Abstract

A competence of agricultural extension agents is the quality of each individual agents. The responsibility of each agricultural extension agents in Gunung Toar Subdistrict more than one vilage cause the load of tasks to complete will be heavier, this situation will affect quality and performance of the extension agent. The objectives of this research were: 1) find out  the implementation of extension, 2) analyze the competence level of extension agents and 3) to know the problems in improving the competence of extension agent. The research was conducted in Gunung Toar Subdistrict, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The respondents were the agricultural extension agents in UPTD Plantation Gunung Toar Subdistrict, they were selected by sensus and the amount of them are 5. Colection of the data was done by quisioner list and then analyzed using Likert's Summated Rating (LSR). The results showed that the level of competence of agricultural extension agent from UPTD Plantation Gunung Toar Subdistrict are classified as Competent that can be seen from the sub-variable administrative ability, program planning, program implementation, teaching ability, communication skills, understanding human behavior, the ability to maintain professionalism and evaluation. There are some problem in extension activity in order to improve the competence of agents, The problem are: formal education of agents  is still low, education and training received is still limited, working period of agent is still low, lack of media utilization as the tool of learning, the major lack of extension workforce, where ideally one village is suppose to have one agent. Abstract

PT Madubaru merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi gula tebu dengan kualitas SHS IA. Sering ditemukan kecacatan produk oleh sebab itu perlu dilakukan pengendalian kualitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) untuk mengidentifikasi mode kegagalan, metode Logic Tree Analysis (LTA) untuk menentukan konsekuensi kegagalan akibat mode kegagalan yang ditimbulkan dari failure mode. Lalu metode Statistical Processing Control (SPC) untuk menganalisis kecacatan produk untuk mengetahui apakah kecacatan produk masih dalam batas terkendali atau tidak. Untuk bagian pengendalian kualitas pada bahan baku menggunakan metode Economic Order Quantity, Re-Order Point , Safety Stock, dan Total Inventory Cost. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini mengenai hasil analisis serta perhitungan yang dilakukan dengan beberapa metode penyelesaian serta terdapat beberapa penyebab terjadinya kecacatan produksi dari 5 faktor, seperti: faktor manusia, metode kerja, lingkungan, bahan baku serta mesin yang digunakan. Dan memberikan solusi kepada perusahaan agar dapat mengurangi kecacatan dengan pengendalian kualitas produk.

Abstract

PG Madukismo is a sugar factory that was established in 1955 and is the only sugar factory in the province of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. This factory is located in Padokan Village, Tirtonirmolo Village, Kasihan District, Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. PT Madubaru, a company engaged in sugar cane processing, is a sugar and spirits factory located in the Yogyakarta area. Companies that produce cane sugar with SHS IA quality. Product defects are often found, resulting in a decrease in quality, therefore it is necessary to carry out quality control. This study uses the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method to identify failure modes, Logic Tree Analysis (LTA) to determine the consequences of failure arising from failure modes and determine effective preventive maintenance policies for each machine. For the production quality control section, the Statistical Processing Control (SPC) method is used to analyze product defects to determine whether product defects are still within controllable limits or not. While the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method is used to determine the failure mode in sugar production. For the quality control section on raw materials using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Re-Order Point (ROP), Safety Stock (SS), and Total Inventory Cost (TIC) methods. The conclusion of this study is regarding the results of the analysis and calculations carried out with several settlement methods and there are several causes of production defects from 5 factors, such as: human factors, work methods, environment, raw materials and machines used. And provide solutions to companies in order to reduce defects by controlling product quality.
