Abstract

Anxiety experienced by the child can be caused by bad life experiences, like the Covid-19 pandemic. This outbreak leads to the children's mental disorders seen from their changing behavior. This study examines the implementation of Expressive Writing Therapy through diary writing to cope with the child's anxiety of the victims of covid-19. The research method used was a literature study to discuss Expressive Writing Therapy through writing a diary. The data collection technique for this study was documentation through inanimate data sources, like the book of child anxiety, journal of expressive writing, and google scholar. The research showed that Expressive Writing Therapy through diary writing could decrease the level of child's anxiety since their parents passed away due to covid-19. Writing a diary can allow the child to channel their emotions into being more positive and sharpen their brain to be more active. Expressive writing is the way for the child to write freely, so there is no need to be afraid of it. Everything that is felt by the child, like the feeling of mad, happiness, and emotion due to the unpleasant incident, can be distributed into expressive writing. Thus, the child's anxiety can be tackled. Implementation of writing therapy with Islamic psychology becomes self-therapy to improve mental health.

Abstract

Bullying has an impact on victims, not only in a short time, but in a long time. Victims usually experience various symptoms such as anxiety, depression, pain due to blows, and so on which require a relatively long time to heal. Victims of bullying also become perpetrators of future bullying because of revenge for what they have experienced. Therefore, counseling guidance has an important role in preventing bullying in high school. The purpose of this study is to analyze the model of preventing bullying cases so that they do not occur in school institutions. In this study, the author uses a descriptive method with library research. Based on the results of the study, it was found that preventing bullying behavior with a religious humanistic approach can be done by: Coping strategies, habituation, guidance, coordination with parents, affection and example, in order to provide students with an understanding of the impact that occurs after bullying.

Abstract

The principal plays a crucial role in promoting quality learning, not only through administrative duties but also through leadership and mentoring of the school community. This study aims to examine the role of the principal in improving the quality of learning at MTs Muhammadiyah 20 Natal. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The informants consisted of the principal, teachers, and students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the principal performs six main roles: manager, administrator, supervisor, educator, leader, and motivator. The principal is able to manage learning resources adaptively, ensure orderly administration, conduct continuous supervision, and encourage active and meaningful learning despite limited facilities and infrastructure. In addition, the principal provides role models and motivation to teachers and students, which has an impact on improving teaching quality and student learning motivation. These findings indicate that comprehensive and adaptive leadership contributes significantly to improving the quality of learning.
