Abstract

Learning chemistry require laboratory work to support good teaching and learning process. SMA Muhammadiyah plus Salatiga is the limited number of laboratory and chemicals are available resulting in chemistry learning process is not managed well. Critical thinking skills are underdeveloped learners and learning outcomes prior to remedial classes is low. Green chemistry approach oriented constructivism is one of the alternatives used in solving chemistry problems learning process in SMA Muhammadiyah Plus Salatiga. This approach uses nature as a learning medium. Conservation efforts in the field of education. This study aims to improve critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. This study uses a class action research consisting of three cycles .. The results showed a significant difference to the cognitive learning and critical thinking skills in each cycle. Completeness average for cognitive learning outcomes in each cycle reaches 70%, 82% and 88%. Critical thinking skills were observed through the activities of students in the class average for each cycle is 90. More than 75% of students responded positively to the learning chemistry with green chemistry oriented constructivism approach. Learners become actively involved in the learning process and have high initiative in developing the subject in class.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis secara deskriptif kompetensi profesional mahasiswa calon guru matematika.  Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Untuk mencapai tujuan di atas, penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Informasi dikumpulkan dengan: (1) wawancara, (2) dokumentasi, dan (3) observasi. Penetapan sumber informasi dimulai dari informan kunci dan dilanjutkan dengan informan lain secara snowball. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan: (1) reduksi data, (2) penyajian data, dan (3) pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi profesional mahasiswa calon guru berada pada kategori sedang. Dari hasil penelitian ini, saran-saran yang ajukan diantaranya: (1) perlunya perbaikan sistem microteaching di UNIMUS terutama pada raw dan instrumental input (2) untuk meningkatkan keterampilan profesional mahasiswa calon guru maka diperlukan adanya kegiatan microteaching bersiklus yang disesuaikan dengan alokasi waktu real di sekolah mitra.

Abstract

Kunci utama tinggi rendahnya kualitas pendidikan terletak pada guru dan calon guru.Tugas guru pada kompetensi pedagogik, yaitu mampu mengelola pembelajaran dengan baik.Secara umum, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kompetensi pedagogik guru.Secara khusus, bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan kompetensi pedagogik guru dan calon guru kimia di SMA Muhammadiyah Semarang.Metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif denganteknik pengambilan data melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan antara kompetensi pedagogik guru dan calon guru kimia. Kata Kunci: kompetensi pedagogik

Abstract

The laboratory is a place to conduct practicum activities, research, new technologies that support the learning and teaching process for services to the community. The science-learning process emphasizes the provision of hands-on experience to develop competencies to explore and understand the natural surroundings scientifically. Science as a scientific process means that acquiring knowledge of the universe requires a process to be lived. This study aims to determine the effect of laboratory conditions on the science process skills of SMA Negeri 11 Semarang students. This research was conducted at state high school 11 Semarang by using approach of skin research. Technique of data collecting by using data triangulation method that is observation, interview and questionnaire (questionnaire). The subjects of this study are laboratory managers, teachers, and students of class XII MIPA 5 and XII MIPA 6 SMA Negeri 11 Semarang academic year 2016/2017. Abstract

This research is classroom action research carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of action planning stages, action implementation, observation/data collection and reflection. The research subjects were students in class XII-5 of SMA Negeri 4 Semarang for the 2024/2025 academic year. This research aims to increase student motivation and learning achievement in chemistry subjects on the concept of Electrochemical Cells. To achieve this goal, researchers applied the Project Based Learning learning model by creating a simple experimental or practicum project. The instruments used in this classroom action research are learning motivation questionnaires, video documentation and cognitive tests. The research results show that the average percentage of student learning motivation in the pre-cycle was 64.8%, then in cycle 1 it increased to 91% and cycle 2 to 95.6%. Meanwhile, the data on student learning achievement after taking action by applying the Project Based Learning model in cycle 1, the average was 83, then in cycle 2 it became 76. The chemistry learning achievement of these students experienced a decline due to several reasons, namely in cycle 2 the material discussed are Electrolysis Cells and Faraday's Law, where the content is more complex and students do not fully understand the prerequisite material.

Abstract

Coffee was a high-value plantation commodity in Indonesia, contributing significantly to farmers' income and the national economy. However, increased coffee production also generated coffee skin waste that was often discarded, creating challenges in organic waste management. This study aimed to process coffee skin waste into eco-enzyme through fermentation process, which could be utilised as organic fertiliser and natural cleaner. For four months, organoleptic observations were made on the eco-enzyme produced, including, colour, pH, volume, and texture. Results showed that the colour of the solution transitioned from light brown to dark brown. pH decreased from 7 to 4 as microbial activity increased. The volume of the solution decreased from 500 mL to 240 mL due to gas release during fermentation. These findings suggested that processing coffee skin waste not only reduced environmental pollution but also increased the economic value of coffee industry by-products. This study provided insight into the potential for sustainable utilisation of coffee waste and supported environmentally friendly agricultural practices.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low motivation and learning achievement of students in class XII-3 SMA N 4 Semarang known from the observation results. The research objectives are to (1) Know the increase in learning motivation of XII grade students in Electrochemistry material using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model, (2) Know the increase in learning achievement of XII grade students in Electrochemistry material using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. This research is a type of classroom action research with a model developed by Kemmis and Mc.Taggart. Data analysis techniques using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The application of the PjBL learning model can increase student learning motivation. This is indicated by the results of questionnaire data in Cycle I obtained 80.77% and Cycle II amounted to 90% which shows an increase in learning motivation by 9.23%. The application of the PjBL learning model can also improve student learning achievement as shown by the average pretest and post test scores in Cycle I of 60.31 and 87.53 while Cycle II was 83.72 and 97.78. This shows that there is an increase in student learning achievement. Student learning achievement has achieved success indicated by the number of students who have achieved KKTP as much as 81% in Cycle I and Cycle II as much as 100%.

Abstract

The education reform of the 21st century has led to changes in the learning process, both in models and approaches. One such change is the integration of project-based learning with STEAM, which has been widely implemented across various fields of study and has proven effective in enhancing 21st-century skills. This study aims to explore STEAM-integrated projects that can improve the creative thinking skills of students in Indonesia. The research method used is a bibliometric review. Data were obtained from the Scopus and Google Scholar databases. A total of 107 relevant articles were found using the selected keywords. The results showed that 6 articles discussed the research topic in Indonesia. It was proven that STEAM project-based learning can enhance creative thinking skills through themes related to environmental issues. However, further implementation is needed to make students more flexible in developing project ideas.
