Abstract

Competitive conditions of transport can be viewed through the service aspects of the transportation service provider. Provide service to the customer is a distinct advantage for the company. Quality of service in the company is the company's efforts to complete the consumer desires, so consumers judge that the price issued is according to the need of consumers. Percentage Menoreh Economy Class Train in Quarter I to the second quarter decreased by 30%. In the next quarter, namely the seconde quarter to the third quarter of the percentage of passengers increased by 54%. But in the third quarter to the fourth quarter the percentage increase in passengers is smaller than the percentage of 26% the previous quarter, in which each company has a hope to continue increase the number of passengers each period and improve facilities and services for the better. This study aimed to determine the effect of quality of service and price to customer satisfaction Menoreh Train.This study aimed to determine the effect of quality service and price to Menoreh Train customer satisfaction.This type of research is explanatory research. This research was uses 100 respondents who had used the Menoreh Train more than once in last three months. The sampling technique of this research is purposive sampling and accidental sampling, with data collection techniques are interviews, questionnaires, and literature. The method of analysis is validity test, reliability test, crosstab, correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, simple linear regression, t test, multiple linear regression, and F test.The result of this analysis is variable quality of service has a partial effection of customers satisfaction by 23,5%, variable of price is partially affecting customer satisfaction by 32,1%. The quality of service and price are jointly significant effect on customer satisfaction by 39,6%.Suggestions for PT. Kereta Api Indonesia DAOP IV Semarang is should pay attention and develop the existing facilities in Menoreh Train, and maintains the ticket price of Menoreh Train, if there is a company policy to increase the ticket price of Menoreh Train expected according to the range of passenger purchasing power.

Abstract

PT. Nasmoco Pemuda Semarang is a company engaged in the marketing of Toyota products for Central Java and Yogyakarta. The tied competition of automotive business led to decreased supposed to be adjective in the number of buyers and many new products from Toyota competitors sells new products with a more elegant design and reasonable price. This study is aimed to identify the driving factors of purchase decisions, specifically differentiation (X1) and promotion (X2) factor on purchasing decision (Y) in PT. Nasmoco Pemuda Semarang. The research type employed is explanatory research. The population used is the consumers buying Toyota Avanza in PT. Nasmoco Pemuda Semarang. The sample used in this study were 98 respondents calculated using the formula Slovin. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling technique. Instrument data collection technique are in questionnaires and interviews. Data were analyzed using linear regression analysis. This research concludes that the differentiation and promotion have an influence on purchasing decisions. Differentiation and promotion explained the purchase decision variable at 24.8% where differentiation has the effect of 26.1% and 15.1% promotion. Differentiation and promotion has significant effect on the purchase decision in PT. Nasmoco Pemuda Semarang, where differentiation has the highest influence. PT. Nasmoco Pemuda Semarang are suggested to frequently conduct sales promotions and provide discount that can make consumers interested to buy Toyota Avanza. Beside that, it’s suggest that PT. Nasmoco Pemuda Semarang increasing  personal selling’s aspects and direct marketing so that consumers knew the product of Toyota Avanza.

Abstract

The development of information technology can lead consumers to quickly find out information about the existence of a product. Companies are required to provide information about their products correctly so it gets a positive response from consumers. Marketing strategies do companies is to provide information to consumers through advertising. By using celebrity endorsers in advertising is expected to attract the attention of consumers and increase and can form brand image. The main problem in this research is about target that is never reached in 2011-2013 that is not optimal. This research aims to identify that the influence of celebrity endorser and the brand image of the decision the purchase of bath soap Lux.This study aims to determine the influence of service quality. Whith survey approach, which requires sample of population and questioner as a means of data collection. This research is conducted to 100 responders which buy “Lux” soap. Technique of sample is purposive sampling. The analysis method used is a correlation coefficient, the coefficients determined, linear regression simple, linear regression double, T test and F test with program SPSS version 20.Based on the result analysis, celebrity endorser and brand image are able to explain the variables of buying decision. Kontribution celebrity endorser of the buying decision as 36,4% and kontribution brand image of the buying decision as 18,5%. Celebrity endorser have value dominant as 0,528.The conclusion of this research indicated that celebrity endorserand brand image partially and simultaneously has an influence on the making decision “Lux” soap. Based on the result, PT. Unilever Indonesia, Tbk has to choose credible celebrity, maintan and improve the brand image of the company. Advice for PT. Unilever Indonesia, Tbk is retaining a celebrity who has the credibility of good and doing innovation to improve the brand image of a bath soap Lux.

Abstract

Employee performance can determine the success of a company. Several factors influencing employee performance are organizational cuture and work discipline. PT. Nyonya Meneer Semarang is a company which engaged in traditional medicine industry. The problem of this research is the decreased of production over the last  four years and did not achieve the production targets. It indicates that the employee performance is still not maximized.The purpose of this study is to identify the influence of organizational culture and work discipline to employee performance. This type of study is explanatory research using questionnaires, interview and study literature as method of data collection. This study used 79 respondents of production employee which choosen by probability sampling technique (simple random sampling). Data analysis which used in this study are simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, correlate analysis, t test and f test with SPSS.According to the study results, organizational culture and work discipline influence on employee performance. Organizational culture has influenced 0,392 to employee performance and work discipline has influenced 0,242 to employee performance. Simultaneously, organizational culture and work discipline has contributed 0,410 to employee performance.The conclusion shows that organizational culture and work discipline either partially or simultaneously influence the performance of production employee of PT. Nyonya Meneer Semarang. Based on these  results, PT. Nyonya Meneer Semarang should be able to improve the organizational culture, especially in the communication between  employee and management.  In addition,  PT.  Nyonya Meneer Semarang is expected  to improve the quality of control or supervision  to maintain and improve the discipline of employees, and make further research to find out the influence from other variables.
