Abstract

This research was conducted because of the difficulties of Grade V students of SD Negeri 060936 Medan Johor in Determining Phrases, expressions  and Compound Words. The purpose of this study was to determine the abilities, difficulties and factors causing the students' difficulties in determining phrases, expressions and compound words for the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 060936 Medan Johor. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted in Class V SD Negeri 060936 Medan Johor on 19-20 February 2021. Data collection tools used in this study were multiple choice tests and interviews. Tests are used to determine students' abilities and difficulties, while interviews are used to determine factors that cause student difficulties. Then the data analysis techniques are average and percentage. The population in this study were all fifth grade students of SD Negeri 060936 Medan Johor and also as samples in the study. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that (1) the students' ability to determine phrases, expressions and compound words of grade V SD Negeri 060936 Medan Johor obtained an average of 49.21 and included in the underprivileged criteria. (2) based on the test questions given the difficulties experienced by students are in the phrase, namely with a percentage of 60.71% and it is included in the high difficulty criteria. As for the difficulties experienced by students, namely, not being able to determine the exact meaning and examples of phrases. (3) the factors that cause student difficulties are the lack of motivation and desire of students in learning Indonesian, the difficulty of students determining phrases, expressions and compound words, the teacher's lack of optimism in teaching material and using media when learning and the lack of parental roles in children's learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' difficulties in using EYD, and to find out the contributing factors, this research was carried out in class V SD Negeri 044843 Pertumbungen in 2021/2022. This research uses a qualitative approach and a descriptive type of research. The population and sample of this study were all students of class V SD Negeri 044843 Pertumbungen, totaling 22 people. Based on the results of the analysis of the data obtained, it is known that the ability of students to determine capital letters, italics and bold letters in the Indonesian language subject in class V SD Negeri 044843 Pertumbungen is categorized as underprivileged, because the average of the students is 46.09 and the criteria for students' ability <70 is categorized as underprivileged. Based on the test results, the percentage of students' errors in determining letters in Indonesian subjects can be seen that the most difficult thing for students to determine is determining thickness with a frequency of 19 and a percentage level of 86.36%. The cause of students having difficulty determining letters is because they do not understand or do not understand.Keywords : EYD, Indonesian Lessons, students

Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Talking Stick. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Negeri 104218 Desa Sidomuliyo. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 104218 Desa Sidomuliyo sebanyak 30 orang siswa. Objek penelitian adalah model pembelajaran Talking Stick pada mata pelajaran IPA dengan materi Peristiwa Alam di Indonesia di kelas V SD Negeri 104218 Desa Sidomuliyo Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah lembar Observasi dan Tes.Hasil Penelitian Pada saat siklus I nilai rata-rata siswa 60,60 dan yang tuntas 60,73% setelah dilakukan tindakan yaitu pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan yakni nilai rata-rata menjadi 79,10 dan yang tuntas 96,5% . Kata Kunci : Talking stick, Model, IPA
