Abstract

The aims of this study were to portrait and understand a communication model for farmer community empowerment in the field and development efforts for the success of the farming community in the future. This study use constructivistic qualitative-interpretive paradigm. By understanding the phenomena that occur in the communication process in Lestari Makmur mushroom farmer group, identify important categories and construct as a portrait communication model. Based on the portrait of communication model, researchers tried to find alternative communication model for the future successfully of the farmer groups. This study has found an early model, which describes a communication model of mushroom farmer community empowerment that tend to be authoritarian. The leader of the farmer groups dominate in many things. It has been found two alternative community empowerment communication model: 1) Communication model of farmer community empowerment with the professional assistance, 2) Communication model of farmer community empowerment  with democratic leadership. It was concluded that the communication model of empowerment should be directed at the professional assistance, and for the future sustainability of the group, they are directed at the communication model with democratic leadership. It is important to  suggest to the farmer groups about the substantive of community empowerment, to understand on a mushroom farmer groups that responsibility is not only the cultivation of course, there are still many things to be done as a group of farmers to be more advanced in the future.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian yaitu membantu masyarakat untuk meningkatkan taraf hidup ekonomi masyarakat melalui kegiatan baik secara fisik maupun non fisik ekonomi produktif menggunakan potensi bahan baku pangan lokal, yakni dengan pembuatan keripik singkong. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi metode penyuluhan dan pelatihan. Sasaran program adalah masyarakat wanita tani Dusun Semuluh Kidul, dengan dukungan pemerintah dusun dan masyarakat di Dusun Semuluh Kidul, Desa Ngeposari, Kecamatan Semanu, Kabupaten Gunung Kidul. Program yang dilakukan meliputi : 1) Membentuk kelompok pengrajin olahan hasil pertanian keripik singkong serta memberikan bantuan berupa alat perajang kripik manual dan otomatis, juga alat spinner 2) Menciptakan produk olahan keripik singkong dan 3) Membuka jaringan pasar. Hasil menunjukkan, telah terbentuk kelompok wanita tani (KWT) Keripik Singkong Dusun Semuluh Kidul. Terlaksananya kegiatan penyuluhan cara pembuatan keripik singkong dan kegiatan pelatihan cara membuat keripik singkong aneka rasa. Juga terbentuknya jaringan pasar keripik singkong. Kata Kunci: Ekonomi Produktif, Pangan Lokal, Keripik Singkong.

Abstract

Konsep halal dalam Islam merupakan ketentuan syariah yang selayaknya menjadi bagian dari pola hidup. Gaya hidup halal bisa diartikan sebagai usaha secara berkesinambungan untuk menekankan aspek halal dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Konsep produk halal dan tayib saat ini sudah menjadi bahan kajian pada tingkatan global, karena telah dianggap sebagai acuan alternatif untuk jaminan keamanan, kebersihan dan mutu yang baik. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah: 1) Meningkatkan pemahamam masyarakat tentang gaya hidup halal. 2) Membantu penyiapan label halal bagi pelaku usaha di bidang kuliner. 3) Meningkatkan kesadaran jumlah pelaku kuliner untuk melakukan sertifikasi halal. Metode pelaksanaannya yaitu sosialisasi tentang gaya hidup halal dan UU No. 33 tahun 2014 tentang jaminan produk halal dan ketentuan teknis penerapannya. Program akan diikuti dengan pendampingan untuk melakukan proses sertifikasi halal produk makanan. Pertanyaan seputar gaya hidup halal dan sertifikasi halal diberikan sebelum dan setelah pengabdian. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman tentang gaya hidup halal sebesar 46% dan pemahaman terhadap UU No. 33 tahun 2014 dan sertifikasi halal sebesar 100%. Terdapat 1 orang peserta yang akan mendaftarkan produk kulinernya untuk mendapatkan sertifikat halal. Kesimpulannya adalah program pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat memberikan solusi terhadap permasalahan mitra terkait gaya hidup halal dan proses sertifikasi halal.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh kelompok pengrajin Arang Batok Kelapa Maju Adil Makmur adalah proses produksinya menghasilkan banyak asap yang dapat merusak lingkungan. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan rekayasa teknis untuk mengolah gas buang menjadi cair, yang disebut dengan gas buang cair. Upaya untuk menghasilkan asap cair sudah dimulai. Namun asap cair yang dihasilkan kualitasnya kurang baik karena masih bercampur dengan fly ash. Hal ini menjadi permasalahan yang masih dihadapi oleh perajin arang tempurung kelapa. Untuk tujuan ini, rekayasa teknis telah dilakukan dalam mengolah cairan asap berkualitas rendah menjadi cairan asap berkualitas tinggi untuk meningkatkan pendapatan pengrajin dan mendukung proyek pangan, keamanan lingkungan dan energi terbarukan. Dengan demikian, pemanas kompor gas dipasang di mesin destilasi berkapasitas 80 liter, dan berfungsi normal. Pengaruhnya sangat signifikan, yaitu diperoleh produk sigaret cair berkualitas tinggi (level 1), dan harga jualnya naik sekitar 5 kali lipat. Hal ini sangat bermanfaat bagi masyarakat pengrajin, dan masyarakat sekitar juga sangat senang karena asap yang dihasilkan dari proses pembakaran batok kelapa tidak lagi mencemari lingkungan.

