Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to 1) To know the description of students' career self-efficacy before being given an insight into careers information services. 2) To know the process of providing information services on the insight of career to career self-efficacy. 3) To know the description of career self-efficacy after the given service insightful information about a career. 4) To determine differences in students' career self-efficacy before and after services insightful information about a career. 5) To determine the influence of information services on career insight to the students' career self-efficacy. Data collection tools in the form of career self-efficacy scale. The subjects were students of class X SMK 4 Pekanbaru, amounting to 213 people. Determination of the sample by using simple random sampling and sample in this study were 107 people. Overview of career self-efficacy before being given the information services that are in the category of being at 87,85%, higher categories by 6,54% and amounted to 5,61% lower categories. Overview of career self-efficacy after being given information service is at a high of 75,71% category, the category is very high at 14,95% and amounted to 9,34% medium category. Based on the results of the calculation of the correlation coefficient between and amounted to 0,61 and determinant coefficient = 0,37 this means that the contribution of information services to the career self-efficacy by 37%. It can be seen greater than (22 > 1,960) so that Ha is accepted. Means that there is an influence on self-efficacy information services career class X SMK 4 Pekanbaru TA. 2014/2015. Abstract

Abstract :The title of this research is ‘’ Effect of Group guidance towards the enhancement of low self esteem  of First – Year local track students of Academic Year 2014/2015 at SMAN 4 Pekanbaru’’. The purposes of this research were 1) to know the description of local track students’ self esteem before given group guidance service, 2) to know the dynamic description of the group guidance implementation in order to enchacement of low self esteem’ , 3) to know the description of students’ low self esteem enhancement  after given group guidance service, 4) to know how much the difference of local track students’ low self esteem enhancement before and after given group guidance service is,  5) to know how much the influence of group guidance towards the enhacement of local track students’low self esteem is.  The instrument used in this research was  scale self esteem iventori (sei). The subjects of this research were 29 first – year local track students of academic year 2014/2015 at SMAN 4 Pekanbaru. The sample of this research was 29 students and they were selected by purposive sampling. The description of self esteem before given group guidance was in low category (100%), medium category (0%), and high category (0%). The description of local track students’ self esteem enhacement after given group guidance was in lowcategory (0%), medium category (100%), and high category (0%). Based on the result of the calculation of the correlation coefficient between X1 and X2 was 0,46 and the determination coefficient (r2) was 0,21. This means that the contribution of group guidance  towards the enhacement of low self esteem was 21%. Therefore, it can be known that ttest was bigger than ttable, (12,6 > 2,021) so that Ha was accepted . So, it means that there was influence of group guidance towards the enhancement of  low self esteem  of first – year local track students of academic year 2014/2015 at SMAN 4 Pekanbaru. Abstract

Abstract: The study is aimed at: 1) finding out problems experienced by the male students of Teknologi Vocational High School of Siak Hulu Sub District dealing with personality, emotional, learning, familial and social aspects; 2) finding out problems experienced by the female students of Teknologi Vocational High School of Siak Hulu Sub District dealing with personality, emotional, learning, familial and social aspects; 3) finding out problems experienced by the male and female students of Teknologi Vocational High School of Siak Hulu Sub District dealing with personality, emotional, learning, familial and social aspects. The data were collected by using questionnaire. The subjects of the research are 200 students of Teknologi Vocational High School of Siak Hulu Sub District in 2015. The sampling technique is the total one. It means that the entire population were taken as sample, therefore there are 200 samples in the research. The research results showed that the problems experienced by the male and female students of Teknologi Vocational High School of Siak Hulu Sub District are generally categorized moderate that is amounted to 56%. Then, 44% of them are categorized low and 0% is high. The problem factors of male and female students can be generally seen from the results of students’ answers to the questionnaire of which their highest score are about item no.6 namely most of them felt that they are the best in the class.Keywords: problems
