Abstract

Animal manure and water hyacinth will become waste in the environment if not utilized. One form of utilization of both is to make it as raw material for biogas. The aims of this study were: to determine the effect of the type of manure on the process of forming biogas from water hyacinth, which is related to: 1) the speed of biogas formation, 2) the temperature of the slurry , 3) the pH of the slurry , and 4) the volume of biogas produced. This study was designed with a completely randomized design (CRD), consisting of five (5) treatments, namely Treatment 1 (P 1 ) cow dung + water hyacinth + water, (P 2 ) buffalo dung + water hyacinth + water, (P 3 ) manure goat + water hyacinth + water, (P 4 ) horse manure + water hyacinth + water, and (P 5 ) broiler chicken manure + water hyacinth + water. Each treatment was repeated 4 times to obtain 20 experimental units. In this study, the composition of the mixture of raw materials was used as follows: 8 kg of chopped water hyacinth (2 cm) + 3 kg of animal dung + 2 liters of water. This is based on the results of research by Sari et al. (2014) which showed that the composition was good enough to produce biogas made from water hyacinth. The composition of the raw material mixture is as follows: 8 kg of chopped water hyacinth (2 cm) + 3 kg of animal dung + 2 liters of water. The variables observed in this study were: the rate of gas formation, slurry pH, slurry temperature, and the volume of gas produced. The research was conducted at the Biology Science Education Laboratory, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, UIN Mataram. The time of research was carried out from March to October 2018. The results showed that the type of manure only had a significant effect on the amount of biogas formed, but did not significantly affect the time of gas formation, slurry pH, and slurry temperature. Thus, the five types of manure can be used as a starter in the manufacture of biogas made from water hyacinth.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of an integrated curriculum between the national curriculum and the pesantren curriculum in vocational high schools (SMK) based on Islamic boarding schools through a literature review approach. This study is important considering the need for an educational model that can balance vocational competencies with the development of religious character in the context of modern workforce demands. The method used is a literature review by examining various scientific journals and relevant research findings related to curriculum integration and character education. Data were collected through documentation study and analyzed using descriptive analysis with a synthesis approach to compare and interpret previous research findings. The results indicate that the implementation of an integrated curriculum has a positive impact on improving students’ competencies and character development. Students tend to demonstrate better academic abilities, enhanced vocational skills, and strong religious values through the integration of learning processes, supported by a boarding school system that emphasizes discipline, worship practices, and social interaction. However, several challenges such as high academic workload, scheduling conflicts, and limited teacher competence still affect the effectiveness of implementation. Therefore, integrated curriculum implementation is an important strategy in improving the quality of education, but it requires comprehensive management, collaboration, and continuous development to achieve optimal outcomes.

Abstract

Research on the religious-humanistic leadership of madrasah principals is important because strengthening students’ character education requires a leadership approach that focuses not only on administrative aspects but also on religious and humanistic values. This study aims to analyze the implementation of religious-humanistic leadership styles by madrasah principals in shaping students’ positive character at school. The study employs a qualitative approach using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Literature sources were obtained from the indexed databases Scopus, DOAJ, and Google Scholar, covering publications from 2015 to 2025. The research process involved the stages of identification, selection, evaluation, and synthesis of literature relevant to the research topic. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of religious-humanistic leadership plays a crucial role in fostering positive student character through the integration of religious, humanistic, and moral values into school culture, the learning process, religious activities, and social interactions within the educational environment. This integration helps create a harmonious, inclusive school environment focused on strengthening students’ character.

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling) in educational quality management based on prophetic values to enhance teacher quality in a multi-site study across state Islamic senior high schools (MAN) in Central Lombok Regency. This study employed a qualitative approach with a multi-site study design conducted in several madrasahs within the MAN cluster in Central Lombok Regency. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, documentation studies, and focus group discussions, and were then analyzed thematically using triangulation technique. The findings reveal that the planning function is reflected in the formulation of work programs and teacher development planning that emphasize honesty, responsibility, and a vision for quality. The organizing function is evident in task distribution, team coordination, and the management of resources in a trustworthy manner. The actuating function is manifested through the communicative leadership of madrasah principals who motivate and provide prophetic role models. Meanwhile, the controlling function is carried out through supervision, periodic evaluation, and follow-up actions for quality improvement. The integration of prophetic values such as ṣidq (truthfulness), amanah (trustworthiness), tabligh (communicativeness), and fathanah (wisdom/intelligence) strengthens teacher professionalism, improves discipline, and fosters a quality-oriented work culture. Therefore, POAC based on prophetic values is considered a relevant approach to strengthening teacher quality within the madrasah contextKeywords: Management, Character Development, Tahfiz Program
