Abstract

This study aims to determine the operations of the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) in collecting and distributing zakat funds in Pematangsiantar City. This research method uses two approaches, namely quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results of this study indicate that the distribution of zakat funds at the Pematangsiantar BAZNAS office is still in the nature of distributing zakat funds in a consumptive way, namely zakat funds given to mustahiq to be used in meeting the necessities of life as is the case with clothing, food and so on. And these consumptive zakat funds cannot be used as productive zakat funds or the development of zakat funds by means of business, for example, they are only used to fulfill basic needs in daily life. Supporters and obstacles in the collection and distribution of zakat funds are still lacking in facilities, both facilities and human resources who are ready to pick up donors and look for donors, then there is still a lack of awareness of muzakki in fulfilling their zakat obligations. Abstract

The Real Work Lecture (KKN) conducted by UIN SU students group 188 is a community service which aims to solve problems that exist in the community. Not only for the community but also for students, where students are able to learn from the experiences received and are able to learn more about the current state of society. This activity is able to see how big the role of students in Community Service activities in religious development and is expected to develop social competence and student personality competence. Methods of data collection is done by means of observation, interviews and use of technology. Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the contribution of tourism sector revenue to regional gross domestic product in Simalungun Regency. The type of research used is this research, namely qualitative research. Types and sources of data using a qualitative approach with secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of Simalungun Regency. The results showed that the occupancy rate of star hotel rooms and other inns in Simalungun Regency increased to 27.93 percent in 2018. Thereafter it has decreased every year from 2019 to 2021 to 18.02 percent. The number of hotels and other lodgings in Simalungun Regency in 2021 is 74. The number of hotel rooms and other lodgings in Simalungun Regency in 2021 is 1,891 rooms. The number of beds in hotels and other inns in Simalungun Regency in 2021 is 2,859 beds. The average length of stay for foreign guests in 2021 is 1.59 days while domestic guests are 1.14 days. Keywords: Simalungun Regency, Accommodation and Hotels
