Abstract

The science and technology application activities are planned to be carried out with the partner of the women farmer group located in Kediri Village, Karanglewas District. The problems faced by partners are not having adequate knowledge about natural pest management and the correct use of organic fertilizers; do not have skills in making and using vegetable pesticides, liquid organic fertilizers, and proper organic vegetable cultivation techniques. The purpose of applying science and technology is to provide knowledge about the functions and ways of using vegetable pesticides and liquid organic fertilizers, improving skills in making and using vegetable pesticides, POC, technical complete package of organic vegetable cultivation. Methods for achieving the goal are socialization and learning by doing, which are complemented by guiding and piloting techniques. The output of the service activities is in the form of articles in dedication journals, and articles on appropriate technology (TTG).

Abstract

Sebuah kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat telah dilaksanakan dalam bentuk transfer teknologi tepat guna budidaya tanaman sayuran dan buah-buahan secara organik yang bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan atau lahan yang masih kosong. Mitra dalam program PKM ini adalah ibu-ibu Kelompok Wanita Usaha Tani di Desa Tambaksogra. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan budidaya tanaman sayuran secara organik, pembuatan pestisida nabati dan demplot di lahan pekarangan. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan monitoring pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman pada demplot. Hasil dari pelaksanaan program ini adalah terdapat peningkatan keterampilan tentang budidaya sayuran organik yang efisien sebesar 75%, peningkatan paket produk berupa sayuran organik dari hasil demplot pada kelompok mitra sebesar 80%, dan pemahaman masyarakat tentang sayuran organik yang lebih sehat, bergizi dan berdaya hasil tinggi, khususnya kelompok tani, telah mencapai 100% melalui penilaian bahwa mereka sangat memahami kegunaan teknologi tepat guna untuk mendapatkan produk yang lebih banyak sehingga dapat meningkatkan pendapatan dibandingkan dengan budidaya tanaman sayuran secara konvensional. Kata kunci: Pertanian organik, sayuran, pestisida nabati, lahan pekarangan. ABSTRACT A community service activity has been carried out in the form of transfer of appropriate technology for the cultivation of vegetables and fruits organically which aims to optimize the use of yard or vacant land. Partners in this PKM program are women from the Women's Farmers' Group in Tambaksogra Village. The method used is training on organic vegetable cultivation, manufacture of vegetable pesticides and demonstration plots in the yard. Evaluation is done by monitoring the growth and production of plants in the demonstration plots. The results of the implementation of this program are an increase in skills regarding efficient organic vegetable cultivation by 75%, an increase in product packages in the form of organic vegetables from demonstration plots in partner groups by 80%, and public understanding of organic vegetables that are healthier, nutritious and high yielding, especially farmer groups, have reached 100% through precisely that they really understand the use of technology to get more products so that they can increase income compared to conventional crop cultivation. Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui: (1) pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman garut terhadap pemberian pupuk bokashi, (2) dosis pupuk bokashi optimal untuk meningkatkan produksi garut, (3) pertumbuhan dan hasil garut terhadap kedalaman tanam; (4) interaksi antara kedalaman tanam dan dosis pupuk bokashi pada garut. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. Rancangan percobaan: Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap. Faktor yang dicoba: tingkat kedalaman tanam dan dosis pupuk bokashi. Hasil: pemupukan bokashi meningkatkan kandungan pati umbi garut, dengan nilai tertinggi pada dosis tiga persen. Dosis pupuk bokashi yang terbaik untuk meningkatkan hasil adalah tiga persen, dengan indikator kandungan pati menjadi sebesar 19,634 persen. Kedalaman tanam 20 cm berpengaruh terhadap volume umbi per tanaman, bobot segar umbi, dan produksi per satuan luas, sedangkan kedalaman tanam 30 cm berpengaruh terhadap kandungan pati umbi garut. Terdapat interaksi antara kedalaman tanam dengan pemupukan bokashi, yaitu pada variabel kandungan pati umbi garut dengan nilai tertinggi 19,898 persen pada pemupukan bokashi tiga persen dengan kedalaman 30 cm. Abstract

