Abstract

Depletion of fossil energy reserves as a result of increased population growth and industrial sectors. Biomass can be considered as the best option for alternative renewable energy. The objective of this study was to investigate the possibility of water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) to produce bio-briquette. The briquetting experiment was conducted with different both of tapioca strach and wood glue adhesive. The presentage of adhesive was 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%, and 12%. The briquettes were tested to evalueted water content, ash content and calorific value. The results showed that the value of water content and ash content increased by increasing presentage adhesive on bio-briquete. However, the calorific value reached the maximum point of 10 % and 8 % for addition tapioca strach and wood glue adhesive, respectively.

Abstract

Activated carbon prepared from rubber (Havea brasiliensis) seeds was used to remove methylene blue and methyl red from aqueous solutions. Adsorption studies were conducted to evaluate the effect of contact time and amount of carbon active on the removal of methylene blue and methyl red at temperature of 25oC. The equilibrium adsorption data of methylene blue and methyl red on activated carbon were analyzed by Freundlich and Langmuir isotherm model. The absorption kinetic models were predicted by pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order. The pseudo-second-order kinetic model was the best fitting equilibrium adsorption data. The results of adsorption methylene blue and methyl red on aqueous solutions shown that rubber seeds as carbon active can be used as material for adsorption.

Abstract

Berdasarkan kajian literatur diketahui bahwa mikroorganisme dalam makanan tidak hanya bergantung pada karakteristik fisik dan nutrisi makanan tetapi juga pada serangkaian faktor yang mempengaruhi seperti suhu, pH, aktivitas air, dan potensi redoks, dapat dianggap sebagai faktor terpenting yang mendorong nasib mikroba dalam makanan. Fermentasi merupakan cara pengawetan bahan pangan dari bahan mentah dengan bantuan mikroorganisme. Makanan diolah melalui proses fermentasi dibagi menjadi empat macam dilihat dari prosesnya yaitu fermentasi asam laktat, fermentasi jamur, fermentasi alcohol dan fermentasi dengan menggunakan kadar garam tinggi. Nanoteknologi memiliki manfaat potensial dari nanomaterial dalam sistem industri pangan, mencakup banyak aspek, seperti keamanan pangan, bahan pengemas, sensor nano, sistem pengiriman nutrisi, ketersediaan hayati, bahan baru untuk deteksi patogen dan lain-lain.

Abstract

Oil cooled power transformer has important role in the electricity distribution system. Its windings were immersed in oil as an insulating medium and also as a cooler. This oil would be heated up due to several things, the most significant was heat generated by winding’s power loss. The monitoring of oil temperature on the transformer was always done routinely every day to maintain its performance and health condition. IoT based measurements could improved efficiency and minimized manpower resources. To realize this the indirect non-destructive measurement method was proposed to estimate transformator’s temperature oil. It will corellate the oil temperature and body temperature through a constant calibration factor derived from calculations. Conducted experiment applied to specific existing transformator and followed by calculations resulted a calibration factor = 1.7749. The smallest average of estimated temperature error was lied in the range of 40 - 90 degrees Celcius.

Abstract

Dalam kasus error counting (kegagalan perhitungan gandar kereta api) sistem axle counter Az S 350 U, diperlukan adanya reset untuk menormalkan kembali sistem, sehingga track dapat dilintasi kembali. Akan tetapi, reset hanya dapat dilakukan dari stasiun tempat terjadinya error counting tersebut, sehingga muncul permasalahan adanya ketidakefisienan waktu, karena mengharuskan petugas datang ke stasiun terkait, dan total waktu reset yang diperlukan ± 30 menit. Oleh karena itu diperlukan alat yang dapat membuat kendali reset dari jarak jauh (remote reset). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, dan model pengembangan perangkat lunaknya menggunakan model realisasi, pada studi kasus hubungan Stasiun Weleri-Krengseng. Sistem yang dirancang terdiri dari 2 buah alat, yaitu client pada Stasiun Krengseng, dan server pada Stasiun Weleri, dengan masing-masing controller yang digunakan adalah STM32F103C8T6. Alat pada Stasiun Krengseng (client) dirancang untuk mendeteksi kondisi axle counter terhadap track menggunakan optocoupler PC817, dan hasilnya akan dikirimkan kepada server sebagai input dari sistem remote reset. Selain itu, client juga melakukan melakukan fungsi reset menggunakan relay, dengan mempertimbangkan command reset (output sistem remote reset) dari server, yang dikirimkan melalui jaringan LAN (Local Area Network) dan media transmisi fiber optik. Dengan adanya alat ini, kondisi axle counter terhadap track pada Stasiun Krengseng dapat terpantau oleh Stasiun Weleri, dan Stasiun Weleri dapat melakukan remote reset terhadap axle counter Stasin Krengseng, dengan total waktu reset yang diperlukan adalah < 3 detik, dengan waktu < 1 detik untuk relay reset me-respond command reset dari server.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan berapa jarak tanam dan dosis pupuk kotoran ayam terbaik pada ubi jalar ungu di tanah gambut, serta untuk mengetahui apakah terjadi interaksi antara jarak tanam dan dosis pupuk kotoran ayam pada ubi jalar  di tanah gambut. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terbagi (Split PlotDesign) pola faktorial dengan dua faktor perlakuan terdiri dari jarak tanam (J) sebagai petak utama (mainplot) dan pupuk kotoran ayam (P) sebagai anak petak (subplot). Adapun jarak tanam terdiri dari tiga taraf, yaitu : j1 = (70 cm x 20 cm) j2 = (70 cm x 25 cm) j3 = (70 cm x 30 cm)dan pupuk kotoran ayam terdiri dari tiga taraf, yaitu : p1 = (10 ton/ha) p2 = (15 ton/ha ) p3 = (30 ton/ha). Masing-masingperlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali.Variabel yang diamati pada penelitian ini adalah, panjang batang utama (cm), klorofil daun (spad unit), Berat kering tanaman (g), Jumlah umbi Per Tanaman, Berat umbi segar Per Tanaman, Berat umbi segar Per petak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini tidak ditemukan perlakuan berbagai jarak tanam dan dosis pupuk kotoran ayam yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman ubi jalar ungu di tanah gambut serta tidak terjadi interaksi antara jarak tanam dan pupuk kotoran ayam terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil ubi jalar ungu di tanah gambut. Kata kunci:JarakTanam,UbiJalarUngu, KotoranAyam, Tanah Gambut

