Abstract

Abstract:This research aims to increase student achievement on the subject Atomic Structure in class X IPA SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. This research is a kind of experiment research with pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted in SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. The samples of this research were the students of class X IPA 3 as the experimental class and students of class X IPA 4 as the control class. Experimental class is a class that is applied the use of Metode PQRST while the control class was not. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on analysis of data obtained tarithmetic> ttable is 2,8284 > 1,67, means that the use of metode PQRST can improve student achievement on the subject of atomic structure class X IPA SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru, increase learning of 11,2%.Keywords : Learning Achievement, Method PQRST, and Atomic Structure

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research is to improve student’s achievement is comprehend Hidrocarbon topic of the second year students at SMAN 6 Pekanbaru. The writer carried out experimental research was focus by using Randomized Control Group Pretest-Postest. The research was implemented at SMAN 6 Pekanbaru. The sample of this research were XI IPA 2 as an experimental class and XI IPA 3 as a control class. The experimental class applied Discovery Learning method with using Cooperative Accelerated Learning Model. Meanwhile control class applied Discovery Learning method without using Cooperative Accelerated Learning model. The tada analysis technique was test t. Based on the result of data analysis showed that t observed > t table with score 2,7546 > 1,67, it means that implementation of Cooperative Accelerated Learning Model able to improve student’s achievement in comprehend hidrocarbon topic at XI IPA SMAN 6 Pekanbaru with 11,06% of coefficient effect.Keywords : Accelerated Learning, Learning Achievement, and Hidrocarbon

Abstract

Abstract:The research was conducted in Senior High School 12 Pekanbaru. This research aims to increase student achievementon the subject ofreaction rateinclassXISenior High School 12Pekanbaru.  This research is a kind of experiment researchwith pretest-posttest design. The sample consists of two classeswhich were decided randomly after doing normality and homogenity test.Experimental class is a class that is applied active learning strategy Learning Tournament, while the control class was not. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on analysis of data obtained tarithmetic> ttable is 1,78> 1,67, means that the application of active learning strategy Learning Tournament can improve student achievement on the subject of reaction rate in class XI Senior High School 12Pekanbaru where the effect of an increase is 5,53%. Abstract

Abstract : This study aimed to determine the quality of odd semester exam chemistry lesson for class XI IPA SMAN 10 Pekanbaru in academic year 2013/2014 viewed from relevance of indicator item and distribution of the cognitive taxonomy Bloom, level of difficulty, discrimination index, distracter effectiveness, test item validity, reliability. This research is descriptive ex post facto. Population includes all students in grade XI IPA SMAN 10 as 177 students. Sample consisted 96 students from 27% upper group and 27% lower group. The result from relevance item of indicator showed that from 40 test items there were 97,5% relevance to the test indicator and 2,5% were not relevance to the test indicator. The result from distribution of the cognitive taxonomy Bloom there was comparison C1:C2:C3:C4:C5:C6 is 15%:45%:40%:0%:0%:0% respectively. The result of analysis from level of difficulty there was 12,5% easy test item, 82,5% was medium and 5% was difficult. Furthermore the discrimination index there was 2,5% so bad test item discrimination, 15% bad discrimination, 32,5% medium discrimination, and 50% good discrimination. Viewed from the distracter effectiveness 42,5% had good function and 57,5% could not do their function well. Analysis of test item validity there were 85% valid and 15% were not valid. Reliability of the test was r11 = 0,86. Based on the result of this test can be said to have a low quality with classification readmission items obtained 27,5% items received, 70% repaired, and 2,5% rejected.
