Abstract

Treating gaharu (Aquilaria microcarpa) seedlings with inorganic fertilizers is essential to obtain vigorous seeds with high adaptability for establishment on the field. The aims of this research were to find out the effect of fertilization on the survival and growth rate of Aquilaria microcarpa seedlings and to identify appropriate dosage of fertilizer that could increase the growth optimally. Complete Random Design was employed with two treatments i.e. using root fertilizer (Urea, TSP, KCL) with 5 dosage levels and using leaf fertilizer (Gandasil D and Bayfolan) with 7 dosage levels. Data was analyzed by using statistic descriptive and analysis of variance (ANOVA) method. The parameters used were seedling survival rate, height increase and number of leaves. The result showed that the two fertilizers could increase survival rate of the seedling. However, higher dosage of root fertilizer was followed by lower survival rate. The treatment using root fertilizer had a significant effect on the number of leaves, whereas treatment using leaf fertilizer had a significant effect on the increase of the seedling height. Adding leaf fertilizer is considered more useful in terms of survival and growth rate.

Abstract

The research was conducted to understand seed germination and seedling growth of Artocarpus altissimus. The experimental design used was completely randomized with 2 factors, i.e. seed storability and media factors for the response capacity of germination, media and NPK fertilizer factors for seedling growth response (height and number of leaves). The result showed that A. altissimus seeds had long enough storability/ potential age without a period of dormancy. Storability, media and interaction both showed very significant effect on the germination capacity with the highest mean value on the storability category of 3 and 1 month and media category of compost and sand. On variable of seedlings height, NPK fertilizer showed significant effect, media and interaction of media and NPK had very significant effect with the best factor category was a media category of TSKn (soil, chaff and manure).

Abstract

Abstract

Heritiera javanica is a timber tree species and their natural regeneration is scanty, thus propagation of this species is urgently required. This research was aimed to identify the effect of shade intensity and growth media on the survival rate and growth of seedlings. Experi- mental design used was completely randomized with two factors, namely the shade intensity and the media that consisted of several cate- gories. Parameters measured were survival rate and seedlings growth; height, number of leaves, and number of roots. Survival rate was analyzed using descriptive statistics. Seedlings growth (height, number of leaves, and number of roots) were estimated by using analysis of variance. Results showed that treatments using categories of several media categories that were placed in the shade of 25%, 50%, and 85% had a high survival rate. In addition, seedlings that were placed in 50% shade grew better and optimally. Media of TK (soil + compost), TS (soil + chaff), and TSPk (soil + manure + chaff) that were placed on the 50% shade showed the best result to height of seedlings growth. Reintroduction needs to be done for the enrichment of H. javanica populations in nature.

Abstract

This research aims to find out whether competence and motivation influence employee performance at BKPSDM Bandung City. The independent variables are competence and motivation, and the dependent variable is employee performance. This type of research is included in quantitative research. The research methods used are descriptive and verification methods. The population in this research is employees at BKPSDM Bandung City, totaling 103 people. The sampling technique is probability sampling using simple random sampling, while to calculate the number of samples using the Slovin formula with a significance level of 5%, so the total sample is 82 employees at BKPSDM Bandung City. The data analysis used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS software. Partial and simultaneous research results show that competence and motivation influence employee performance at BKPSDM Bandung City. The magnitude of the influence of competence and motivation on employee performance is 62.5%.

Abstract

Every organization can be distinguished from other organizations by a distinctive feature as the identity of the organization. This characteristic is known as organizational culture. Organizational culture is based on correlations that are valued and have norms, ways of behaving and beliefs that characterize individuals or groups that can solve problems. In addition to organizational culture, the authors explained above that there are quality human resources that have an influence on organizational performance, namely organizational commitment. employees who have a commitment to the organization gain the ability to improve performance either individually, in groups or in the organization. This study aims to determine the influence of organizational culture and organizational commitment on employee job satisfaction at the General Section of Regional Secretariat of Cimahi City. The method used in this research is quantitative with a population and sample of all employees at the General Section of Regional Secretariat of Cimahi City with a total of 37 people. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis. The results obtained in this study F test results obtained calculated F value of 10.134 with a significance of 0.000 <0.006 has a positive value so that it can be said that the pattern of relationship between organizational culture and organizational commitment to employee job satisfaction is unidirectional so that organizational culture and organizational commitment have a relationship significant effect on job satisfaction in the General Section of Cimahi Regional Secretariat.

Abstract

Manusia sebagai makhluk sosial memiliki naluri untuk bersosialisasi, bekerja sama, dan membutuhkan keberadaan manusia lain. Organisasi menjadi wadah yang penting untuk memfasilitasi interaksi sosial dan kerja sama di antara individu-individu. Dalam sebuah organisasi, terdapat kelompok orang yang bekerja sama dengan adanya pemimpin yang bertanggung jawab dalam mengarahkan bawahannya menuju pencapaian tujuan bersama. Setiap organisasi memiliki ciri khas yang membedakannya dari organisasi lain, dan ciri khas tersebut dikenal sebagai budaya organisasi. Budaya organisasi merupakan identitas yang membentuk pola pikir, nilai-nilai, dan perilaku yang ada di dalam organisasi. Budaya organisasi memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam mempengaruhi kinerja pegawai. Melalui lingkungan kerja yang kaya dengan nilai-nilai budaya yang positif, organisasi dapat memotivasi pegawainya untuk memberikan pelayanan terbaik dan memanfaatkan kesempatan yang diberikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja pegawai di lingkungan Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan asosiatif. Teknik analisis statistik digunakan, termasuk analisis regresi, korelasi, determinasi, dan uji hipotesis. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 100 karyawan Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kota Cimahi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya organisasi memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Persamaan regresi menunjukkan bahwa kinerja karyawan (Y) dapat dijelaskan oleh budaya organisasi (X), dengan persamaan regresi Y = 5,799 + 0,908X. Selain itu, nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,931 menunjukkan hubungan yang kuat antara budaya organisasi dan kinerja karyawan, dengan tingkat determinasi sebesar 86,8%. Uji hipotesis juga menunjukkan signifikansi sebesar 0,000 0,05. Dalam kesimpulannya, penelitian ini mengonfirmasi bahwa budaya organisasi memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai di lingkungan Dinas Lingkungan Hidup.
