Abstract

The fishing of Sepat (Trichogaster sp) in freshwaters of Banjar Regency with a solid intensity that has lasted long enough. This study aims: (1) Knowing the model of surplus production that can be used. (2) Knowing the optimum effort Sepat (3) Knowing maximum sustainable yield. (4) Knowing the utilization level of Sepat. (5) Knowing the effort level of Sepat. The method that used in this research is survey method and collecting data. Data is analyzed by the Schaefer’s model and Fox’s model. The result of this research: (1) The best model is the Schaefer model with R2 and validation value. (2) The catch rate of Sepat is 45630 trip per year. (3) Maximum sustainable yield of Sepat is 45,466 ton per year. (4) The utilization rate of Sepat (Trichogaster sp) is 33% which shows there has been no more catch under fishing (5) Effort level of Sepat is 16 %.

Abstract

Ayunan is the trap most widely used by public Sungai Batang Village, inaddition to the unique shape of this tool also has an extensive capacity toaccommodate good catches of shrimp and fish species. In addition to the village ofSungai Batang, at the Hulu Sungai region there is also the ayunan that looks differentfrom contained in Sungai Batang Village. This study aims to (1) know the difference between shrimp of catch amorayunan and box ayunan, and (2) to determine the catch other than shrimp. Theresults of research, treatment A (amor ayunan) shrimp catches as many as 1464 ,with a total weight of 9100 grams. Treatment B (box ayunan), shrimp catches asmany as 1443 , with a total weight of 7730 grams. Type of main haul shrimp(Macrobrachium rosenbergii de Man) and Freshwater Shrimp (Palaemon sp), with bycatches are Lundu (Mystus gulio) with a total of 18 and total weight of 215 grams,sapu-sapu (Hypostomus plecostomus ) 2 , weighing a total of 560 grams, Puyau(Osteochilus hasselti) 3 , weighing a total of 35 grams, telan (Macrognathusaculeatus) 2 , weighing 810 grams.Bamboo and rattan as materials to make the ayunan has a weaknessbecause odor (smell) is not good (bangai) and therefore contributes to the catch. Toovercome this weakness it is advisable to replace the wire with the basic material.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) know the difference between the catch of prawns from tamba and ayunan, and (2) to determine the catch other than prawn. The results, treatment A (tamba) gained as much as 52 prawns, with a total weight of 2,210 grams. Treatment B (ayunan modifications bamboo flooring), gained as much as 29 prawns, with a total weight of 180 grams. Total catch of prawns using swing modifications and add bamboo flooring for 16 days of observation was 81prawns with a total weight of 2,390 grams. Main types of catches fresh water prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii de Man) with a side of the catch is Lundu (Mystus Gulio) and Sapu-sapu (Hypostomusplecostomus).

Abstract

Fishing vessel is one element in determining the success of fishing operations. This study aims to determine; (1) the level of technology; (2) the type of wood used, and (3) the stageof development of timber ships in the traditional ship yard. The study was conducted by Survey. Research conducted ship yard Sewangi Barito Kuala district and village Pagaruyung Tanah Bumbu Regency South Kalimantan. The study was conducted in August through October 2013. Results showed that: ( 1 ) The level of technology used in the construction of the ship is still relatively low , the equipment used is still using nonelectronic equipment ie axes, saws, chisels, pegs, hammer, machetes, bacci, measuring instruments, planers. Only the use of an electric drill workmanship. The level oftechnology in the construction of timber ships has not been completed by the calculationof shipping architecture and ship design and construction drawings ; ( 2 ) type of wood used is Ulin wood, Alaban, Bengkirai, Bungur and Meranti which have a high degree of strength and resistant to attack by marine organisms; ( 3 ) Stages of development oftraditional boats to large ships began with the manufacture of the hull, keel assembly tothe deck and transom beam. As for the small boat begins with the manufacture of thevessel tree seedlings. The next stage is good for big ships and small ships are mountingLinggi bow and stern, leather installation vessel up to half the height of the ship,Installation joist left and right, galar installation, installation of ship skin entirely to sheer, sheer installation, flooring installation deck, pemakalan, rig manufacturing of largevessels and final are painting

Abstract

The aims of this study were: (1) find out main, functional, and supporting facility. (2) The facilities in Fishing Port Batulicin. (3) Factor of power, weakness, opportunity and threat for Fishing Port Batulicin. Data collection is a direct observation, interview and direct measurement. The data analyzed through descriptive analysis and SWOT analysis. The results were: (1) The main facilities consist of ground, quay, jetty, pool, sheet file, asphalt complex road, concrete complex road, parking lot and drainage; the functional facilities consist of TPI, center building of fish marketing and distribution, factories, concrete fence, cold storage, ABF, guardhouse, SPBN,electricity from PLN, generator set, house generator set, water tower, water tank, UPSA office, police station and dump; supporting facilities are little shops, guardhouse, public toilet and bathroom (MCK), staff house, medical clinic, meeting hall, forklift, water pump, big basket, smallbasket, basket with capacity 40 kg, basket with capacity 50 kg, ice crusher, hanging scales and tablescales, sprayer machine, water tank, cool box fiber, cool box plastic, hold of a ship, cart, megaphone, electrical water pump, and whiteboard. (2) The condition of main facilities: 77% are ingood condition, 11,1% are slightly damaged, and 11,1% are seriously damaged; functional facilities: 68% are in good condition, 18,75% are slightly damaged, and 12,5 % are seriously damaged; supporting facilities: 55,39% are in good condition, 3,36% are slightly damaged, and41,25 % are seriously damaged. (3) The powers are the ground was not used optimally yet, the amount of fish production in Fishing Port Batulicin tends to increase, the area of Fishing PortBatulicin is strategic, the facilities and infrastructures can be easily accessed, the facilities owned by Fishing Port Batulicin are convenient with Regulation of the Minister of Marine Affairs andFisheries 2012 about Fishery Port along with the location of local market near Fishing PortBatulicin. The weaknesses are: the facilities in Fishing Port Batulicin are less maintained and damaged, the lack of fishery expert, the ships that lean in Fishing Port Batulicin are mostly onlyvisitor, lack of awareness of hygiene, and fishing ground is far from Fishing Port Batulicin. Theopportunities are to build functional facilities like dock and workshop, increa the PAD and createjob fields for people around the harbor. The threats are some facilities in Fishing Port are damaged, illegal fishing, and harbor area that is not used yet( if the condition is left continuously, it is going to experience the abrasion).
