Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penguasaan materi dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa setelah mengikuti perkuliahan Kimia Lingkungan berbasis masalah untuk materi pencemaran udara. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia di salah satu universitas di Semarang untuk mata kuliah Kimia Lingkungan pada semester genap tahun 2010-2011. Mahasiswa rombel 1 (20 orang) untuk kelas eksperimen diberi perkuliahan dengan pendekatan berbasis masalah. Rombel 2 (23 orang) untuk kelas kontrol diberi perkuliahan seperti yang biasa dilakukan selama ini. Data yang terkumpul selanjutnya dilakukan analisis secara deskriptif. Has ii penelitian menunjukkan N-gain penguasaan materi pencemaran udara mahasiswa kelompok eksperimen adalah sedang, demikian pula untuk kelompok kontrol. N-gain keterampilan berpikir kreatif untuk kelas eksperimen adalah tinggi, sedangkan untuk kelompok kontrol adalah sedang. Lebih dari 50% pendapat mahasiswa menyebutkan bahwa komponen materi, model, pedoman mahasiswa, LKM, suasana belajar dan strategi dosen dalam perkuliahan sangat menarik, sangat baru, dan sangat mudah. Agar N­ gain rerata kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol pada indikator 3 tidak mengalami peningkatan paling sedikit, maka mahasiswa lebih dimotivasi dalam mencari sumber mutakhir tentang penyelesaian masalah pencemaran udara.The purpose of this study was to analyze students material mastery and creative thinking skills after attending Environmental Chemistry-based lectures for a material issue of air pollution. This study was conducted on students of Chemistry Education at a university in Semarang for Environmental Chemistry courses in the second semester 2010-2011. Students of class 1 (20 people) as the experimental group were treated with a problem­ based approach. Class 2 (23 people) as the control group were treated with lectures as was done during this time. The collected data were then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that N -gain of matter mastery of air pollution of experimental group was moderate, as well as for the control group. N-gain of creative thinking skills for the experimental class was high, whereas for the control group was moderate. More than 50% of students said that the material component, models, students guidance and creativity sheets, an atmosphere of learning, and lecturers strategy in the lecture were very interesting, very new, and very easy. In order to gain the mean N-gain of the two groups at the third indicator did not have the least increase, the students were more motivated to look for on the newest source of air pollution problems.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to build creative thinking skills and creative attitude of students through a model of problem-based lectures Environmental Chemistry (PBL) Green Chemistry visionary. Mixed methods research design experimental models embedded with pretest-posttest control group were used in this study, and the differences between assumed initial end-tests as the effects of the treatment. Creative thinking skills measured by the essay tests, non test while the creative attitude is measured from the completed questionnaires consisting of positive and negative statements of markers creative attitude. Data measurement N-gain of creative thinking skills for the control and experimental group were 0.40 and 0.71, while the creative attitude were 0.08 and 0.34. Improved tests of creative thinking skills or creative attitudes were analyzed by t-test. Implementation of research findings indicate environmental chemistry lecture- problems based Green Chemistry vision can improve thinking skills and of creative student.

Abstract

The aims of the research are to increase creative thinking skills and creative action through the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with green chemistry insight. The research design of mixed method experimental models embedded with a pretest-posttest control group was applied to measure the effectiveness of the application of the of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with green chemistry insight at the end of the learning activities to increase creative thinking skills and creative action of students in solving various environmental problems. The results showed that creative thinking before and after implementation of the experimental class is 82.42 and N-Gain 0.73 (high category), while that in the control class is 69.85 and N-Gain 0.32 (medium category). The assessment of the creative action begins from investigating groups of problem-solving ideas written on the outcome of the discussion groups. The consultation with the lecturer is carried out for the implementation of tasks, exhibit, communication (presentation), and rewriting in the form of reports in more detail results/ products of the creative activity that has been done and also the sustainability of the action. The application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with green chemistry insight is able to increase creative thinking skills and creative action of the students.

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA merupakan pembelajaran yang membahas materi yang kita alami dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Keingintahuan siswa terhadap materi yang mereka pelajari di sekolah terhadap kaitannya dengan kehidupan sehari-hari mereka kurang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar dan perkembangan karakter rasa ingin tahu siswa melalui pembelajaran berpendekatan CTL pada materi zat adiktif dan psikotropika pada siswa SMP kelas VIII SMP. Pengumpulan data meliputi dokumentasi, tes dan observasi. Karakter rasa ingin tahu dilihat melalui observasi yang dilakukan saat pembelajaran berlangsung selama 4 pertemuan.Terdapat 4 aspek karakter rasa ingin tahu yang diamati, terjadi peningkatan rasa ingin tahu siswa dari pertemuan ke-1 hingga pertemuan ke-4 pada pembelajaran zat adiktif dan psikotropika. Karakter rasa ingin tahu yang didapatkan pada pertemuan ke-4 sebesar 62,60% dengan kriteria “Mulai Berkembang”. Sedangkan pada hasil belajar kognitif siswa tidak terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan ditinjau dari uji N-Gain. Learning science ins learning that cover topics that we experience in everday life. This study aims to determine the improvement of learning the material CTL approach addictive and psychotropic subtances in the eighth grade junior high school students. The data collection includes documentation, tests, and observation. Curiosity character seen thriug observation made during the learning take place for 4 meeting. The 4 aspects of character curiosiry observed, an increase in the curiosity of students from 1st meeting to 4thmeeting on learning addictive and psichotropic subtances. Curios character the was 4th meeting with percentage 62.60% with criteria grow begin. Meanwhile, in learning achievement no significancy increase by N-Gain.

Abstract

The study aimed at developing and evaluating a simple green electrochemistry experimental kit named Lectrofun 2.0. Lectrofun 2.0 is an educational kit equipped with a module built with the criteria of user-friendly, costeffective, and laboratory free. The basic concept of electrochemistry was introduced through a guided learning approach via the module. The objectives of this research were to (1) develop Lectrofun 2.0 module using green chemicals, recyclable and easily accessible materials and (2) evaluate the module effectiveness in terms of student achievement/understanding of the Electrochemistry topic. This is a Design and Development Research (DDR) using the ADDIE model as an instructional design model. The development phase involves the first objective of the study, while the evaluation phase involves the second objective. Total of 46 respondents of pre-post tests were involved in evaluating effectiveness of Lectrofun 2.0 in terms of student achievement/understanding of the topic. The findings showed that 73.9% of students from the treatment group showed 4-grade increment (from grade E to grade A). This study showed that Lectrofun 2.0 has a significant impact on enhancing learner comprehension of Electrochemistry topic, enjoyment in learning, and learning to care for the environment.
