Abstract

Abstract Searching product information and purchasing goods online cause significant changes in the behavior and characteristics of traveling. Online shopping is expected to reduce shopping trips. The aim of this study is to explore the relationship between online shopping and its effect on the frequency of shopping trips. This study used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Data were obtained from questionnaires distributed online. The variables used were 5 exogenous, 3 endogenous latent variables, and 15 observed variables. The results showed that the frequency of searching for information on the internet has a positive influence on a shopping trip and frequency of online shopping. In the meantime, the online shopping frequencies have negative influences on shopping trips. In addition, online shopping is additional and substitution of shopping trips. To optimize the benefits of online shopping, in reducing the frequency of shopping trips to the store, four scenarios were made. The most effective scenario is to improve the quality of the internet network at home, which affects in the reduction of the shopping trip frequency by 53 % from the present level. Key words: online shopping, shopping trip, travel behavior, characteristic of the trip  Abstrak Pencarian informasi produk dan pembelian barang secara online menyebabkan perubahan yang penting dalam perilaku perjalanan dan karakteristik perjalanan seseorang. Belanja online diharapkan dapat mengurangi perjalanan belanja yang dilakukan seseorang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggali hubungan antara belanja online dan pengaruhnya terhadap frekuensi perjalanan berbelanja seseorang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Data diperoleh dari kuesioner yang disebarkan secara online. Variabel yang digunakan adalah 5 variabel laten eksogen, 3 variabel laten endogen, serta 15 variabel teramati. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa frekuensi mencari informasi di internet berpengaruh positif terhadap perjalanan belanja dan frekuensi belanja online. Sedangkan frekuensi belanja online berpengaruh negatif terhadap perjalanan belanja. Selain itu bagi sebagian orang belanja online bersifat tambahan dan sebagian lagi bersifat pengganti. Untuk mengoptimalkan manfaat belanja online, dalam mengurangi frekuensi perjalanan belanja ke toko, dilakukan 4 skenario. Skenario yang paling efektif adalah peningkatan kualitas jaringan internet di rumah, yang memberi dampak pengurangan frekuensi perjalanan belanja sebesar 53 % dari kondisi sekarang. Kata-kata kunci: belanja online, perjalanan belanja, perilaku perjalanan, karakteristik perjalanan

Abstract

Searching product informationand buying goods online causes significant changes in travel behavior and shopping trips. Online shopping is expected to reduce shopping trips. The aim of this study is to explore the factors that affect online shopping and its effect on the frequency of shopping trips. This study used structural equation modeling (SEM) for multiplying the relationship between online shopping and shopping trip and the factors influencing it. Data were distributed by online questionnaire and obtained 300 data and 19 data were not used because they never done online shopping. The variables used were 5 variable latent exogenous, 3 variables latent endogenous and 15 variables observed. The result showed that the frequency of searching product information has a positive effect on the frequency of shopping trips and the frequency of online shopping and online shopping has negative effect on shopping trips. These results indicated that, online shopping was additional and substitution of shopping trips. To optimize the benefits of online shopping that reduce the frequency of shopping trips did 4 scenarios. Scenarios were the most effective in reducing the frequency of shopping trips is improving the quality of internet network at home that affected a reduction of 53%from the present level.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui kerusakan pada exhaust valve mesin diesel penggerak utama, bentuk kendala yang dapat ditimbulkan jika tidak ada peawatan pada evhaust valve mesin diesel yang dilaksanakan dikapal MT. Pancaran Prosperity. Sistem kerja exhaust valve mesin diesel tersebut yaitu membuang sisa-sisa pembakaran didalam silinder yang kemudian dibuang melalui katub buang.Jenis penelitian yang dilaksanakan dikapal MT. Pancaran Prosperity adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif data diperoleh secara langsung meelalui observasi, wawancaran dan studi pustaka, sedangkan data sekunder yaitu diperoleh langsung dari pihak-pihak yang berkaitan berpa data dikapal. Hasil penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui faktor dan upaya yang menyebabkan kerusakan exhaust valve mesin diesel penggerak utama dikapal MT. Pancaran Prosperity. Hasil peneliti ini menunjukkan bahwa adalah faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya kerusakan pada exhaust valve yaitu kebocoran pada exhaust valve, keausan pada spindle valve, keretakan pada spindle valve, penumpukan karbon pada permukaan valve, dan kurangnya perawatan pada exhaust valve.

