Abstract

Laundry is a service that is growing very fast. The demands for laundry services in urban areas are very high since its start to become daily necessity. Currently, laundry services are still limited to manual services, where consumers will come directly or contact a laundry employee to pick up. It requires a process and time which is considered quite complicated. Other problems that arise are related to bookkeeping and the possibility of missing data from consumer orders because there is no real time order data. Researchers conducted research with the aim of designing an IoT-based laundry service ordering tool that utilizes Wemos D1 mini, so that order data can be sent in real time to Telegram. The research was conducted by taking a case study "Pratama Laundry" by taking data from consumers who ordered via touch sensor or google voice to be sent to Telegram.

Abstract

This study employs a qualitative research approach to explore the social construction of participation by the Dayak Deah indigenous community in the oversight of village fund management in Pengelak Village, Upau Sub-District, Tabalong Regency. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions with key informants. The findings reveal that participation by the Dayak Deah community is deeply rooted in cultural values and local identity, reflecting a strong sense of collective responsibility for environmental stewardship and community development. Traditional practices such as gotong royong (cooperation) are central in shaping their involvement. Participation is influenced by three interrelated dimensions: cultural and communal values, which reflect indigenous norms and shared heritage; social and institutional structures, particularly the role of traditional leadership and customary institutions; and communication and knowledge systems, including interaction patterns, access to information, and levels of education. Additionally, historical experiences with governance, development interventions, and resource management shape the community’s trust in participatory mechanisms. In conclusion, the Dayak Deah indigenous community's participation in village fund supervision results from a complex interplay of cultural traditions, institutional arrangements, communication practices, educational factors, and historical context. Understanding these socially constructed dimensions is essential for developing inclusive and sustainable strategies to strengthen community-based governance.

Abstract

The prevalence of child labor in Banjarmasin has significantly disrupted established interpretations of hadhanah under Islamic family law, exposing a complex intersection of doctrinal mandates, cultural expectations, and economic hardship. This study explored the extent to which child labor reconfigures custodial responsibilities and how local moral governance informs the ethical realignment of hadhanah within Banjarmasin’s socio-legal framework. Fieldwork was carried out in both urban and peri-urban settings across Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, Indonesia, where child labor is not only widespread but often socially legitimized. Employing a qualitative methodology, the research gathered data through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document review conducted between March and July 2025. Participants included working children, their families, religious authorities, community leaders, and judges from Islamic family courts. Data were interpreted using Creswell’s tripartite process of reduction, display, and verification. The findings demonstrate that economic pressures have redefined hadhanah, positioning children as economic actors in contexts traditionally defined by adult custodianship. In response, local actors mobilized culturally embedded ethical frameworks and religious values to resolve custody-related tensions, often compensating for inadequate formal legal interventions. The study concludes that hadhanah is undergoing a locally negotiated transformation, revealing the dynamic adaptability of Islamic legal norms and highlighting the potential for incorporating community-based ethics into state custodial practices.