Abstract

The problems faced by coconut shell charcoal craftsmen are production capacity, product quality, and low selling prices. Low product quality is due to the absence of quality standards in the production process. This activity aims to improve the management quality and add value to charcoal products by turning them into briquettes to increase the selling price. Implementing activities is divided into two different problem areas that one partner handles: production problems and management problems (raw material management, production process management, packing, and warehousing management, shipping management, product quality assurance management, and marketing management). The output of this community service activity is that coconut shell charcoal has been produced with an increased quality than before in terms of the low water content of less than 7%. Likewise, the briquettes to those produced are of high quality. There is an increase in added value through processing shell charcoal into briquettes which have significantly increased revenue and profit.

Abstract

Elderly Posyandu provide not only health services to the elderly, but also social, religious, educational, skills, sports, arts, and cultural services, among other things. The difficulties encountered include how to provide advice and implement health protocols during the implementation of the Elderly Posyandu, as well as nutrition education. The primary objective of this program is to raise public awareness about the importance of following health protocols and to improve public health. Empowering the Kusuma Elderly Posyandu, creating health protocol media, and measuring the success of program implementation, monitoring, and evaluation are the three stages of the program implementation method. This program has been well-implemented, with mentoring and improved facilities to support the Kusuma Elderly Posyandu's activities. As a result of this activity, Kusuma's posyandu services for the elderly can now provide more comprehensive, orderly, and in-demand services to the local community, particularly the elderly.

Abstract

Lazismu Sedayu is a service partner who formed the KUBE for the disabled group in Argosari Village. This service will conduct online marketing training and workshops by utilizing digital marketing and social media, as well as training on content creation and product branding targeting all business fields. The program is hoped to continue even though this community service activity has been completed so that disabled groups can be independent. The independence improvement program was carried out in the form of providing counseling on organizational strengthening and administration, obtaining PIRT permits, as well as halal and hygienic food products, while the marketing workshop was in the form of counseling on the use of digital marketing for business actors, and public speaking. The disabled community who participated in this community service activity were enthusiastic about the material presented, as evidenced by the many participants who asked questions and gave responses during the discussion and question and answer sessions. The results of testimonials from several disabled communities said that the material presented was beneficial; the disabled community could upgrade their knowledge and skills, which would help develop their business. The implementation of community service with the topic of increasing the independence of the disabled community went smoothly. The counseling program was very effective in increasing the knowledge of the disabled community. Through this activity, it is hoped that people with disabilities can always be optimistic and productive because their efforts will become widely known by the public through digital marketing strategies.

Abstract

Pengabdian program KKN PPM bertujuan membantu mengembangkan UMKM melalui kegiatan secara fisik maupun non fisik, dalam memperluas pasar ”ingkung ayam”. Metode yang digunakan meliputi: penyuluhan, pelatihan, dan pendampingan. Sasaran program adalah pelaku usaha “ingkung ayam” yang ada didusun Bunder II Desa Banaran. Program yang dilakukan 1) pemberian penyuluhan untuk memotivasi pelaku usaha dan pemberian pengetahuan penggunaan aplikasi media sosial, 2) pelatihan untuk memberikan keterampilan praktis dalam menggunakan aplikasi digital marketing, serta 3) memberikan pendampingan setelah pelatihan dalam implementasi penggunaan teknologi digital marketing untuk keberlanjutan pemasaran secara online. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa penyuluhan motivasi dan pengetahuan media sosial diikuti secara sungguh-sungguh. Pelatihan praktek penggunaan aplikasi media sosial facebook, Instagram dan whatsapp business juga diikuti dengan sungguh-sungguh dari awal sampai akhir. Pendampingan setelah penyuluhan dan pelatihan digital marketing juga diikuti oleh pelaku usaha “ingkung ayam” dengan baik. Pelaku usaha bisa mandiri menggunakan aplikasi facebook, Instagram, dan whatsapp business untuk memasarkan produknya. Disarankan perlu pembinaan setelah pengabdian oleh pemerintah desa agar keberlanjutan pengembangan pasar online yang dilakukan oleh pelaku usaha “ingkung ayam” tetap bisa berjalan dengan baik.
