Abstract

Kata Kunci: Literasi Kuantitatif, Change and Relationship Abstract : This research aims to explain the quantitative literacy students examined of aspect of the content change and relationship in the algebra material in class IX A SMPN 3 Pontianak. The method of this research is descriptive with the form of case studies. The research subjects were 35 students. The test result of quantitative literacy showed that is still there is a challenge to aspects of the interpretation and communication. This looks when students are recurring write information less relevant to resolve the problem and obstructed in explained the settlement with the right. While for the aspects of representation and calculation was have an opportunity for development of quantitatif literacy. This looks when most of the students can change the problem contextual to the expression of algebra, pictures, or graphing and can do calculation well. As a whole it can be concluded that quantitative literacy students average which examined of aspects of the content change and relationship is 82,38 (scale 0-100).   Keywords: Quantitative Literacy, Change and Relationship

Abstract

Abstract                                                                            This study aimed to explain the potential of mathematical analogy studied from the cognitive style of students in the subject of radical form of class VIII F SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Raya. The research method was descriptive method with case study research. The subjects of this study were 5 students of class VIII F SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Raya 2016/2017 consisted of 1 Independent cognitive field students and 4 students of cognitive field dependent. The results of this study showed that: (1) The potential of mathematical analogy of cognitive style students of Field Independent has a high potential with a percentage of 83.33%; (2) The Potential of mathematical analogy of cognitive style students of Field Dependent has varying potential; 2 students have a high mathematical analogy potential with a percentage of 83.33%; 1 student has the potential of a moderate mathematical analogy with a percentage of 75%; and 1 student has the potential of a mathematical analogy that is very low with a percentage of 41.67%. Keywords: Potential of Mathematical Analogy, Cognitive Style
