hasil kegiatan yang dicapai pada kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya kesadaran diri masyarakat Desa Cilongok tentang pentingnya tanaman obat herbal yang tumbuh di sekitar untuk dijadikan obat penambah imunitas tubuh serta betapa pentingnnya menjaga kesehatan di tengah pandemi dengan cara mematuhi protokol kesehatan.

Abstract

ABSTRACTInterest and motivation in learning are factors that greatly influence learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the effect of Youtube videos on students’ interest and motivation in learning Mathematics at the State Islamic University of Prof. K.H. Saifuddin Zuhri Purwokerto by applying Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method. The variables used in this study are latent variables with the number of samples amounting to 160 samples. The analysis was carried out using SmartPLS 3.0 software. The findings revealed that Youtube videos had a significant direct positive effect on the students’ learning interest (p value = 0.000 0.05) with a path coefficient of 0.415, Youtube videos also had a significant direct positive effect on the students’ learning motivation (p value = 0.000 0.05) with a path coefficient of 0.260. The learning interest, on the other hand, had a significant direct positive effect on the students’ learning motivation (p value = 0.000 0.05) with a path coefficient of 0.529. Youtube videos had a significant indirect positive effect - through learning interest - on the students’ learning motivation (p value = 0.000 0.05) with a path coefficient of 0.220. Furthermore, the results showed that the total effect of YouTube videos on the students’ learning motivation is significant (p value = 0.000 0.05) with a path coefficient of 0.480. The effect of Youtube videos on the students’ learning interest is 16.7%, the remaining percentage is influenced by other variables. The effect of Youtube videos and learning interest on the students’ learning motivation is 45.5%, the rest is influenced by other variables. The YouTube videos were able to predict the students’ learning interest of 0.093 with low criteria whereas the YouTube videos and the learning interest were able to predict their learning motivation of 0.327 with moderate criteria. In general, this study shows that YouTube videos had a significant positive effect on the students’ learning interest and motivation in online mathematics learning.Keywords: Structural Equation Modeling; YouTube; Learning Interest; Learning Motivation ABSTRAKMinat dan motivasi belajar merupakan faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi hasil belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan YouTube terhadap minat dan motivasi belajar matematika mahasiswa Program Studi Tadris Matematika Universitas Prof. K.H. Selanjutnya, dapat diketahui pula bahwa pengaruh total penggunaan YouTube terhadap motivasi belajar signifikan (p value=0.000 0.05) dimana koefisien jalur sebesar 0.480. Pengaruh penggunaan Youtube terhadap minat belajar adalah sebesar 16.7%, sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain dan pengaruh penggunaan Youtube dan minat belajar terhadap motivasi belajar adalah sebesar 45.5% dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain. Penggunaan YouTube mampu memprediksi minat belajar sebesar 0.093 dengan kriteria rendah dan penggunaan YouTube dan minat belajar mampu memprediksi motivasi belajar sebesar 0.327 dengan kriteria sedang. Secara umum, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan YouTube akan berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap minat dan motivasi peserta didik dalam mengikuti pembelajaran matematika secara daring.Kata Kunci: Structural Equation Modeling; Penggunaan YouTube; Minat Belajar; Motivasi Belajar

