Abstract

Fishing vessel is one element in determining the success of fishing operations. This study aims to determine; (1) the level of technology; (2) the type of wood used, and (3) the stageof development of timber ships in the traditional ship yard. The study was conducted by Survey. Research conducted ship yard Sewangi Barito Kuala district and village Pagaruyung Tanah Bumbu Regency South Kalimantan. The study was conducted in August through October 2013. Results showed that: ( 1 ) The level of technology used in the construction of the ship is still relatively low , the equipment used is still using nonelectronic equipment ie axes, saws, chisels, pegs, hammer, machetes, bacci, measuring instruments, planers. Only the use of an electric drill workmanship. The level oftechnology in the construction of timber ships has not been completed by the calculationof shipping architecture and ship design and construction drawings ; ( 2 ) type of wood used is Ulin wood, Alaban, Bengkirai, Bungur and Meranti which have a high degree of strength and resistant to attack by marine organisms; ( 3 ) Stages of development oftraditional boats to large ships began with the manufacture of the hull, keel assembly tothe deck and transom beam. As for the small boat begins with the manufacture of thevessel tree seedlings. The next stage is good for big ships and small ships are mountingLinggi bow and stern, leather installation vessel up to half the height of the ship,Installation joist left and right, galar installation, installation of ship skin entirely to sheer, sheer installation, flooring installation deck, pemakalan, rig manufacturing of largevessels and final are painting

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the biological parameters of the fish resources Seluang red tail (R. lateristriata) the fish sex ratio parameter (sex ratio) and the parameters of the population dynamics of the growth parameters of fish resources Seluang red tail (R. lateristriata) in the upstream region of the Barito River in South Kalimantan Indonesia. Methods of data collection are done by collecting samples at fish landing sites and fishing operations and held for 2 (two) months with a fixed time interval decision namely1 (one) week. The sex ratio of fish in the analysis by using chi-square analysis of the end.The growth parameters were analyzed fish-Walford Plot method, while theoretically Agefish when a width equal to 0 (t0) was performed using empirical equations Pauly (1984).The expected outcome of this research is the availability of scientific data related to thesex ratio comparison of fish and fish growth parameters Seluang red tail (R. lateristriata)in the upstream region of the Barito River in South Kalimantan. Comparison of the gender (sex ratio) Seluang fish red tail (R. lateristriata) of malesand females in the upstream region of the Barito River in South Kalimantan is 2: 1. Condition population dynamics parameters in the Barito river R. lateristriata South Kalimantan covering the theoretically maximum length parameter ( length infinity/108.15 mm, coefficient of growth (per unit time / K) of 0.350/ year, the parameters of thetheoretical age at the time of a length equal to zero (t0) of -0.14.

Abstract

This study identified the Wire Stage Trap in the waters of Manarap Village, Banjar Regency, which included the performance of the wire stages, the composition and proportions, size distribution, and the productivity of the wire stages. The method used is Purposive Sampling, which is a direct measurement of the field by determining certain criteria related to the dynamics of the wire tempirai fishery. Data analysis used is descriptive. Tempirai used in the waters of Manarap Village is made of wire, has a principle like a trap, which makes it easier for fish to enter and makes it difficult for fish to get out. Tempirai operations are carried out in swamp areas or paddy fields which are flooded with water and there are swamp vegetation, for example purun, thorn wood, water hyacinth and lotus, with catches dominated by swamp Sepat (Trichopodus trichopterus), Siamese Sepat (Trichogaster pectoralis) and Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus)
