Abstract

This research development aims to find out how the result of developing LKPD based on PBL and its effectiveness to mathematical communication and disposition ability of students. Subjects in this research development is students of class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Pringsewu Academic Year 2016/2017. The research data was obtained through mathematical communication test and mathematical disposition scale of the students. Preliminary study results indicate the need for the development of LKPD based on PBL. Validation results indicate that LKPD has met the content and design feasibility standards. The results of a limited trial show that LKPD is included in either category. The conclusion of this research are (1) improvement of students' mathematical communication and disposition ability following learning using LKPD based on PBL  higher than students who follow conventional learning and, (2) LKPD based on PBL is effective for improving students' mathematical communication skills and mathematical disposition of students. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana hasil mengembangkan LKPD berbasis PBL serta efektifitasnya terhadap kemampuan komunikasi dan disposisi matematis siswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Pringsewu Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes komunikasi matematis dan skala disposisi matematis siswa. Hasil studi pendahuluan menunjukkan adanya kebutuhan dikembangkannya LKPD berbasis PBL. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa LKPD telah memenuhi standar kelayakan isi dan desain. Hasil uji coba terbatas menunjukkan bahwa LKPD termasuk dalam kategori baik. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah (1) peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi dan disposisi matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan LKPD berbasis PBL lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional, dan (2) LKPD berbasis PBL efektif untuk meningkatkan ke­mampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan disposisi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: LKPD PBL, komunikasi matematis, disposisi matematis

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the differences of students understanding of mathematical concepts in cooperative learning model of think talk write (TTW) and numbered heads together (NHT) type with posttest only design. The population of this research was all students of grade 7th of MTs Mathlaul Anwar Gisting, even semester in academic year of 2014/2015. The samples of this research were students of VII.D and VII.E which were taken by purposive random sampling. Based on the result of research, it was gotten the conclusion that the students understanding of mathematical concepts in cooperative learning model of TTW type was higher than students understanding of mathematical concepts in the cooperative learning model of NHT type.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dalam model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think talk write (TTW) dan numbered heads together (NHT) dengan posttest only design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII MTs Mathlaul Anwar Gisting semester genap tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII.D dan kelas VII.E yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dalam model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TTW lebih tinggi daripada pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT.Kata kunci: NHT, pemahaman konsep matematis, TTW