Aren plant (Arenga pinnata) can produce industrial raw materials. Almost all parts of palm trees can be utilized, namely young and old leaves, young endosperms, stems, stem bunches of flowers, roots, and fibers. Sugar leaves used for the roof of the house or hut. Young endosperms are used for fleas as a mixture of food or drink. Stem aren tree can be taken flour for the manufacture of palm flour. The main problem is the unclear growth of aren trees caused by soil characteristics in various places. The objectives of the study were to: 1) understanding the effect of land characteristic on the growth of aren trees; 2) look for various growth characters of aren plants at different altitudes. The study was conducted by survey and observation. Location was selected by purposive sampling, i.e. areas with altitude (<600 m ASL, 600 to 700 m ASL, and> 700 m ASL). The results showed differences results. Aren plant cultivation techniques that include the way of nursery, maintenance and post harvest management not implemented in Kulonprogo region, especially Ngargosari village, Pagerharjo, and Nglinggo. There is influence of altitude factors of place, soil type, morphology, physiology, and biochemistry to growth and aren products.

Abstract

The use of sawdust waste as a source of organic material in crop farming on Entisol is important to study because wood waste is more difficult to decompose than organic material from seasonal crop waste. This study aims to determine the effect of bokashi made from wood sawdust and the interval of fertilization through leaves on the growth of green mustard. The research was conducted at the Plastic House and the Laboratory of Agronomy and Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture UNSOED Purwokerto from November 2019 to February 2020. The factorial pot experiment (3x3) was arranged in a Complete Randomized Block Design with three replications. The first factor was the rates of bokashi which included control (without bokashi), the rates of bokashi was 20 t.ha-1 and 40 t.ha-1. The second factor was the frequency of foliar fertilizer spraying which consisted of control (without leaf fertilization), spraying of foliar fertilizer at intervals of 3 days and 6 days. Then growth of the green mustard shoots showed stunted when given wood sawdust waste bokashi, and it was further inhibited when the dose was increased. Application of foliar fertilizer every 6 days is only effective in increasing the growth of plant roots. There is an interaction effect between the treatment of bokashi from wood sawdust waste and the interval of fertilizing through the leaves on the green mustard leaf color level. Kata kunci: Bokashi, Limbah Serbuk Gergaji, Pertumbuhan, Sawi Hijau Abstrak Pemanfaatan limbah serbuk gergaji sebagai sumber bahan organik pada budi daya tanaman di Entisol penting diteliti karena limbah kayu lebih sulit terurai dibandingkan bahan organik dari limbah tanaman semusim. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bokashi yang dibuat dari bahan serbuk gerjadi kayu dan interval pemupukan melalui daun terhadap pertumbuhan sawi hijau. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Rumah Plastik dan Laboratorium Agronomi dan Hortikultura, Fakultas Pertanian UNSOED Purwokerto mulai bulan November 2019 sampai dengan Februari 2020. Perlakuan faktorial (3x3) disusun dalam Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap tiga kali ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah dosis bokashi meliputi kontrol (tanpa bokashi), dosis bokashi 20 t.ha-1 dan 40 t.ha-1. Faktor kedua yaitu frekuensi penyemprotan pupuk daun yang terdiri dari kontrol (tanpa dipupuk daun), penyemprotan pupuk daun interval waktu 3 hari dan 6 hari. Pertumbuhan bagian tajuk tanaman sawi hijau menunjukkan terhambat bila diberi bokashi limbah serbuk gergaji kayu, dan semakin terhambat lagi bila dosisnya ditingkatkan. Pemberian pupuk daun setiap 6 hari sekali hanya efektif meningkatkan pertumbuhan perakaran tanaman. Terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara perlakuan bokashi dari limbah serbuk gergaji kayu dan interval pemupukan melalui daun pada tingkat kehijauan warna daun sawi hijau.
