Abstract

The research aimed to determine the growth variable correlated to the mini tubers yield of potato and obtained the media thickness of cocopeat and frequency of fertilizer which was good for growth and yield of potato mini tubers. The research is arranged to use complete randomized block design with three replications. The main factor was the thickness of media cocopeat with three levels, which was 10 cm, 15 cm and 20 cm. The second factor was the frequency of nutrients with two levels, which was three days and six days. The results of the research showed that the number of mini tubers yield were influenced by frequency of fertilizer and were not the thickness of cocopeat media.The number of mini tubers yield were correlated with height plant, leaf area, root length, number of stolon, and stolon effectivity. The number mini tubers yield were most affected by number of stolon, and stolon effectivity with the regression model that was Ŷ = - 4.21588** – 0.00338 XPHns + 0.00003 XLAns – 0.00377 XRLns + 0.52317 XNST** + 0.08233 XSE**.

Abstract

The use of sawdust waste as a source of organic material in crop farming on Entisol is important to study because wood waste is more difficult to decompose than organic material from seasonal crop waste. This study aims to determine the effect of bokashi made from wood sawdust and the interval of fertilization through leaves on the growth of green mustard. The research was conducted at the Plastic House and the Laboratory of Agronomy and Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture UNSOED Purwokerto from November 2019 to February 2020. The factorial pot experiment (3x3) was arranged in a Complete Randomized Block Design with three replications. The first factor was the rates of bokashi which included control (without bokashi), the rates of bokashi was 20 t.ha-1 and 40 t.ha-1. The second factor was the frequency of foliar fertilizer spraying which consisted of control (without leaf fertilization), spraying of foliar fertilizer at intervals of 3 days and 6 days. Then growth of the green mustard shoots showed stunted when given wood sawdust waste bokashi, and it was further inhibited when the dose was increased. Application of foliar fertilizer every 6 days is only effective in increasing the growth of plant roots. There is an interaction effect between the treatment of bokashi from wood sawdust waste and the interval of fertilizing through the leaves on the green mustard leaf color level. Kata kunci: Bokashi, Limbah Serbuk Gergaji, Pertumbuhan, Sawi Hijau Abstrak Pemanfaatan limbah serbuk gergaji sebagai sumber bahan organik pada budi daya tanaman di Entisol penting diteliti karena limbah kayu lebih sulit terurai dibandingkan bahan organik dari limbah tanaman semusim. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bokashi yang dibuat dari bahan serbuk gerjadi kayu dan interval pemupukan melalui daun terhadap pertumbuhan sawi hijau. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Rumah Plastik dan Laboratorium Agronomi dan Hortikultura, Fakultas Pertanian UNSOED Purwokerto mulai bulan November 2019 sampai dengan Februari 2020. Perlakuan faktorial (3x3) disusun dalam Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap tiga kali ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah dosis bokashi meliputi kontrol (tanpa bokashi), dosis bokashi 20 t.ha-1 dan 40 t.ha-1. Faktor kedua yaitu frekuensi penyemprotan pupuk daun yang terdiri dari kontrol (tanpa dipupuk daun), penyemprotan pupuk daun interval waktu 3 hari dan 6 hari. Pertumbuhan bagian tajuk tanaman sawi hijau menunjukkan terhambat bila diberi bokashi limbah serbuk gergaji kayu, dan semakin terhambat lagi bila dosisnya ditingkatkan. Pemberian pupuk daun setiap 6 hari sekali hanya efektif meningkatkan pertumbuhan perakaran tanaman. Terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara perlakuan bokashi dari limbah serbuk gergaji kayu dan interval pemupukan melalui daun pada tingkat kehijauan warna daun sawi hijau.
