Abstract

The research aims to know are there or not differences between student who use guided inquiry learning model and student who use structured learning model on thermochemistry at class XI science of SMAN 1 Gerung for academic year 2017/2018. This research is quasi-experimental with deign using nonequivalent control group design. The sample was taken using purposive sampling technique with class XI MIPA 3 as experiment I class and class XI MIPA 2 as experiment II. The writer took the data using instrument which was science process skill test and observation sheets. Hypotheses test using t-test at significances level of 5%. Calculating data using t-test from posttest value between the two class experiment, obtained the value of t-count was 6,10 and t-table is 2,00, while calculating data using t-test from observation value between the two class experiment obtained the value of t-count was 11,27 and t- table is 2,00. It mean that alternative hypothesis (Ha), which told the student teaching use structured inquiry model learning higher than student teaching use guided inquiry model learning on science process skill has been accepted.

Abstract

Besarnya kemampuan tabir surya ditentukan melalui nilai SPF yang menyatakan lamanya kulit seseorang berada dibawah sinar matahari tanpa mengalami sengatan surya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperkirakan nilai SPF dari ekstrak etanol, fraksi n-heksan, fraksi etil asetat dan fraksi air rimpang lengkuas (Alpinia galanga). Ekstrak daun katuk memiliki kandungan metil sinamat yang dapat berkhasiat sebagai tabir surya. Penelitian dilakukan secara in vitro menggunakan metode Spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Absorbansi ekstrak dan fraksi etil asetat diukur pada panjang gelombang sinar UV-B yaitu 290-320 nm. Penentuan nilai SPF didasarkan pada persamaan Mansur. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol dan fraksi air. diperoleh nilai SPF dari ketiga sampel yakni masing-masing sebesar 18,39 untuk yang sampel daun katuk, kemudian fraksi etil asetat sebesar 7,40, dan ekstrak etanol sebesar 9,79. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara ekstrak etanol ekstrak daun katuk. dengan fraksi n-heksan, fraksi etil asetat dan fraksi air. Pada penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa fraksi etil asetat daun katuk. galanga memiliki nilai SPF paling tinggi sehingga berpotensi sebagai tabir surya terhadap proteksi sinar UV-B.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of conceptual understanding and analyze the difficulties faced by class XI Group A students of SMAN 7 Mataram in understanding the concept of buffer solutions. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative. The study was conducted in class XI A3 and XI A4 with a total of 65 students. Data were collected using a Two Tier Multiple Choice (TTMC) test instrument with 17 valid questions. The results of this study are the level of understanding of the chemical concept of buffer solutions of class XI students of SMAN 7 Mataram is 61.1% which is classified as moderate, with the distribution of conceptual understanding being quite a lot of students who understand the concept (43.6%), a few students who have misconceptions (35.0%) and do not understand the concept (21.4%). The conceptual understanding of class XI A3 students in each sub-material of buffer solutions with the highest category being quite a lot of students who understand the concept (58.1%) in the material of the definition of buffer solutions, quite a lot of students who have misconceptions (52.4%) in the material of types and components of buffer solutions, and quite a lot of students who do not understand the concept (45.7%) in the material of differences in buffer solutions. The conceptual understanding of class XI A4 students in each sub-material of buffer solutions with the highest category is quite a lot of students who understand the concept (51.1%) in the material on the definition of buffer solutions, quite a lot of students have misconceptions (43.4%) in the material on the working principles of buffer solutions, and a few students who do not understand the concept (23.5%) in the material on the role of buffer solutions in the human body.
