Abstract

MSME in Indonesia is increasingly growing and developing, thereby increasing competition among them. For this reason, business people are required to have the creativity and innovative behavior, but in reality, not all of them pay attention to it. The research objective was to analyze innovative work behavior by mediating creative self-efficacy on MSME in Bengkulu City. The survey collected primary data using a questionnaire with a Likert scale distributed offline using the hand-delivered survey method. Sampling using a convenience sampling method and obtained a sample of 115 respondents. Based on the calculation of the convergent validity, discriminant validity, and reliability testing, the results obtained were not all indicators were declared valid and reliable, so not all indicators were used as measurements in this study. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. The results showed that intelligence has a positive and significant effect on innovative work behavior. Intelligence has a positive and significant impact on creative self-efficacy. Creative self-efficacy positively and significantly affects innovative work behavior and full mediation of creative self-efficacy on intelligence on innovative work behavior. This study is essential to spur the innovative behavior of MSME actors. The research results can be used as a basis for the government to instill creative work behavior towards MSME actors.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of environmental knowledge on consumers’ purchase intention toward eco-friendly food, both directly and indirectly through attitude as a mediating variable. Although public awareness of environmental issues continues to increase, this awareness has not been consistently translated into sustainable consumption behavior, particularly in the food sector. This discrepancy underscores the need to examine the psychological mechanisms underlying green purchase intentions. A quantitative research design was employed using Partial Least Squares-SEM (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 3.0. The study population comprised Indonesian consumers who were familiar with eco-friendly food products. Data were collected through an online questionnaire disseminated via social media platforms between July and September 2025. Of the 161 responses obtained, 137 questionnaires met the criteria for further analysis. The findings reveal that environmental knowledge has a positive and significant effect on both attitude and purchase intention toward eco-friendly food. In addition, attitude demonstrates a significant positive influence on purchase intention. Importantly, attitude partially mediates the relationship between environmental knowledge and purchase intention, indicating that knowledge alone is insufficient to fully drive consumers’ purchase intentions in the absence of favorable attitudes. These results lend empirical support to the Theory of Planned Behavior, highlighting the pivotal role of attitude in translating environmental knowledge into intentional purchasing behavior.  This study advances the consumer behavior literature on green consumption and offers practical insights for businesses and policymakers to strengthen environmental education initiatives and cultivate positive consumer attitudes toward eco-friendly food.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the direct effects of self-efficacy and self-acceptance on the adaptive performance of public sector employees, as well as to examine the mediating role of work engagement in the relationship between self-efficacy and self-acceptance toward adaptive performance. This study employed an explanatory quantitative research design using a Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) mediation analysis framework. Data were collected from 206 Civil Servants (Aparatur Sipil Negara/ASN) in Bengkulu Province through a purposive sampling method, targeting employees with at least three years of work experience. The sample size exceeded the minimum requirement for PLS-SEM based on the ten-times rule. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire distributed via Google Forms. The measurement model demonstrated satisfactory reliability, with Cronbach's alpha values ranging from 0.737 to 0.912 and composite reliability values ranging from 0.831 to 0.928, confirming the adequacy of the research instruments. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS to assess the measurement and structural models. The findings indicate that self-efficacy has a direct and positive effect on adaptive performance (β = 0.277, p < 0.001), while self-acceptance also positively influences adaptive performance (β = 0.164, p = 0.003). Self-efficacy (β = 0.426, p < 0.001) and self-acceptance (β = 0.253, p = 0.002) significantly enhance work engagement, which subsequently exerts a strong positive effect on adaptive performance (β = 0.650, p < 0.001). Furthermore, work engagement significantly mediates the relationships between self-efficacy, self-acceptance, and adaptive performance, explaining 43.0% of the variance in adaptive performance (Adjusted R² = 0.430).