Abstract

Abstrak. Pembelajaran matematika di sekolah seringkali tidak kontekstual dan dikaitkan dengan budaya karena matematika dianggap tidak ada kaitannya dengan budaya yang ada. Sebagai kabupaten yang kaya akan budaya, pendidik di Kabupaten Banyumas dapat mengintegrasikan kekayaan budaya tersebut dalam pembelajaran matematika. Salah satu kekayaan budaya tersebut adalah berupa makanan khas yang terdapat di Kabupaten Banyumas. Tahu Kalisari merupakan produk tahu Kabupaten Banyumas yang memiliki cita rasa khas dan bentuk geometri yang beragam. Masyarakat Desa Kalisari yang mayoritas berprofesi sebagai pembuat tahu tanpa disadari telah menerapkan konsep-konsep matematika dalam proses pembuatan tahu khas Kalisari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi aktivitas yang melibatkan konsep-konsep matematika yang terdapat dalam proses pembuatan tahu khas Kalisari.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang menggunakan pendekatan etnografi. Observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara dengan pembuat tahu khas Kalisari digunakan sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembuatan tahu khas kalisari melibatkan konsep-konsep matematika yaitu konsep geometri berupa bangun datar dua dimensi (persegi, persegi panjang) dan bangun ruang tiga dimensi (tabung tanpa tutup, setengah bola, balok, balok tanpa alas dan tutup, balok tanpa tutup, limas segiempat, dan bola), konsep pembagian, perbandingan senilai, dan kekongruenan yang dapat digunakan sebagai sumber pembelajaran matematika yang kontekstual. Kata Kunci: Etnomatematika, Tahu Khas Kalisari, Geometri, Pembagian, Perbandingan Senilai, Kekongruenan Abstract. Mathematics learning at schools is often not contextual and culturally related because mathematics is considered to have nothing to do with the existing culture. As a district that is rich in culture, educators in Banyumas Regency can integrate the cultural wealth in learning mathematics. One of the cultural treasures is in the form of special foods found in Banyumas Regency. Kalisari tofu is a tofu product from Banyumas Regency which has a distinctive taste and various geometric shapes. Kalisari village community which majority of whom work as tofu makers, without realising actually applied mathematical concepts in the process of making special Kalisari tofu. This study aims to explore activities that involve mathematical concepts contained in the process of making special Kalisari tofu. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that uses an ethnographic approach. Observation, documentation and interview with Kalisari tofu makers are used as data collection techniques. This study shows that the production of special Kalisari tofu involves mathematical concepts, namely the concept of geometry in the form of two-dimensional flat shapes (square, rectangle) and a constructed three- dimensional shapes (tube without lid, hemispherical, block, block without base and lids, blocks without lids, rectangular pyramids, and spheres), concepts of division, direct proportion and congruence that can be used as a source of contextual mathematics learning. Abstract

Ethnomathematics is a science used to express the relationship between culture and mathematics. Banyumas Regency has a variety of cultures, one of which is batik Banyumas. Batik Banyumas have a characteristic black base color with light color patterns or scribbles, and designs from batik Banyumas contain elements of flora and fauna in Banyumas. This study aims to discover the mathematical concept in batik Banyumas and how to analyze these mathematical concepts. This research is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The data collection process carries out by documentation. Data analysis uses data collection methods, data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification—data validity technique using source triangulation. The mathematical concepts identified in Batik Banyumas are the concept of points, line segments, flat constructs (isosceles triangles, parallelograms, rectangles, rhombuses, and circles), congruence and similarity, as well as geometric transformations (translation, reflection, dilatation, and rotation). The results of this study can be used as a reference for teachers in the application of contextual learning related to learning resources that come from the environment around students and as an explanation to students that mathematics learning can connect to the culture around students, namely the batik Banyumas

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team-Assisted Individualization (TAI) dengan teknik make a match terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas X SMK Plus Tunas Bangsa Kebasen Kabupaten Banyumas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu studi lapangan dengan metode eksperimen. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 38 siswa yang diambil secara keseluruhan dari populasi penelitian, sehingga sampel yang digunakan adalah sampel jenuh sejumlah 38 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes yang berbentuk pretest dan posttest untuk mengukur kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Gain ternomalisasi (N-Gain). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) dengan teknik make a match terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas X SMK Plus Tunas Bangsa Kebasen Kabupaten Banyumas, dibuktikan dengan rata-rata N-Gain kelas eksperimen yang lebih tinggi dari rata-rata N-Gain kelas kontrol yaitu 0.60 > 0.26.Kata kunci: Kooperatif Tipe TAI, Teknik Make a Match, Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode The Power of Two terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTs Daru Abror Kedungjati Kabupaten Purbalingga. Dari teknik Simple Random Sampling diperoleh sampel kelas VIII C yang berjumlah 28 siswa sebagai kelas Kontrol dan kelas VIII F yang berjumlah 28 siswa sebagai kelas Eksperimen. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji N-Gain dan Uji t. Berdasarkan hasil uji N-Gain, diperoleh rata-rata 0,8475 pada kelas eksperimen pada kategori tinggi. Sedangkan rata-rata pada kelas kontrol sebesar 0,6454 pada kategori sedang. Dengan hasil perolehan rata-rata nilai N-Gain kelas eksperimen lebih unggul dari kelas kontrol maka bisa disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode The Power of Two dalam pembelajaran berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa di kelas VIII MTs Darul Abror Kedungjati Kabupaten Purbalingga.Kata Kunci: Metode The Power of Two; Penalaran Matematis; Matematika AbstractThis study aimed to determine the effect of The Power of Two method on students' mathematical reasoning abilities in two-variable Linear Equation Systems. The population in this study were all students of class VIII MTs Daru Abror Kedungjati, Purbalingga Regency. From the Simple Random Sampling technique, a sample of 28 students was obtained from class VIII C as the Control class and 28 students from class VIII F as the Experiment class. Data collection methods in this study were interviews, tests, observation, and documentation. Data analysis used a normality test, homogeneity test, N-Gain test, and t-test. Based on the results of the N-Gain test, an average of 0.8475 was obtained in the experimental class in the high category. At the same time, the average in the control class is 0.6454 in the medium category. With the results of obtaining an average N-Gain value for the experimental class superior to the control class, it can be concluded that the application of The Power of Two method in learning affects students' mathematical reasoning abilities in class VIII MTs Darul Abror Kedungjati, Purbalingga Regency.Keywords: The Power of Two Method; Mathematical Reasoning Ability; Mathematics.

