Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between strategy formation process and strategy implementation process with the usage of MCS. The focus of strategy formation process used in this study is intended strategy, emergent strategy, and implemented strategy. The focus of MCS used in this study, is interactive control system and diagnostic control system. This study uses structural equation modelling as multivariate analyses tool. AMOS software 16 program is used as the aid tool to solve the problem in SEM application. Respondents in this study are 287 upper managers who work in manufacturing industry with prospector typology strategy. The results from this study are: intended strategy positively and significantly influences the interactive control system; intended strategy positively and significantly influences the diagnostic control system; emergent strategy positively and significantly influences the interactive control system; and emergent strategy provides no influence on diagnostic control system; implemented strategy positively and significantly influences the interactive control system; implemented strategy positively and significantly influences the diagnostic control system. The strength of pressure that is used in each control system that will be able to provide optimal result has not known yet. The result of this study recommends  that firms should have used many kinds of control usage which are suited with  their condition.Keywords: intended, emergent, implemented, strategy, control system, manufacture

Abstract

The objective of this research was to test the impact of system financial and nonfinancial compensation, competency on the employee performance and on the motivation as intervening variable. The research used partial least square method for the hypotesis testing and produced 100 respondent for the sample by using nonprobability samples with the convinience method. The result of the research revealed that the system of financial and nonfinancial compensation have significance impacts on employee performance and motivation but the competency does not  significance impacts on employee performance and motivation. However, further result revealed that motivation have significance impacts on employee performance.In order to improve the employee performance, the training is a needed and should be conducted in accordance with the job position. Moreover, the fair compensation with the range not far from the employee expectation.

Abstract

This study is accomplished to reveal the relationship between strategic leadership, competitive advantage, intellectual capital by examining from the effect of strategic leadership on competitive advantage with intellectual capital as intervening variable. The sample used in this study is a company in the hotel sector in the city of Tangerang, Indonesia. Competitive advantage is one of the most important variables that can determine the capabilities of the companies. Other variable like strategic leadership also contributes on creating competitive advantage. On the other hand, the application of strategic leadership cannot be separated from the support of intellectual capital in the companies. The data analysis technique used in this study was partial least square to describe the relationship among variables. The result of this study showed that strategic leadership and intellectual capital affected competitive advantage positively and significantly in company in the hotel sector in the city of Tangerang, Indonesia.

Abstract

The significant changes in the return of the Financial Sector Stock Index both before and after the COVID-19 pandemic entered Indonesia have been the focus of attention in this study. In the midst of this uncertain condition, the Financial Sector Stock Index on the Indonesian Stock Exchange experienced noticeable changes. This research focuses on analyzing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the return of the Financial Sector Stock Index on the Indonesian Stock Exchange. The study involves the Financial Sector Stock Index as the research object, with research variables including Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Inflation Rate, and Return of the Financial Sector Stock Index. The research also examines the consistency of the relationship between GDP, inflation, and stock returns over a considerable period. The study period covers from 2019 to 2022. This research is of a quantitative nature. The model used to address the research question is the Structural Vector Autoregression (SVAR) model. The research tool in this SVAR model uses the Eviews software. Secondary data is used in this study. The research population consists of 20 companies in the finance sector listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange during the study period. The results of the Granger causality test show that inflation has a significant relationship with the return of the financial sector stock with a probability value of 0.0382. However, variance decomposition illustrates that the contribution of inflation to changes in stock returns is not very large, at 3 percent from period one to period sixteen. Meanwhile, GDP to the return of the financial sector stock index has a probability value of 0.0916 from the Granger causality test results. This means that GDP does not have a significant relationship with the return of the financial sector stock during the observation period.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh kontrol budaya, dan kapabilitas terhadap kinerja industri kreatif berskala mikro (UMKM seni pertunjukan) di Manggarai Raya. Penelitian ini mempergunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Dalam proses pengumpulan data, peneliti menggunakan dua metode penyebaran kuesioner: langsung dan tidak langsung. Metode penyebaran langsung melibatkan peneliti yang mencari responden melalui interaksi tatap muka. Sementara itu, penyebaran tidak langsung dilakukan melalui media sosial seperti email, WhatsApp, Line, dan Telegram dengan memanfaatkan fitur Google Forms untuk pengisian kuesioner. Setelah semua kuesioner terkumpul, data akan disaring dan diklasifikasikan menggunakan perangkat lunak analisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kontrol budaya berpengaruh positif terhadap kreativitas dan inovasi dalam organisasi. Terdapat hubungan antara kontrol budaya, kreativitas, dan inovasi dengan kinerja UMKM. untuk meningkatkan kinerja UMKM, penting untuk memahami dan mengelola kontrol budaya dengan baik agar dapat mendukung proses kreativitas dan inovasi

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of competence on the performance of Civil Servants (PNS), with work discipline as an intervening variable, at the Tambrauw Regency Education, Youth, and Sports Office. The research method used was a quantitative approach with correlational methods. The study population consisted of 38 employees, consisting of 28 structural civil servants and 10 functional civil servants, with a census sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SmartPLS 3.2.2 software using a Partial Least Squares (PLS)-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach. The results showed that competence has a positive and significant effect on work discipline and employee performance. Work discipline was also shown to have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, work discipline acts as a mediating variable, strengthening the relationship between competence and performance. The conclusion of this study states that increasing employee competence accompanied by the implementation of good work discipline can significantly improve employee performance.   Keywords: Competence, Work Discipline, Employee Performance, Civil Servants, SEM-PLS
