Abstract

PT Menara Cipta Mulia is a primary tin mining company. The primary tin ore processing process includes comminution, sizing and concentration activities. The stage of primary tin ore comminution begins with the crushing process using a jaw crusher and then refined using a ball mill again. Ball mill is a form that is used to shrink the grain size of materials to obtain finer materials (fine materials) and preparation of the right size for the concentration process, namely size 60.degree. -200 mesh. Variable ball mill settings that are not appropriate welcome coarse ball mill scouring material (20 s.d. 50 mesh), so we need to do the grinding again because the minerals have not been taken from the impurity minerals. The ineffective process of grinding primary tin ore records high production costs. The experiment was carried out with bait stimulating variables 3-4 TPH, 4-5TPH, and 5-6 TPH. The bait size is 0-2 cm, 0-4 cm and 0-6 cm. The air rate is 4.436 l/h, 7.394 l/h, and 11.091 l/h. The experiment was conducted 27 times with the combined formula for the results of scouring the ball mill. Based on the experiments carried out, the right material for the process of concentration size 60 s.d. Was obtained. -200 mesh, because the size of the mineral has been released from the impurity minerals. The smaller feed bait, bait size, and air flow obtained from the materials resulting from the grinding of ball mill 60 mesh up to -200 mesh height. Effectiveness of grinding get in sample 19 with the highest production value of 5 s.d. 6 TPH. This parameter is used to get the right results for the concentration process, which is 60 mesh size. -200 mesh. The effective value of the feed rate variable 5 d. 6 TPH, feedback size 0-2 cm, and water rate 4.336 l/h.

Abstract

The mining industry sector is an important sector for Indonesia's development (Prasetya and Ernest, 2013). PT Aditya Buana Inter, hereinafter abbreviated as PT ABI, is one of the mining companies that utilize natural resources in the form of rock mining (article 34) Law No. 4 (2009), in this case granite and began mining activities in 2002. The main activities in granite mining consist of stripping the overburden, drilling, blasting, dismantling, loading and transporting to the processing unit (crushing plant) with the distance from the mining front to the processing unit namely ± 1.7 km. Area of ​​40 Ha Mining Business Permit is located in Jurung village. The granite mining activities carried out by PT ABI are carried out with an open-pit mining system. Based on the PT ABI work plan for the production target of transporting granite in January 2018 is 13,000 BCM, while the actual production is only 9,085 BCM with unattainable 3,915 BCM. The percentage of granite stone production reaches 69% of the work plan target. The cause of not achieving the production target value set by PT ABI can be influenced by several factors, one of which is the ineffective amount of work time wasted. ncreased work efficiency is done by making improvements to avoidable obstacles so that the working efficiency of the loading and excavating tool has increased from 75% to 78% and transportation equipment from 70% to 77.6% with production to 11,139 BCM. Addition of transportation equipment for 1 unit match factor so that it reaches the target of 13,000 BCM

Abstract

Tin ore processing is carried out by one of the companies namely Pemali PPBT or Tin Ore Processing Center. PPBT uses SHP feeds (leftover processing results) as material used with standard levels of ± 20% Sn. This feed will then be processed first using a water table, where the results of this process are concentrated, middling and tailing products. Concentrate with high levels while middling ranges from ± 5% Sn. This feed middling air table will be processed again with the shaking table. The increase in levels that occurred during the washing process with the shaking table only increased by 10-15%. This is because there are still many looses of minerals which are followed towards middling and tailings. Therefore it is necessary to increase the level with the trial method on setting the shaking table variables such as the washing water rate of three trials namely 4,201.7 liters / hour, 2835.3 liters / hour and 829.9 liters / hour, and on the variables slope three times the test is 2.8ᵒ, 3.8ᵒ and 4.7ᵒ. As a result of this process, the shaking table has increased levels from before processing 4-6% Sn, after being processed in the shaking table in PPBT it has increased by 10-40% Sn. Optimization of Sn and recovery levels in the right shaking table for the type in PPBT is the washing water rate of 2835.3 liters / hour with levels of 40.64% Sn and recovery of 63.6%. Slope of 3.8ᵒ with a level of 22.16% Sn and recovery of 57.0%. In combination No. 6 (3.8ᵒ and 829,9 liters / hour) with levels of 40.36% Sn and recovery 49.7%.
