Abstract

There are many factors that can affect performance, but this study only examines factors of work discipline, work ability factors and work facilities factors. This study aims at determining the effect of work discipline variables, work ability variables and work facilities partially and simultaneously on the performance of employees at the East Medan Primary Tax Office. The population of this research is 113 employees. To determine the number of samples used the Slovin formula so that the sample is 53 employees. Data collection techniques in this study are questionnaires, interviews and documentation studies. While the data analysis technique used is the classical assumption test, multiple regression, t test, F test and the coefficient of determination. The results show that the work discipline variable has a significant effect on the performance of the employees at the East Medan Primary Tax Office, where the higher the work discipline, the better the employee's performance. The work ability variable has a significant effect on the performance of employees at the East Medan Primary Tax Office, where the higher the work ability, the better the employee's performance. The work facility variable has a significant influence on the performance of the employees at the East Medan Primary Tax Office, where the better the work facilities, the better the employee's performance. There is a significant influence on work discipline variables, work ability variables and work facilities variables on employee performance at the East Medan Primary Tax Office. The coefficient of determination is 88.40%, the variation in employee performance is explained by work discipline variables, work ability variables, and work facilities variables simultaneously, and the remaining 11.60% is explained by other factors such as organizational climate variables and leadership. It is recommended that leaders in agencies need to provide an example of discipline and assertiveness in making decisions so that work discipline in agencies can be better. In this case, every employee committing disciplinary violations, both minor and serious, must be given strict sanctions. Leaders in agencies need to make efforts so that employees have sufficient experience in their field of work and place employees in positions that are in accordance with their work experience. In this case, employees need to be given the opportunity to attend training such as training in accordance with the field of work of each employee. Agencies need to organize offices with more comfortable decorations, and also need to provide more adequate office equipment and supplies for employees to use by using the agency's budget. It is necessary to improve employee discipline and make more efforts to improve employee abilities because these variables are classified as weaker than the work facility variable. Other researchers need to do further research by using more independent variables on employee performance.

Abstract

Working performance can be influenced by several factors, such as leadership style and working motivation. Leadership style determines the employee performance since the leader has the authority to direct his/her subordinates in carrying out organizational tasks. Thus, the work motivation may also affect employee performance, for in its absence, the poor of employees working enthusiasm tend to ignore their tasks.The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of leadership style on employees performance, the effect of working motivation and simultaneously the effect of leadership style and working motivation on the employees performance of Dinas Perhubungan Pemerintah Kota Medan Officers.Population of this study are 474 officers of Dinas Perhubungan Pemerintah Kota Medan. The number of sample are 83 officer, determinated by using Slovin formula. The techniques of data collecting are questionnaires, interviews and documentation studies. While data analysis technique used are classic assumption test, multiple regression, t-test, F-test and coefficient of determination. The results showed that the leadership style variable partially has a positive and significant effect on the employees performance. The better the leadership style, the higher the employee's performance. The working motivation variable partially has a positive and significant effect on employees performance. The better the working motivation, the higher the employee's performance. Both leadership style and work spirit variables simultaneously have a significant effect on employees performance. Mostly (67.20%) of employees performance variation can be explained by leadership style and work spirit simultaneously, while the remaining 32.80% is explained by other factors, such as competency and working discipline variables. It is recommended that the Head of Dinas Perhubungan Pemerinah Kota Medan need to improve his leadership in term of democratic style, which gives the authority of employees to make decisions on their respective fields of work, as well as avoiding relationships outside of work with subordinates. The Head of the Dinas Perhubungan Pemerinah Kota Medan should improve the employees’ working motivation by implementing working ethics to increase working attendance, as well as applying the positive motivation for higher working enthusiasm by giving awards to outstanding employees.

Abstract

Employee performance is very important not only for the employee itself but also for the organization as a whole, so that every organization gives serious attention to the achievement of employee performance, which is accompanied by all efforts to improve it, so that the work target of the organization can be achieved properly. This study aims to determine the influence of commitment and workload on employee performance at Danau Toba International Hotel Medan, both partially and simultaneously. The population of this study were employees who worked at the Lake Toba International Medan Hotel, which numbered 50 people. For total population are less than 100 people, thus total population taken as samples. Data was collected using a questionnaire and documentation. While the data analysis techniques used are correlation test, t test, F test and coefficient of determination. The results of study showed that the commitment variable had a positive and significant influence on the performance of employees of the Danau Toba International Hotel Medan. The higher commitment causes employee performance to increase. Workload variables have a positive and significant influenceonemployees performance. The higher the workload, the higher the performance of hotel employees. Commitment and workload variables simultaneously have a significant influence on employess performance. The determination coefficient of 85.80% in employee performance can be explained by commitment and workload simultaneously, while the remaining 14.20% is explained by other factors, such as competency variables and work discipline.