Abstract

A sense of Nationalism and National Insight is related to curiosity about the history of the Nation. Museums are a medium and means to assist knowledge of history because they play a role in the development of National culture, especially National education and Nationalist motivation. The Abdul Djalil Cadet Museum is a museum located at the Magelang City Military Academy. The Abdul Djalil Cadet Museum is one of the educational facilities at the Military Academy which visually presents a collection that plays a large role in the education process for future leadership officers. This research aims to find out how much influence the Abdul Djalil Military Academy Cadet Museum has on the National Insight of Magelang City High School Students and the most dominant factors influencing the Abdul Djalil Cadet Museum on the National Insight of Magelang City High School Students. The research uses quantitative methods with the technique used using Randon Sampling, using the Slovin formula. The population of this study was the average number of high school students who visited the Abdul Djalil museum within a period of 4 months with a sample of 60 high school students in Magelang City. The research instrument uses a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using SPPS version 11.5 and the results of the analysis were presented in table form. The results of Taruna Abdul Djalil's museum research on the National Insight of Magelang City High School students had a very strong influence of 0.804 and simultaneously or jointly it was 0.647 and the remainder was 0.353. The most dominant factor in the selected Museum variable is the story indicator with a percentage of 58.3 so it can be concluded that the story factor contained in the Adbul Djalil Taruna Museum variable greatly influences museum visitors towards national insight.

Abstract

Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) is a family medicinal herb commonly used as a kitchen spice. Lemongrass contains essential oils such as citral, myrcene, geraniol, citronellol, and α-oxo bisabolene that have a high-selling value and benefits as a fungal growth inhibitor, antibacterial, anti-insect, and anti-cancer. Socialization about the benefits of lemongrass essential oils and training on producing its essential oils was conducted through community service. The activity material was delivered through a presentation, and training in processing lemongrass to essential oils was conducted through a demo activity directly in front of participants. This community service activity was held in the Plaju Darat urban village meeting hall involving family welfare empowerment representatives, the head of the neighborhood, and the urban village community as participants. Pre-tests and post-tests were given to participants to determine the level of their understanding of the material presented. The test results improved participants’ understanding of the benefits of essential oils and their processing methods. It was concluded that participants understood the benefits of lemongrass essential oils and knew how to produce them.

Abstract

Utilization of solid waste raw materials in the form of coconut shells and fly ash as adsrobents for domestic wastewater treatment. This study aims to optimize the effect of coconut shell activated carbon and fly ash with variations in mass ration and stirring time on changes in pH, COD, BOD, ammonia, TSS, and total coliform by adsorption on domestic liquid waste to meet waste quality standards. The research method includes the preparation of activated carbon from coconut shell, SEM characterization and experiments of a mixture of coconut shell activated carbon mass and fly ash (5:10, 10:5, 5:15, 15:5 grams) with variations in stirring time (30 minutes, 60 minutes). The results of the study, the most optimal mixture for changes in pH, ammonia, TSS, COD, BOD, total coliform parameters in domestic wastewater was a mixture of coconut shell activated carbon adsorbent mass of 15 grams and fly ash of 5 grams with a stirring time of 60 minutes.

Abstract

Teknologi digital menjadi dasar bagi berbagai teknologi modern yang inamis dan terus berkembang. Secara fundamental, rekayasa digital mencakup beberapa konsep penting, termasuk gerbang logika, flip-flop, system bilangan, dan aritmatika biner. Aplikasi rekayasa digital sangat luas. Gerbang logika dasar seperti AND, OR, NOT, NAND, NOR, XOR, dan XNOR memiliki peran yang sangat fundamental dalam desain system digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman, efisiensi, dan kinerja system digital melalui pemodelan dan analisis menggunakan Simulink. Simulink digunakan untuk merancang model representatif dari gerbang logika dasar. Dengan melakukan simulasi untuk memvalidasi operasi dan respons gerbang logika, analisis dapat dilakukan untuk mengukur waktu respons, stabilitas, dan toleransi terhadap gangguan. Dengan mengombinasikan pendekatan pemodelan menggunakan Simulink dengan analisis kinerja, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan dalam pengembangan sistem digital yang lebih canggih dan andal di masa depan.