Abstract

Representational ability, namely the ability of students to express mathematical ideas in their minds into tangible forms such as pictures, tables, symbols, mathematical equations, writing or words, and so on. Self-concept is one of the variables that is considered to affect students' mathematical representation abilities. Self-concept is how he sees himself. The study aimed to investigate whether self-concept influences the mathematical representation abilities of Grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 9 Purwokerto. Quantitative methods were used in this study with a survey approach. The study population consisted of 283 class VIII students of SMP Negeri 9 Purwokerto, with a total sample of 166 students. The independent variable in the form of self-concept and the dependent variable in the form of students' mathematical representation abilities are the variables in this study. Questionnaires were used to assess self-concept, and tests were to assess students' mathematics representation ability. Data analysis was performed by simple linear regression. The research shows that self-concept has an influence of 18.2% on students' mathematical representation abilities, while other variables influence 81.8% of students' mathematical representation abilities. Based on the research that has been done, self-concept affects the students' mathematics representation ability of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 9 Purwokerto. The effect of self-concept on students' mathematics representation ability is 0.182.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low ability of class VIII students at MTs N 1 Purbalingga to understand mathematical concepts. This research aims to compare students' ability to understand mathematical concepts in flat-sided geometric material using two different learning models, namely discovery learning and Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, And Extending (CORE) with the help of pop-up book media. The research method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental type of research. The population in this study were class VIII students at MTs N 1 Purbalingga for the 2022/2023 academic year. The sampling technique used simple random sampling, and the sample in this study were students in classes VIII D and VIII E, totaling 76 students. In experimental class I, I received teaching using the discovery learning model assisted by pop-up books. For experimental class II, I received teaching using the CORE model assisted by pop-up books. The data collection method uses tests in the form of pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique uses the n-gain and two independent samples t-tests. The research results showed that the average n-gain score in experimental class I was 0.656; in experimental class II, it was 0.366, which was in the medium category. Judging from the n-gain interpretation, the average percentage value obtained by experimental class I, namely 65.5%, is interpreted as quite effective. It is interpreted as ineffective in experimental class II, namely 36.6%. Based on analysis using the t-test for two independent samples, the significance value was 0.000 < α=0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who use the pop-up book-assisted discovery learning model and the CORE assisted learning model on flat-sided building materials.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an ethnomathematical study-based learning module on hydroponic plant cultivation to improve the mathematical problem-solving ability of class VII junior high school students on social arithmetic material that meets the criteria of validity and effectiveness. This research method is research and development with the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). Data collection instruments include interviews, validation sheets, questionnaires, and pre-test and post-test questions. The data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. The results showed that ethnomathematics research-based learning modules were considered effective and feasible, with a percentage of 90% results verified by material and ethnomathematics experts, 96% by media experts, 90% teacher assessments, and a pass rate of group examination assessments of 87.3%, and a pass rate of on-site examination evaluations of 88.61%. The modules developed are also claimed to be effective in improving students' mathematical solving skills, with the experimental class having an average N-gain score of 0.78 in the "very high" category, better than the control class with an average N-gain score of 0.32 in the "medium" category. Both data were tested using a two-sample t-test and obtained 0.00 results less than 0.05 then H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted.
