Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the presence of bird species in the area of ​​the former coal mine of PT. Pilar Putra Sejati, Loa Bakung Village, Sungai Kunjang District, Samarinda.This research has been carried out for approximately three months starting from May 2021 to September 2021. The method used for observing birds is a direct method using traps or traps in the form of fog nets and traps or snares, where observations are made at six points , as follows; three points on the edge of the dug hole and three points located on trees frequented by birds. At each point, observations were held in the morning at 06.00-08.00 and in the afternoon at 16.00-18.00 WITA.The results of observations at the research location found as many as 9 species of birds from 6 families. Bird species during the study were Lonchura punctulata (Ploceidae family), Passer montanus (Ploceidae family), Streptopelia chinensis (Colombidae family), Giopelia striata (Colombidae family), Arborophila charltonii (Phasianidae family), Phynonotus aurigaster (nis family), Aenicurus family Rallidae), Acridotheres javanicus (family Sturnidae), and Lonchura fuscans (family Ploceidae).

Abstract

The experiment was conducted to know crop type in Sangalaki island in Berau. The experiment was conducted for approximately two month, since on the date of 1 Nopember to 30 Desember 2016. The methods for stocktaking of crop type was directly method that was stocktaking of all crop type residing in Nature Tour Garden area Sangalaki island in Berau with the broadness ± 15,9 Ha.The result of experiment showed that found 41 crop type, they were: Cocos nucifera, Terminalia catappa, Moringa oleifera, Pandanus amaryllifolius, Pandanus tectorius, Calophyllum inophyllum, Canavalia maritima, Derris sp., Pomotia pinnata, Phascolus marinus, Desmodium sp., Pleomclc sp., Dillenia grandifolia, Ficus benjamina, Ficus elastic, Ipomoea pes-caprae, Scaevola sp., Wedelia biflora, Morinda citrifolia, Asplenium nidus L., Barringtonia asiatica, Cassytha filiformis, Spinifex littoreus, Euphorbia atoto, Tournefortia sp., Pandanus amaryllifolius, Polyalthia longifolia, Cyperus rotundus L., Cromolaena sp., Musa sp., Mikania sp., Ocimum basilicum, Crotalaria mucronata, Euphorbia tirucalli L., Euphorbia sp., Scaevola sp., Crynum sp., Cyperus sp., Carica papaya L., Pedilanthus tithymaloidcs an Nephrolepis falcate.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis burung di Hutan Kota Ujung Jembatan Mahakam. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan oleh penulis selama kurang lebih satu bulan terhitung sejak bulan Oktober sampai November 2014. Metode yang digunakan untuk pengamatan terhadap satwa burung adalah metode secara langsung, dimana pengamatan dilakukan pada blok penelitian dengan ukuran 100 m x 100 m. dalam blok ini dibuat jalur-jalur pengamatan dengan panjang 100 meter dan lebar 50 meter. Pada setiap jalur dibuat titik pengamatan dengan jarak 50 meter(± 60 langkah kaki). Pada setiap jalur diadakan pengamatan pagi hari yakni pukul 06.00-09.00 dan sore hari pada pukul 16.00-18.00 WITA. Pengamatan dilakukan di tengah plot dengan mengamati 25 meter ke kanan dan 25 meter ke kiri selama ± 20 menit. Hasil pengamatan dan perhitungan menunjukkan, bahwa pada lokasi penelitian di temukan sebanyak 8 jenis burung dari 6 suku. Jenis burung yang dominan selama penelitian adalah burung Gereja Erasia (Passer montanus), dan Cucak Kutilang (Pynonotus aurigaster).

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui tambak yang terbuka (tidak terdapat tanaman di dalam areal tambak) dan tambak yang tertutup (terdapat tanaman di dalam areal tambak) untuk kelestarian Corocodylus porosus. Waktu pelaksanaan penelitian 45 hari. Adapun tempat pelaksanaan penelitian di Muara Sungai Mahakam, tepatnya di Muara Pantuan. Metode pengamatan dengan secara langsung. Hasil penelitian, menujukan, bahwa Jenis tanaman yang dominan terdapat pada tambak tertutup adalah Nypa fruticans. Tambak tertutup terdapat Crocodylus porosus dan ditemukannya 4 tempat jejak lewat. Tambak terbuka tidak terdapat Crocodylus porosus dan tidak ditemukannya jejak tempat lewat.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of composting on the height increase of Jengkol (Pithecolobium jiringa) puppies after three months of weaning at the Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic Nursery. This study used a completely randomized design, with 4 types of treatment on weaning media and 10 replications. The treatments were N0 (pure sub soil), N1 (75% sub soil + 25% compost), N2 (50% sub soil + 50% compost) and N3 (25% sub soil + 75% compost). Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the height of jengkol (Pithecolobium jiringa) seedlings was treated with different growth media, namely planting media (subsoil) without compost (N0), planting media with a ratio of subsoil and compost compared to 75% : 25% (N1), planting media with a ratio of subsoil and compost 50% : 50% (N2) and planting media with a ratio between subsoil and compost 25% : 75% (N3). that all growing media gave a positive response to the height increase of jengkol (Pithecolobium jiringa) seedlings. Treatment N2 showed greater height gain, but based on the Least Significant Difference Test (LSD) at the 95% confidence level, treatments N1 and N2 were not significantly different.