Abstract

This study aims at determining the effect of discipline, motivation and organizational commitment on employee performance at the Medan High Court. This research is a correlational statistical study, in which the data obtained is disclosed based on data in the field. The time used in research is scheduled in January 2020 - June 2020. The independent variables in this study consist of: discipline (X1), motivation (X2), and organizational commitment (X3), while the dependent variable is performance (Y). The sampling technique in this study uses the saturated sample method. So that the number of samples in this study were 40 respondents. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that discipline partially had a significant effect on employee performance at the Medan High Court Office with a t-test value of 2.735 > from a t-table of 1.685 or with a significance value of 0.010 < 0.05. Motivation partially has a significant effect on performance at the Medan High Court Office with a t-count value of 3.709> from t-table 1.685 or with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05. Organizational commitment partially has a significant effect on performance at the Medan High Court Office with a t-value of 2.643 > from t-table 1.685 or with a significance value of 0.025 < 0.05. Discipline, motivation and organizational commitment simultaneously have a significant effect on organizational commitment at the Medan High Court Office with an F-count value of 34,967 > F-table 2.87 or with a significance value of 0,000 < 0.05.

Abstract

Pengaruh Sapta Pesona dan Fasilitas Terhadap Tingkat Kunjungan Wisatawan Di Objek Wisata Pemandian Air Panas Goa Ergendang Di Kecamatan Sibiru-Biru Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Sampel pada penelitian ini 100 wisatawan. Metode pengumpulan data dengan memberikan kuesioner kepada 100 pengunjung. Skala penelitian menggunakan skala likert. Analisis data menggunakan metode analisis regresi linier berganda.dan hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sapta pesona dan fasilitas berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat kunjungan wisatawan secara parsial maupun secara simultan. Variabel sapta pesona nilai thitung > ttabel (3,382 > 1,660) dan nilai sig < 0,05 (0,001< 0,05). Variabel Fasilitas nilai thitung > ttabel (4,237 >1,660) dan nilai sig < 0,05 (0,000< 0,05). Hasil uji F nilai F hitung sebesar 67,159 > F tabel 2,70 dengan signifikansi 0.000 < 0,05. Sedangkan hasil uji koefisien determinan nilai Adjusted R Square, diperoleh sebesar 0.572. Hal ini berarti 57,2% tingkat kunjungan dapat dijelaskan oleh variabel sapta pesona dan fasilitas. Sedangkan sisanya 42,8% dapat dijelaskan oleh variable-variabel lainnya yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini seperti : variabel promosi, kepuasan pengunjung, lingkungan, kondisi sosial, aksesibilitas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian penulis memberikan saran kepada pihak pengelola untuk mempertаhаnkаn unsur sаptа pesonа yаng sudаh baik dan melakukan perbaikan pada unsur Sapta pesona belum terlаksаnа dengаn bаik serta melengkapi Fasilitas untuk wisatawan yang masih kurang.

Abstract

Employee performance can be influenced by many factors, including motivation, talent, interests, satisfaction, and experience, as well as factors that come from outside the individual employess such as supervision, salary, work environment, employment opportunities, and promotions. But this study is limited only to work environment factors and job satisfaction. This type of research is quantitative descriptive and explanatory research. This research was conducted at the Medan Tourism Polytechnic, with a population of 101 employess, taking research samples using the sloving formula, so the sample in this study amounted to 81 people. Data collection techniques by conducting interviews and observation with questionnaire media. While the data analysis technique used is the classic assumption test, multiple linear regression, t test, F test and coefficient of determination. The results of this study are the influence of the Work Environment (X1) The Value of the t count of work environment is 2.486 and the value of t table is 1.664 the t count > t table (2.486>1.664) and the sig value<0.05 (0.015<0.05), so that the work environment partially has a positive and significant effect on the performance of the Tourism Polytechnic employees. There is the influence of job satisfaction (X2), the value of the titung variable job satisfaction is 4.135 and the t table value is 1.664, then the t count> t table (4.135>1.664) and the sig value <0.005 (0.000<0.005) so it can be concluded that work partially has a positive and significant effect on the performance of employees at the Medan Tourism Polytechnic. The results of the F test (Simultaneous Test) show that the value of F count is 35,025 with a significant level of 95% (=0.05) is 2.72 where (F count> F table) so that 35,025>2,72 and the sig value <0,05 (0,000< 0,05). This simultaneously there is a significant influence between work environment variables (X1) and the job satisfaction (X2) on the performance of Medan Tourism Polytechnic Employees.
