Abstract

Conventional velocity analysis is usually done in a relatively spare grid, for instance every half kilometers, during the processing of seismic data. It is very laborious work and very subjective. To deliver an accurate velocity picking, processing geophysicists must have a good understanding of geological background of area being analyzed and experiences. Velocity errors often occur during picking. Proper quality control and checking are a must. A good and reliable velocity field is very important in seismic processing for achieving high-quality seismic images as well as for delivering an accurate depth conversion. The new method presented here, was developed to correct velocity errors automatically by means of residual velocity correction, and to produce an offset-dependent RMS velocity field at the same time. The method is data driven, based on the normal move out equation (NMO) and measuring the local even correlation between adjacent traces. The stacking velocity is derived simply by averaging the velocity field. The proposed method was tested on synthetic and real data examples with good result. The velocity field has certain characteristics related to hydrocarbon presence. Supriyono (2011 and 2012) developed a new DHI method using velocity gradient attributes by cross-plotting the velocity versus offset (VVO). The velocity gradient exhibits high anomalous values in the presence of gas.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate the potential of Cassia alata L. leaf extract as an anti-tick agent through molecular docking analysis against the aspartic protease enzyme from Ixodes ricinus (IrCD1). The study aimed to identify natural compounds that could serve as safer alternatives to syn-thetic acaricides for controlling Boophilus microplus, a major ectoparasite affecting cattle. The research utilized an in silico approach, employing molecular docking techniques to assess the binding affinity of 14 secondary metabolites from Cassia alata leaves against IrCD1. The receptor structure (PDB ID: 5N7Q) was obtained from the Protein Data Bank, while ligand structures were sourced from PubChem and KNApSAcK. The docking process was performed using YASARA Structure, with binding free energy (ΔG) and dissociation constant (Kd) values analyzed for ligand-receptor interactions. Addition-ally, the bioavailability of the selected compounds was assessed using Lipinski’s Rule of Five. The results identified four key metabolites—chrobisiamone A, chrysophanol, quercetin, and rhein—as the most promising inhibitors, with binding free energy values lower than the native ligand, pepstatin. Chrobisiamone A demonstrated the strongest interaction with IrCD1, indicating its potential as a potent acaricidal compound. The study also found that these compounds exhibit strong hydrogen bonding and hydrophobic interactions at the receptor’s active site, enhancing their inhibitory potential. In conclu-sion, the findings support the potential development of organic acaricides derived from Cassia alata L. leaves, with chrobisiamone A emerging as a promising candidate. Further in vitro and in vivo studies are needed to validate its efficacy and safety in tick control applications.

Abstract

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of promotion, online customer reviews, and customer rating perception on users' decisions to use the Tokopedia application in Surabaya. The research addresses a gap in previous studies that have not explicitly focused on Tokopedia users in this region. A quantitative research method was employed using a survey approach. Data were collected from 105 Tokopedia users in Surabaya through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software. The results show that all three independent variables, promotion, online customer review, and online customer rating perception, positively and significantly impact the decision to use the Tokopedia application. These findings highlight the importance of digital promotions, credible user reviews, and high user ratings in influencing consumer decisions. Tokopedia is encouraged to optimize its digital marketing and online reputation management strategies to enhance user trust, retention, and competitive advantage in the Indonesian e-commerce market.
