Abstract

This study aims to study and analyze the intensity of rainfall, flood discharge and flood control of the Ciheulang River in Caringin District, Sukabumi Regency. The method used is a statistical and empirical model analysis approach including the distribution of Log Pearson Type III, Intensity Duration Frequency and rational methods. Based on the results of the study, it is known that (1) The intensity of rainfall in the Ciheulang river in Caringin District, Sukabumi Regency in a 2 year period is 7.999 mm/second, a 5 year period 9, 215 mm/second, a 10 year period 9,922 mm/second, a 25 year period 10,736 mm/second, period of 50 years 11.297 mm/second and period of 100 years 11.825 mm/second; (2) Ciheulang river flood discharge in Caringin District, Sukabumi Regency for a 2 year period is 38.424 mm/second, a 5 year period 44,266 mm/second, a 10 year period 47,664 mm/second, a 25 year period 51.574 mm/second, a 50 year period 54.269 mm/second and period of 100 years 56,807 mm/second; (3) Control of flooding that occurred in the Ciheulang river in Caringin District, Sukabumi Regency is carried out by reducing and overcoming runoff that occurs due to planned flood discharges with various return periods, through alternative structural efforts, including: making/raising flood embankments using revetments, gabions river channel.

Abstract

The development of the construction industry is changing very quickly. This is evidenced by the many construction projects being built in Indonesia, such as buildings, roads, bridges, etc. However, the delay in the development process is still an obstacle that must be resolved, one of which is the delay in the design process, even according to previous research, the delay based on the shop drawing process is 22%. Therefore, how to overcome delays due to the shop drawing process. Can the process of making shop drawings be more efficient? To minimize delays caused by the shop drawing design, the author will conduct research to create designs using drawing applications. By integrating Building Information Modeling (BIM) several image applications which will then be combined with estimation data and project scheduling data. Many of these applications are found on the internet, but the integration applications that I will use include Vico Office for 3D, 4D, and 5D analysis, Sketchup for architectural design, Autodesk Revit for electrical design, Tekla Structure for structural design and SAP 2000 for structure analysis. It can be concluded from this study that time efficiency can be found in making project designs and can minimize delays caused by design and planning by 30% compared to the results of design and planning that do not use the concept of integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM)

Abstract

Abstract

The primary objective of this study was to explore how the Mind Mapping instructional approach influences the creative thinking abilities of fourth-grade students in mathematics. This research utilized a quantitative method employing a quasi-experimental design involving two distinct groups: one serving as the experimental group and the other as the control group. The study was conducted at SDN Karadenan, with a sample of 24 fourth-grade students participating in the experimental group and 29 students from SDN Paledang in the control group, selected through purposive sampling. The main focus was to assess the impact of the Mind Mapping approach on students' creative thinking skills in mathematics. Data was collected using the t-test method. The mean difference between the two groups was 4.89 (experimental group = 66.70 and control group = 52.65), indicating that the Mind Mapping approach was more effective compared to traditional lecture methods, question-answer sessions, and assignments. The findings were statistically significant (p = 0.000) based on Independent Sample T-Test analysis. As the significance level (0.000) was less than 0.05, the null hypothesis was rejected, confirming that the Mind Mapping approach significantly enhances creative thinking skills in mathematics among students. Thus, it can be concluded that the Mind Mapping instructional model has a substantial positive impact on students' creative thinking abilities in the context of mathematics.
