Abstract

AbstrakIkan Kembung Lelaki (Rastrelliger kanagurta) merupakan komoditas perikanan yang bernilai ekonomis penting. Adanya kegiatan penangkapan ikan Kembung Lelaki secara terus menerus menimbulkan kekhawatiran terhadap kondisi stok ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan, laju mortalitas dan tingkat eksploitasi ikan Kembung Lelaki. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Agustus-November 2020 di PPP Tasikagung, Rembang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode sistematik random sampling. Hasil penelitian diperoleh kisaran panjang ikan yang tertangkap 130-260 mmTL dan bobot 24-198 gram. Analisis panjang bobot menunjukkan ikan bersifat isometrik dengan persamaan W = 0,0000091L3,038. Analisis pertumbuhan L∞ sebesar 270 mmTL dengan koefisien pertumbuhan (K) 0,63/tahun, dan t0 -0,139. Mortalitas total (Z) 1,31/tahun, mortalitas alami (M) 0,71/tahun dan mortalitas penangkapan (F) 0,60/tahun. Tingkat eksploitasi (E) sebesar 0,45/tahun yang menunjukkan tingkat eksploitasi rendah (under fishing). Kata kunci: Ikan Kembung Lelaki, Pertumbuhan, Mortalitas, Tingkat Eksploitasi, PPP Tasikagung AbstractIndian Mackerel (Rastrelliger kanagurta)is fishery commodity that has important economic value. The existence of catching activities continuously raises concerns about the condition of fish stocks. The purposes of this research were to find out the growth, mortality and exploitation rate of Indian mackerel. The study was conducted in Agustus-November 2020 at PPP Tasikagung Rembang used sistematyc random sampling method. The results showed that the length range 130-260 mmTL and weighing 24-198 grams. Weight length analysis showed growth pattern were isometric with the equation W = 0,0000091L3,038. Growth analysis showed L∞ was 270 mmTL, growth coefficient (K) 0,63/year, and t0 -0,139/year. Total fish mortality (Z) was 1,31/year, natural mortality (M) was 0,71/year and fishing mortality (F) was 0,60/year. Abstract

Infrastructure is a key driver of regional development, yet its long-term benefits depend on sustainable planning and governance. The Semarang–Demak toll road, a 27-kilometer coastal corridor completed between 2019 and 2025, presents a critical case study as it traverses areas highly vulnerable to land subsidence, flooding, and erosion. Numerous studies have examined the engineering and hydrodynamic aspects of coastal infrastructure in northern Java. However, limited attention has been given to how affected coastal communities perceive environmental change, governance transparency, and their participation in infrastructure decision-making processes. This study examines the project’s environmental dynamics and social dimensions by combining a review of scholarly literature, books, and technical reports with an explanatory quantitative survey of affected residents in Semarang and Demak.  The results indicate that most respondents recognize severe degradation of their coastal environment, including land loss and heightened exposure to tidal flooding. However, awareness of government policies and programs related to coastal management remains low, with 31.8% of respondents falling into the "limited policy awareness" category. This limited policy knowledge reflects broader environmental governance weaknesses, particularly transparency and communication. Furthermore, community participation in decision-making processes remains limited (56.8%), indicating that many residents feel excluded from the planning and implementation of infrastructure projects that directly affect their livelihoods. Despite this limited engagement, community perceptions reveal a strong ecological awareness shaped by direct experience with coastal hazards. The contrast between high environmental awareness and low policy involvement signals a growing risk of social resistance to coastal infrastructure if participatory mechanisms are not improved. Therefore, strengthening communication, transparency, and inclusive governance is essential to align infrastructure development with community resilience and long-term sustainability.

Abstract

Wadaslintang Reservoir is a multipurpose reservoir used for power generation, irrigation, capture fisheries, and fish farming using a floating net cage (KJA) system. Intensification of this utilization has the potential to increase pressure on water quality and the sustainability of fish resources. This study aims to evaluate the condition of water quality, phytoplankton community structure, composition and size of fish catch, and their relationship to KJA cultivation activities in Wadaslintang Reservoir. The study was conducted through measuring physicochemical parameters of water at six observation stations, phytoplankton identification, analysis of fish catch composition, measurement of tilapia size, and collection of secondary data regarding KJA cultivation activities. The results showed that most water quality parameters, such as dissolved oxygen, temperature, nitrate, and ammonia, still met the quality standards for class III waters. However, the total phosphate concentration at several stations exceeded the quality standards, accompanied by relatively low clarity and the dominance of phytoplankton from the Chlorophyta and Cyanobacteria groups with a moderate diversity index (H' = 1.78), which indicates the presence of nutrient pressure leading to eutrophic conditions. The catch composition is dominated by tilapia (75.68%), with sizes that are generally still relatively small compared to mature gonad size. Production from marine cage cultivation is also dominated by tilapia (97.91%), potentially increasing nutrient loads if management is not adjusted to environmental carrying capacity. The results of the study indicate that Wadaslintang Reservoir is still suitable for fisheries, but requires capacity-based aquaculture management, increased feed efficiency, and regular water quality monitoring to maintain ecosystem sustainability.