Abstract

Cadets’ academic performance is commonly influenced by internal and external factors. The internal factor that mostly influences cadets’ academic performance is growth mindset, meanwhile the external factor is campus environment. The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of growth mindset and campus environment on cadets' academic performance. This study is a quantitative study with an ex-post facto method. The research instrument was a questionnaire given to 100 participants. The data analysis technique used multiple linear analysis by using SPSS application. The results of the study showed that there was a positive effect of growth mindset and campus environment on cadets' academic performance. From the results of this study, it can be recommended that in order to improve cadets' academic performance, the learning curriculum must be able to develop cadets' thinking skills, and the campus environment must be conducive and supportive. Furthermore, institutions are advised to organize course or training programs that focus on developing cadets' thinking skills, so that cadets can be more proactive in learning activities and have growth mindset for the future. Although this study has been conducted optimally, there are several limitations that can be used as recommendations for future research. This study used a quantitative approach, further researchers are advised to use a qualitative or mix-method approach to explore more deeply the relationship between these three variables. In addition, further research needs to consider other factors that influence cadets' academic performance, such as intrinsic motivation, teaching quality, and family support.

Abstract

The development of autonomous ships signifies progress in the application of information and communication technology within the marine transportation industry. The readiness of various supporting aspects, such as ports, must accompany the operation of autonomous ships. As a maritime nation with numerous ports, Indonesia must begin to prepare for the changes in the maritime industry resulting from technological advancements that support autonomous ship operations. Teluk Bayur Port in West Sumatra, one of the ports in Indonesia, must be equipped to adapt to these changes. A crucial aspect of this preparation is the ability of the port authority and its employees to adjust to the impacts of technology implementation. This study aims to evaluate the readiness level of the port authority and its employees to adapt to the operations of autonomous ships. The research includes a survey conducted through the distribution of questionnaires, which are analyzed using descriptive statistical methods, measuring both organizational readiness and port authority employee readiness variables. Employee readiness is assessed through three indicators, while organizational readiness is evaluated through seven indicators. The results indicate that the average employee readiness score is good at 4.14, and organizational readiness is also satisfactory at 3.96, both in adapting to the changes brought about by technological advancements regarding autonomous ships. Despite both variables' overall positive average scores, several indicators require improvement. For employee readiness, there is a need to enhance knowledge about autonomous ships and the ability to prevent cybercrime. For organizational readiness, improvements should focus on organizational management, the quality of human resources, ICT facilities and infrastructure, and financial aspects.

Abstract

The maritime industry requires highly competent human resources to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of ship agency services. Maritime education plays a crucial role in equipping prospective ship agents not only with technical knowledge and practical skills, but also with essential non-technical competencies such as communication, leadership, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities. This study aims to analyze the role of maritime education in improving the performance of ship agency services, particularly in the context of modern challenges such as digitalization, automation, environmental sustainability, and increasingly complex global trade dynamics. The research applies a qualitative method with a literature review approach, examining scientific articles, institutional reports, and empirical studies published between 2020 and 2025. Findings indicate that maritime education contributes significantly to enhancing the professionalism and performance of ship agents through the integration of updated curricula, practical vocational internships, digital literacy programs, and the inclusion of green shipping awareness in learning processes. Moreover, collaboration between educational institutions, government bodies, and maritime industries is identified as a key driver in aligning educational outcomes with market demands. Educational policies that adapt to technological and environmental transitions are proven to increase employability, service quality, and competitiveness of ship agents. In conclusion, strengthening maritime education not only improves the operational effectiveness of ship agencies but also ensures their resilience and relevance in the rapidly evolving global maritime service sector.

Abstract

Maritime transportation safety is a crucial aspect in supporting maritime efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness. This study aims to analyze the implementation of government policies to improve maritime transportation safety through a literature review of various journals, international reports, and policy documents over the past five years. The study results indicate that policy effectiveness is influenced by four main factors: regulatory alignment with international standards, institutional effectiveness in supervision, utilization of technology and innovation, and strengthening a safety culture. Although Indonesia has adopted global standards such as SOLAS, MARPOL, and the ISM Code, their implementation still faces challenges such as weak oversight, low compliance, and limited cross sectoral coordination. The study's conclusions emphasize the need for an integrated approach that integrates regulation, technology, and safety culture with the support of evidence-based policies. National and international collaboration is key to realizing a safe maritime transportation system while contributing to sustainable maritime development.

Abstract

 Proses olah gerak memasuki suatu alur pelayaran sempit atau sungai dibutuhkan suatu keahlian khusus dan perhatian lebih di banding berlayar di alur bebas. Dalam aturan COLREG’S memberikan aturan khusus yang tercantum dalam aturan 9 mengenai alur pelayaran sempit. Dalam memasuki alur pelayaran sempit kapal selalu mendapatkan resiko bahaya tubrukan dan kandas. Rumusan masalah di penelitian adalah bagaimana kegiatan olah gerak kapal dan faktor apa saja yang menyebabkan terhambatnya di alur pelayaran sempit. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan mendeskripsikan secara terperinci tentang olah gerak kapal dalam memasuki alur pelayaran sempit di alur pelabuhan Belawan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa harus mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang harus di perhatikan ketika ingin melakukan olah gerak di alur pelayaran sempit seperti, pasang surut air laut, lebar dalam alur dari lumpur, arus , dan gelombang. Upaya yang dilakukan dalam olah gerak di alur pelayaran sempit yaitu mengamati dan mempertimbangkan dalamnya alur pelayaran.
