Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the magnitude of the direct and indirect influence of the effectiveness of organizational culture, laboratory assistant problem-solving ability, and Motivation on laboratory assistant performance. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey design. The population of lecturers was 608 and laboratory assistants 15, while the sample of lecturers 132 and laboratory assistants 15 were taken by purposive sampling. Data was collected through a Likert scale questionnaire, which was then analyzed using path analysis. The study's results showed that: 1) organizational culture directly affects laboratory assistant performance. This can be seen from the significance value of 0.000 <0.05. In addition, the t_count value = 11.254 > t_table = 1.970; 2) laboratory assistant problem-solving ability directly affects laboratory assistant performance. This can be seen from the significance value of 0.045 <0.05. In addition, the t_count value = 2.224 > t_table = 1.970; 3) The laboratory assistant's Motivation directly affects the laboratory assistant's performance. This can be seen from the significance value of 0.034 <0.05. In addition, the t_count value = 2.366 > t_table = 1.970; 4) Organizational Culture and the laboratory assistant's problem-solving ability simultaneously affect the laboratory assistant's performance. This can be seen from the significance of 0.031 <0.05; 5) There is a simultaneous influence of Organizational Culture and Motivation on the performance of the laboratory assistant, this can be seen from the significance value of 0.023 <0.05; 6) There is no simultaneous influence of the problem-solving ability of the laboratory assistant and Motivation on the performance of the laboratory assistant, this can be seen from the significance value of 0.116 > 0.05; 7) the problem-solving ability of the laboratory assistant has a direct effect on the work motivation of the laboratory assistant, this can be seen from the significance value of 0.000 <0.05. In addition, the t_count value = 10.595 > t_table = 1.970; 8) Organizational Culture does not have a positive effect on Motivation. This can be seen from the significance value of 0.252 > 0.05. In addition, the t_count value = -1.199 < t_table = 1.970; 9) There is a simultaneous influence of Organizational Culture and the problem-solving ability of laboratory assistants on Motivation, this can be seen from the significance of 0.00 < 0.05; 10) There is a simultaneous influence of Organizational Culture, problem-solving ability of laboratory assistants and Motivation on Laboratory Assistant Performance. This can be seen from the significance of 0.050 = 0.05.These results provide the conclusion that organizational culture, laboratory assistant problem-solving ability and Motivation have a direct and simultaneous effect on laboratory assistant performance.

Abstract

This study aims to see and discuss the direct and indirect effects between variables of emotional intelligence, knowledge management and achievement motivation on the creativity of government agency administrators in Jambi Province, either partially or simultaneously. The research was conducted using a quantitative research method with a survey method carried out in district/city governments in Jambi Province. The unit of analysis is administrator officials who have attended level III leadership education and training in Jambi Province, a population of 601 people and the sample in this study was determined by the total sampling technique considering the number of respondents from the three regions was only 126 people. The hypotheses in this study are: emotional intelligence, knowledge management and achievement motivation have a direct and indirect positive effect either partially or simultaneously on the creativity of administrator officials. Hypothesis testing using path analysis, with a significance level of 5 percent alpha (α = 0.05). This study concludes: that overall there is a positive and significant influence between the variables of emotional intelligence, knowledge management and achievement motivation on the creativity of administrator officials, either partially or simultaneously. The implication of this research is that it is something beyond which is not revealed in this study but can make a better contribution to increasing creativity. In the creativity variable, researchers found indicators of managing change and commitment to change. In the variable of emotional intelligence found indicators of self-development, self-development of others, self-control and patient and tenacious attitudes can increase creativity. In the knowledge management variable found indicators of conflict management, performance management and decision making can increase creativity. Meanwhile, the achievement motivation variable was found to build integrity, strong determination and result orientation to increase creativity.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of the Jambi Regional Police in enforcing criminal law in the digital era, particularly in addressing online gambling offences, from the perspective of Islamic law. The rapid development of information technology has transformed crime from physical spaces into cyberspace, characterised by anonymity, speed, and transnational reach, thereby requiring adaptive law enforcement strategies. This research adopts a qualitative juridical-empirical approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with law enforcement officers at the Jambi Regional Police, analysis of case documents, and examination of relevant legal frameworks, particularly Indonesia’s Electronic Information and Transactions Law (ITE Law). The findings reveal that the Jambi Regional Police have implemented several strategic measures in combating digital crimes, including cyber patrols, digital forensic investigations, seizure of electronic evidence, and inter-agency coordination. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of law enforcement remains constrained by technological limitations, complex digital evidence requirements, the transnational nature of cybercrime, and limited public digital legal awareness. From an Islamic law perspective, police actions against online gambling align with the objectives of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah, particularly the protection of religion (ḥifẓ al-dīn), property (ḥifẓ al-māl), and intellect (ḥifẓ al-‘aql). This study concludes that while digital criminal law enforcement by the Jambi Regional Police is fundamentally appropriate, it requires strengthened institutional capacity, integration of Islamic legal values, and adaptive policy reforms to enhance effectiveness and substantive justice.

