REKAYASA PROSES IRON SOFT MAGNETIC MELALUI MECHANICAL ALLOYING POWDER METALURGY BERBASIS SERBUK BESI LOKALMurjitoStaf Pengajar Jurusan Teknik Mesin, Fakultas Teknik Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang Email: moerjit@gmail.com, murjito@umm.ac.idABSTRACTSoft magnetic materials is a phenomenon that is interesting and unique, this uniqueness needs to be studied more deeply. Soft magnetic material (magnetic ferro) has been known since hundreds of years ago, but until now this process is still the process of making traditional process that is commonly used casting process. Casting process is still much to experience weaknesses and limitations, namely, melting energy is so high that no efficient, long process, the results can not be maximal, low dimensional accuracy, there is still further processes, and limited to certain elements, so that when it wants to make magnetic alloy of various elements or particles are still difficulties. To seek alternative production process of soft magnetic materials it is necessary to a solution or process engineering, on this occasion the researchers manipulate the process of soft magnetic material is iron with powder metalurgy mechanical alloying, in order to obtain the good soft magnetic iron and has high accuracy. In this study, researchers make the engineering process of soft magnetic iron production by mechanical alloying process based yan powder metalurgy local iron sands. Basis that the use of local sand backdrop of the results of the data that we can from raw materials and foundry industries penunjangsebagian materials are still imported. The ingredients are 100% pengadaanya still relies imported iron ore and materials are alloys (Alloy). The purpose of the study is the reverse process of soft magnetic iron by mechanical alloying of powder metalurgy process so that we will know the characteristics thermadinamika properties and mechanical properties of materials at various particle sizes up to the size of the micro / nano powder.Key word : soft magnetic materials, process engineering, mechanical alloying powder metalurgy

Rancang Bangun Electrolyzer Sistem Dry Cell untuk Penghematan Bahan Bakar Kendaraan BermotorElectrolyzer Dry System Design for Saving Fuel Cell VehicleMurjitoJurusan Teknik Mesin, Fakultas teknik, Universitas Muhammadiyah MalangEmail: murjito1967@gmail.comABSTRACTHHO gas is the result of the electrolysis of water which has been used as a fuel mixture in combustion engines. The application of HHO gas injection regardless of the uncontrolled burning can degrade the quality. In this research, design and manufacture of Dry Cell Elektrolyzer system and testing the characteristics of electrolysis HHO gas. This tool uses only pure distilled water medium is inserted into the tube available. In addition, NaOH or KOH is also used as an ingredient. The addition of HHO gas on combustion engines to improve the quality of combustion because gas has a calorific value and high octane. Current setting is done via Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to vary the gas production. Gas production can be setup became active at rpm above idle and the gas flow rate can be varied based on the spin machine.

Abstract

Molten metal is a method to form metal to be base material of making equipment and give great advantages to human life. Purpose of this research is to find out impact value, hardness, macro defect, and micro structure as the result of holding time in molten Al-Si. Impact value of Al-Si due to molten holding time by variation of 0, 10,20, and 30 minutes are respectively 0.37 joule/mm2, 0.29 joule/mm2, 0.30 joule/mm2, and 0.26 joule/mm2. Meanwhile, hardness value of 0, 10, 20, and 30 minutes holding time are respectively 65.886 kg/mm2, 81.681 kg/mm2, 88.86 kg/mm2 and 86.265 kg/mm2. Brittle fracture occurred in all specimens and granule size of micro structure is smaller with the holding time. This research confirms that impact value has inverted correlation to hardness value. The lower of impact value, the higher hardness value. Based on micro structure observation on Al-Si casting due to molten holding time in 0, 10, 20, and 30 minutes variation, it is obtained smaller granule size.

Abstract

This study investigated the effect of adding magnesium to the hardness of aluminum A 1100 in the casting process using Rockwell testing. Aluminum A 1100 is known to have relatively low mechanical strength but has good corrosion properties. The addition of magnesium is done to increase the hardness of aluminum A 1100. Aluminum A 1100 samples are made with variations of adding 0%, 2%, 4%, and 6% by weight. Casting is carried out using prepared sand molds, and the resulting A 1100 aluminum specimens are tested by Rockwell testing. The findings could guide industries that use aluminum A 1100 in applications requiring higher hardness, such as automotive or manufacturing. In addition, this research may serve as a foundation for further studies on the effect of magnesium addition on the mechanical properties of aluminum A 1100 using different test methods.

Abstract

This community service departs from the lack of basic understanding of ABA 25 Malang kindergarten students about the concept of energy and the importance of an energy-saving culture, a crucial issue given the challenges of the energy crisis and global climate change. To overcome this problem, we implemented a solution in the form of an interactive educational program designed specifically for early childhood. The methods used include storytelling, simulation games, educational songs, and hands-on practices (e.g. turning off lights when leaving the room or closing the water tap after use) that are presented in an interesting and digestible manner. The results of this community engagement activity showed a significant increase in students' awareness and understanding of various energy sources as well as the benefits of energy saving, as evidenced by the positive responses and simple behavioral changes that began to be demonstrated in daily activities at school. The conclusion of this service confirms that a fun and practical educational approach at an early age is very effective in instilling energy conservation values and building the foundation of environmental awareness for future generations.
