Abstract

This Community Service Program (PengMas) is carried out on the villagers of Parang village of Bontoramba Village of South Bontonompo Subdistrict by involving Bontonompo Health Center as the person in charge of the work area that has the target of activities. In general, the purpose of this PKM progran is to increase knowledge about hand washing using good and correct soap with 6 (six steps). A special target is the villagers of Parang village, through this activity the mothers of villagers know how to wash their hands properly with 6 (six) steps. The method used in achieving the goal is counseling with the question and answer lecture method (CTJ) to the target and villagers of Parang village of Bontoramba Village of South Bontonompo Subdistrict. The results of pengmas activities are expected to be in accordance with the targets seen from the active role of citizens during the activity.

Abstract

Breast cancer is a problem that often occurs in women both in developed and developing countries. For this reason, it is necessary to prevent the increasing mortality rate, one of which is by increasing self-efficacy which can be achieved by providing advice, information and motivation with empowerment education. Based on this, the researchers conducted this study with the aim of knowing the effect of empowerment education in increasing the self-efficacy of breast cancer patients. The research method used is a quantitative study with a one group test approach. The results obtained are from 5 (five) items of self-efficacy, 3 (three) items that have changed, namely self-confidence in getting information about illness / complaints experienced (p: 0.023), receiving help from the community, family and friends (p. : 0.02), and treats breast cancer disease and symptoms (0.041). Based on these results it can be concluded that empowerment education activities should be one of the activities of providing nursing interventions to breast cancer patients.Keywords: Empowerment Education; Self Efficacy; Breast cancer

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Mayarakat (PKM) bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi tentang stunting kepada warga masyarakat di Desa Sabbala Kelurahan Bontonompo Selatan Kabupaten Gowa. Metode PKM dengan penyuluhan yang dilakukan dengan cara memberikan materi pengetahuan dan pemahaman kepada peserta, diskusi dan tanya jawab. Respon yang diberikan oleh mitra pengabdian sangat baik, sehinga kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat dilaksanakn dengan lancar. Hasil yang diperoleh, secara keseluruhan peserta penyuluhan telah memahami stunting, ciri ciri anak yang mengalami stunting dan pencegahan terjadinya stunting

Abstract

The eye is one of the senses that is very important for humans to absorb visual information. Incorrect use of gadgets, such as excessive frequency of gadget use, improper positioning, and poor lighting intensity, will have an impact on reducing visual acuity. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence the occurrence of decreased visual acuity in adolescents using gadgets at SMP Negeri 2 Makassar. This study is an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional approach conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Makassar on August 22–24, 2022. The total population of seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Makassar was 216. Sampling was done in this study using the random simple sampling technique, with the number of samples that meet the inclusion criteria reaching as many as 77 students. Gender obtained a p value of 0.059, the use of glasses obtained a p value of 0.334, and the type of gadget obtained a p value of 1,000. The length of playing gadgets obtained a p value of 0.000, and the position of playing gadgets had a p value of 0.415. It can be concluded that the length of use of gadgets is a factor that affects the decline in visual acuity. From the results of research on factors affecting visual acuity in adolescent gadget users at SMP Negeri 2 Makassar in 2022, it can be concluded that there is no relationship between age, gender, use of glasses, type of gadget, and position of playing gadgets with decreased visual acuity, and there is a relationship between the duration of playing gadgets > 4 hours with decreased visual acuity (p 0.000) in adolescent age children at SMP Negeri 2 Makassar. to the school to conduct routine sharp vision checks at school in collaboration with the local health center.

Abstract

Introduction : Currently, stunting is one of the government's main concerns, because cases of stunting are increasing in Indonesia. The prevalence of stunting, which is in the high category, will affect growth and development failure in toddlers and will affect economic status if not taken seriously. One effort that can be done is to increase family empowerment, both through knowledge and attitudes and behavior.Objective: This study aims to determine family behavior with the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 3-5 years, where the family behavior variables consist of Clean and Healthy Behavior (PHBS), family behavior in food processing, and family behavior in feeding. Research Methods: In this study using a descriptive research design with a cross sectional study approach. The respondents were mothers who had stunted toddlers aged 3-5 years in the working area of ​​the Kaluku Bodoa Health Center, with a purposive sampling technique of 68 samples. Results: From the data analysis using SPSS with the chi square test, the results showed that there was a relationship between family PHBS behavior in food processing and feeding with the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 3-5 years. As for each value p is p1 = 0.014, p­2 ­­= 0.012 and p3 = 0.000. Conclusion: from the results of this study, it can be concluded that the family is one of the factors that can reduce the incidence of stunting, for this reason it is necessary to increase government programs, especially in health centers that involve families in efforts to prevent stunting.

Abstract

Indonesia mempunyai masalah gizi kronis yang ditandai dengan Prevalensi stunting cukup tinggi yaitu mencapai 32,8% pada baduta. Stunting dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan fisik dan mental anak, termasuk kecerdasan dan kemampuan belajar. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang pentingnya deteksi dini stunting melalui pengukuran antropometri pada usia balita.Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini pelatihan pengukuran status gizi balita diikuti dengan pemberian materi tentang pentingnya deteksi dini stunting. Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh 15 balita diperoleh sejumlah 2 anak yang mengalami gizi kurang dan 3 anak mengalami gizi sangat kurang sebagian besar berjenis kelamin laki-laki sebanyak 2 anak (40%)dan sejumlah 5 anak yang berada dalam kategori pendek dan sangat pendek, sebagian besar berjenis kelamin laki-laki sejumlah 2 anak (40%) . hendaknya kegiatan ini dapat terus berlanjut dapat terjaring secara dini dan mendapat perhatian dan tindaklanjut yang tepat sehingga stunting dapat di cegah.

Abstract

Gangguan pertumbuhan yang dialami oleh balita dapat mengakibatkan keterlambatan tumbuh kembang anak. Untuk itu pendidikan dan pengetahuan Ibu mengenai stunting sangatlah berkontribusi sehingga perlu diadakan pendidikan kesehatan maupun penyuluhan. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat agar ibu-ibu termotivasi dalam melakukan pengasuhan pada anak sejak dini di Wilayah kerja Puskesmas Bontonompo Selatan Tahun 2022. Pelaksanan kegiatan ini dilakukan oleh dosen dan dibantu oleh mahasiswa Stikes Panakkukang. Metode pelaksanaannya dibagi menjadi tiga tahap. Pertama menyiapkan kegiatan dilokasi penyuluhan dan tahap kedua menyiapkan ibu –ibu yang memiliki anak usia balita bekerja sama dengan pihak puskesmas, pemerintahan desa dan ibu-ibu kader. Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh 13 ibu yang memiliki balita. Dari hasil kegiatan ini disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan sebagai orang tua sangatlah perlu mengetahui dan memantau kondisi kesehatan balita stunting untuk meminimalisir dampak yang akan muncul serta memberikan penanganan yang baik kepada balita stunting.