Abstract

ENGLISH: Professionalism of Islamic Education Teachers in Improving the Character of Senior High School StudentsObjective: This study aims to analyse the professionalism of Islamic education teachers in improving student character at SMA Negeri 1 Kota Jambi. Method: This study used a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included the school principal, Islamic education teachers, and students. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive analysis model by Miles and Huberman. Results: The social competence of Islamic education teachers significantly influences the formation of students' character. Islamic education teachers possess practical teaching skills, good communication abilities, and the capacity to guide students spiritually, morally, and socially. Conclusion: The professionalism of Islamic education teachers plays an important role in shaping students' character, which requires consistent efforts from teachers, not only in classroom learning but also in the development of moral and spiritual values. Contribution: This study identifies the challenges faced by Islamic education teachers, which can be used as a basis for the development of character education policies in schools, as well as providing practical recommendations for improving the quality of character education at the secondary school level.INDONESIAN: Profesionalisme Guru Pendidikan Agama Islam Dalam Meningkatkan Karakter Siswa Sekolah Menengah AtasTujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis profesionalisme guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam meningkatkan karakter siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Kota Jambi. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari kepala sekolah, guru PAI, dan siswa. Analisis data dilakukan dengan model analisis interaktif dari Miles dan Huberman. Hasil: Kompetensi sosial guru PAI sangat berpengaruh dalam membentuk karakter siswa. Guru PAI memiliki kemampuan mengajar yang efektif, komunikasi yang baik, serta kemampuan dalam membimbing siswa dalam aspek spiritual, moral, dan sosial. Kesimpulan: Profesionalisme guru PAI berperan penting dalam membentuk karakter siswa, yang memerlukan upaya konsisten dari guru, tidak hanya dalam pembelajaran di kelas, tetapi juga dalam pengembangan nilai moral dan spiritual. Kontribusi: Penelitian mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi oleh guru PAI, yang dapat dijadikan dasar dalam pengembangan kebijakan pendidikan karakter di sekolah-sekolah, serta memberikan rekomendasi yang bermanfaat bagi peningkatan kualitas pendidikan karakter di tingkat sekolah menengah.

Abstract

This study uses an integrated analysis of positive law and Islamic law at Polres Bungo to investigate the reconstruction of sanctions for juvenile offenders during the investigation stage. Empirical trends suggest a procedural and administrative orientation that may restrict substantive rehabilitation, even though Undang-Undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2012 tentang Sistem Peradilan Pidana Anak (Juvenile Criminal Justice System Act) formally adopts restorative justice, diversion, and the best interests of the child as guiding principles. Using a multidisciplinary approach that integrates statutory, theological-normative (shar‘i), and historical considerations, this study uses a normative qualitative design based on library research. The theoretical framework incorporates maqāṣid al-sharīʿah as a normative evaluation instrument, legal effectiveness theory, and punishment theories. The findings reveal a conceptual convergence between Indonesian positive law and Islamic criminal jurisprudence in differentiating criminal responsibility based on maturity and prioritizing rehabilitation over retribution. There are still differences, nevertheless, when it comes to age criteria and the classification of sanctions: Islamic law places more emphasis on moral and biological maturity (baligh and tamyīz), whereas positive law focuses on strict legislative boundaries. The predominance of formal legality over psychosocial assessment at the investigative level runs the risk of undermining rehabilitative goals. In order to maintain proportionality and child protection, this study suggests a reconstructive paradigm that operationalizes maqāṣid-based principles, combines thorough psychological evaluation, and improves diversion measures. In addition to realistically advancing the creation of a more equitable, rehabilitative, and child-centered investigative framework, the research theoretically advances the conversation about harmonizing state and Islamic law.

Abstract

Domestic violence (DV) remains a complex legal and social problem, threatening family stability and human dignity. Although Law No. 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence provides strict sanctions, conventional punishment methods are often considered ineffective in restoring damaged social relationships within families. This study examines the implementation of restorative justice in resolving domestic violence cases within the Bungo Police jurisdiction, from the perspective of positive law and Islamic law. This study uses an empirical legal approach and a sociological perspective, with primary data collected through interviews with investigators from the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA), as well as secondary data from laws, police regulations, and related academic literature. The results show that restorative justice has been applied to several domestic violence cases during the investigation stage through mediation and peace agreements between the parties involved. This method helps reduce the backlog of cases, accelerates dispute resolution, and maintains family social stability. However, challenges remain, such as the possibility of re-victimization due to the imbalance of power between victims and perpetrators. From an Islamic legal perspective, restorative justice is in line with the principles of ta'zīr and maqāṣid al-sharī'ah, especially the preservation of human dignity, life and offspring. By guaranteeing the protection of victims and preventing repeated violence, restorative justice can be an additional mechanism in cases of domestic violence.
