Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of Shift-Left Testing within the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and its implications for testing time efficiency and software quality in the Ruang Murid application. A quantitative case study design was applied using testing records, observation, documentation, and questionnaire data collected from the development team, including Software Quality Assurance staff, developers, and the project manager. Data were analysed using SPSS through validity and reliability testing, multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and coefficient of determination analysis. The results show that after the adoption of Shift-Left Testing, the number of detected bugs increased by 54.39%, indicating broader and earlier defect discovery during the development cycle rather than a decline in product quality. Bug rate rose from 1.9 to 2.9 bugs per KLOC, while defect rate increased from 4.2% to 7.1%, both of which remained within acceptable quality thresholds. In addition, defect leakage was recorded at 10.37%, test coverage and test execution rate each reached 100%, and the test case pass rate was 50.51%. These findings suggest that the earlier involvement of the SQA team improved defect visibility, expanded testing coverage, and strengthened quality control across development stages, although further improvements are still needed to increase pass stability and overall testing confidence.

Abstract

The development of information technology is driving digitalization in various sectors, including the repair shop industry. Digitalization can improve efficiency, record-keeping accuracy, and service speed. However, many small to medium-sized repair shops still use manual systems, such as the Betawi Motor Service (BMS) workshop in Jatiasih, which records transactions, stock, and financial reports separately using Microsoft Excel. This method causes problems such as input errors, data duplication, difficulty monitoring stock in real time, and inaccurate financial reports. To overcome these obstacles, this study aims to design and build a website-based business information system using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. The RAD method was chosen because it supports rapid and iterative development through the stages of requirements planning, design, development, and implementation. The system has three types of users: admin, manager, and employee, with different access rights. The results of Black Box Testing and User Acceptance Testing indicate that all features function well. This system can be accessed through https://bengkelbms.zya.me and helps digitize the BMS Workshop's operations.

Abstract

Penerapan program IPTEKS pada kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat untuk siswa Yayasan Karang Widya, Cianjur berlokasi di Kampung Rawabenceuh, Desa Kawungluwuk, Kec. Sukaresmi, Kab. This study presents the implementation of the IPTEKS program as part of community service activities for students of the Karang Widya Foundation in Cianjur, West Java. The program, conducted in Kampung Rawabenceuh, Kawungluwuk Village, Sukaresmi District, aims to empower economically disadvantaged and vulnerable youth aged 15–25 years through a 100-day residential organic farming training initiative. Participants are recruited from various regions across Indonesia. During the first semester of the inaugural year, the program successfully applied the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach to train and graduate 41 students. The training included the introduction and practical application of word processing software, specifically Microsoft Word Basic, equipping participants with essential digital literacy skills to support employment opportunities and entrepreneurial activities.
